The Raptors will waive Anthony Bennett.
That's not good for the former No. 1 pick from Canada. Bennett has only played in 19 games this year and made only 29.6 percent from the field. Maybe some team picks him up, but it seems unlikely. The report does add the Suns are interested, which would easily be the best landing spot for him. He can stay on the wire for now. Feb 29 - 2:44 PM

Some thought Bennett's homecoming would lead to a resurgence of some kind, but it just hasn't happened.

The Raptors recalled Anthony Bennett from the D-League on Friday.

He is averaging 5.8 minutes per game in 10 appearances this season, so he isn't on the fantasy radar.

The Raptors have assigned Anthony Bennett to the D-League.

Bennett will be recalled in time for Sunday's game vs. the Kings, so it will be a very quick D-League assignment. Bennett is not on the fantasy radar.

Anthony Bennett was a healthy DNP-CD on Wednesday.

He may be headed to the D-League in the near future, as early talk of him cracking the rotation has proven false.

The Raptors intended to send Anthony Bennett to the D-League for much of the 2015-16 season, but his strong preseason may earn him a spot in the rotation.

Unfortunately for Bennett, he's still buried on the depth chart behind Patrick Patterson and Luis Scola. He's averaged 27.5 DNPs over the past two seasons, due to injuries and lack of effectiveness, and he's a non-factor outside of very deep leagues.

Raptors coach Dwane Casey has been impressed with Anthony Bennett's defense.

"One thing that has impressed me is his defence," Casey said. "His defence is ahead of his offence. That was a surprise." Despite making positive impressions in Toronto thus far, Bennett remains off the fantasy radar.

Anthony Bennett started at PF for the Raptors on Wednesday and had 10 points, three 3-pointers, eight rebounds, one assist and three steals in a tough loss to the Wolves.

Patrick Patterson came off the bench and Luis Scola (rest) didn't play, allowing coach Dwane Casey to give Bennett some extended run alongside Jonas Valanciunas. He's now averaging 5.5 points on combined 6-of-19 shooting through four preseason games. Tonight was a baby step in the right direction, but there's no reason to approach Bennett on draft day.

Anthony Bennett (shoulder) returned to action in Monday's preseason game against the Warriors, scoring five points on 1-of-6 shooting with two assists in 16 minutes.

Bennett can be ignored in most fantasy leagues until he gives us a reason to pay attention.

Anthony Bennett (shoulder) will not play in Sunday's preseason game vs. the Clippers.

Bennett hyper-extended his shoulder during Sunday's practice, and the Raptors will hold him out as a precaution. Bennett will struggle to get minutes in Toronto, with Patrick Patterson and Luis Scola both ahead of him in the rotation, so there's no reason to target him in most leagues.

Anthony Bennett hyper-extended his shoulder during practice on Sunday and he's unlikely to play vs. the Clippers.

It's a minor injury but Bennett can't afford many setbacks as he fights for playing time during training camp. Patrick Patterson and Luis Scola are ahead of Bennett on the depth chart and that's unlikely to change while both veterans are healthy.

Anthony Bennett said he's excited to suit up for the Toronto Raptors this season.

Just two years removed from being the first overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, Bennett may be on his last chance to prove himself as an NBA player. "It has been something I've been thinking about growing up, watching Vince Carter play," Bennett said. "And now I'm back here. It's surreal, but at the same time it's work. I'm just ready to go all out." While Bennett looked good in international play over the summer, he'll join a crowded front court in Toronto and can be left undrafted in standard leagues.

Raptors sign F Anthony Bennett.

After it was widely reported that Bennett would head back home and join the Raptors, Toronto makes the move official. While it's a good landing spot from a psychological standpoint for Bennett, he has a ton to prove in a crowded frontcourt. He's not a fantasy target at this time.

Anthony Bennett signed a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum with the Raptors on Sunday.

Bennett has been a disaster during his brief NBA career so far, but he will get a fresh start in Toronto and did have some nice moments for Team Canada this summer. Bennett will have to try and steal some minutes away from Patrick Patterson and Luis Scola, but he isn't on the fantasy radar in standard leagues.
