Anthony Bennett is expected to join Shabazz Muhammad and Ronny Turiaf in California next week.
Shabazz and Ronny both went to school in California and they're expected to work out with an unconventional trainer. Fitness is the paramount concern for Bennett heading into the season, but at least he showed he can play 30 minutes in a game like he did in Las Vegas. He's a late-round lottery ticket in deeper leagues. Aug 27 - 3:14 PM

Anthony Bennett had surgery in May to correct his sleep apnea, involving the removal of his tonsils and adenoids.

Bennett also suffers from asthma, but he already feels he has "a lot more room to breathe" since the operation. His surgically-repaired shoulder has fully recovered and he looked noticeably slimmer at Summer League, so the Wolves are optimistic that he can meaningfully contribute off the bench following a disastrous rookie campaign. As long as Thaddeus Young is healthy, fantasy owners should watch Bennett's progression from a distance.

Anthony Bennett has been traded to the Wolves.

The Wolves did an outstanding job to keep Bennett and only parted with Alexey Shved and Luc Mbah a Moute instead. Bennett's rookie season was catastrophic, but he looked good in Las Vegas and was able to play big minutes. Unfortunately, the addition of Thaddeus Young pushes Bennett out of the conversation as a late-round target in standard leagues.
Aug 23 - 2:30 PM

Anthony Bennett is expected to stay with the Wolves and not be traded to the Sixers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

The deal could go down as soon as Saturday, and Bennett will have a terrific chance for regular minutes with his new team. He looked good at Las Vegas Summer League and was capable of playing 30 minutes, so he's worked himself onto the radar in fantasy leagues. Although, Thaddeus Young going to the Wolves severely hurts his upside.
Aug 22 - 12:41 AM

Anthony Bennett may not be traded to the 76ers in a trade for Thaddeus Young, according to Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune.

Zgoda added in a following tweet that he had no idea where the information came from. The Philadelphia Inquirer broke the news of a Bennett-Young deal back on Aug. 8, so we'll probably get more info on this in a few days when Andrew Wiggins is eligible to be traded. For what it's worth, teams are not going to flat-out say they're trading players.

Anthony Bennett isn't worrying about which team he plays for in 2014-15.

With a trade that will send him to Philadelphia all but complete, Bennett is concentrating on the things he can control rather than the things he can't. "I’m just a young man just ready to work," Bennett said. "Wherever I end up, doesn’t really matter to me. I just want to play the game of basketball." After a rookie season during which he averaged 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds per game, a change of scenery should help turn the 2013 No. 1 overall pick into a viable asset in most fantasy leagues leagues.

Anthony Bennett admitted that he struggled through his rookie campaign, but is looking to start anew this upcoming season.

"I can fight through adversity," Bennett said. "It wasn’t the best of seasons for me. I will admit that. Fighting the injuries and just the way things were, just never really made me give up. I always just stayed in the gym." Bennett was atrocious during his first year, averaging a meager 4.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, on 35.6 percent shooting from the field. However, if he is indeed traded to the 76ers, he will get all the opportunity he can handle in an up-tempo offense devoid of a go-to scorer. Bennett figures to be a late-round flier in standard leagues.

Anthony Bennett will be traded to the Sixers in a three-team deal, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

The Sixers are going to save some money and they'll get a chance to see what Bennett can do. He'll have an excellent chance to start next to Nerlens Noel and will only have to compete guys like Brandon Davies, Jerami Grant and Jarvis Varnado at the power forward spot. Bennett showed some potential at Las Vegas Summer League and he does offer a fantasy-friendly game if he can turn it around, so he's worth a flier late in upcoming fantasy drafts.
Aug 8 - 9:21 AM

Anthony Bennett is expected to be traded to the Wolves in a Kevin Love deal.

He will go to a team currently without a real power forward on its roster. Bennett looked great at summer league, playing 29.8 minutes per game while going after plenty of boards, and he was able to put up big stats at UNLV. He'll need to do a lot more to show he's able to do be a consistent contributor, but the opportunity is there for him so salvage his career at the very least.
Aug 7 - 7:06 PM

Anthony Bennett was pulled from a Pro-Am tournament in Canada on Tuesday, but is not injured.

His agent reportedly made the move, which should sufficiently throw the 'Kevin Love to Cavs' rumors in full gear. It makes sense, as Bennett's name has been included in potential deals for the Cavs to get Love since day one, although it's clearly speculation that something is in the works. Having said that, it's hard to think of another reason Bennett's agent would make such a move, so let the speculation begin.
Jul 30 - 12:08 AM

Anthony Bennett is down to 240 pounds from the 259 he weighed during the 2013-14 season.

He looks like a new player in summer league. Bennett's conditioning is way up, and he is much more muscular compared to his round version of last year. There are still some signs of fatigue, but he's on a mission to get better. He's had two very solid games and perhaps the Cavaliers can either play him or trade him.
Jul 13 - 7:24 PM

Anthony Bennett looked terrific during Sunday's win over the Spurs, scoring 13 points with 14 rebounds, two assists and two turnovers in 31 minutes of action.

Bennett looked confident handling the ball, he made a few nice passes, and he shot the ball with a confidence that was conspicuously absent during his awful rookie season. His improved physique and conditioning are visible and he's poised to have a bounce-back season with the spotlight trained on Cleveland's other three other No. 1 picks (LeBron, Kyrie and Andrew Wiggins).
Jul 13 - 6:00 PM

Anthony Bennett played 31 minutes vs. the Bucks on Friday, scoring 15 points with seven boards, two steals, two turnovers, one 3-pointer, two steals and eight fouls.

He looked focused before the game started and it was easy to tell he wanted to have a great game today. Bennett was even getting up and down the court in fast-break and wasn't lagging on either end. Plus, he was much better on the perimeter. Although, at times he did look like his conditioning wasn't quite up to par. He still has a lot of work to do.
Jul 11 - 10:09 PM

Anthony Bennett, last year's No. 1 pick in the draft, is reportedly in great shape and has been working hard all summer.

After last season's rookie disaster, he'll need to be in great shape and turn things around if he's going to make an impact this season. There's a reason he was taken at No. 1 last year, but he's yet to put it on display. Maybe he'll be ready to roll this season.
Jul 8 - 11:26 PM

Andrew Wiggins said he'd love to play with fellow Canadians Anthony Bennett and Tristan Thompson.

"The chemistry is already there," Wiggins said. Not many people probably want to play with Bennett based on how he played last year. He couldn't get his rookie year off the ground and had nine scoreless games while showing very little offensive promise. He'll get a chance to get it going in Las Vegas Summer League at his college home court at UNLV.
