Anthony Bennett excelled for the Canadian national team on Sunday, posting 10 points, 13 rebounds, one steal and one block in a win vs. Argentina.
He was solid defensively and could have scored more if he'd taken more shots, finishing 4-of-9 from the field and 2-of-3 at the FT line. He played a team-high 33 minutes and has been great during international competition this summer, which may encourage the Wolves to keep him around for the regular season. He's not a viable fantasy pick in standard leagues. Aug 23 - 6:51 PM

Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press said that the Wolves would move Anthony Bennett for the right price, but he added that there are no active discussions right now.

There was a report on Friday night which hinted that Portland and Minnesota were engaged in trade talks, but it's not clear what pieces were involved. However, Krawczynski denied that those talks took place, so it will be interesting to see if anything else develops. Bennett is widely considered to be a bust, and he will have to do a lot just to crack Minnesota's rotation this season.

The most "perilous players" on the Wolves appear to be Anthony Bennett and Damjan Rudez, according to Dennis Brackin of the Star Tribune.

To be clear, this isn't a report and it looks like a gut feeling. This coincides with some other guesses, which further shows that Adreian Payne is way ahead of Bennett. If he's cut, that would ruin the fun piece of trivia of the No. 1 picks from the drafts of 2013, 2014 and 2015 being on the same roster.

Flip Saunders said there is no denying Anthony Bennett's talent, and that it's simply about him getting healthy and getting in shape.

"We’re going to evaluate him over the summer," Saunders said. "He played a good Pan American Games. There is no question about his talent. It’s about getting in shape. He’s in shape now. But it’s going to be competitive with all those guys, and also [Nemanja] Bjelica, who no one talks about." Saunders also added that Bennett's confidence levels have taken a hit because of his inability to stay healthy. Minnesota's rotation is pretty crowded right now, so it's hard to imagine Bennett carving out a large enough role to matter in standard leagues.

Anthony Bennett played well against Brazil on Saturday with 18 points and nine boards.

He had a nice run at the Pan-Am games, averaging 15.6 points and 9.4 boards. Bennett looked good in Las Vegas last summer, so another offseason run doesn't really indicate he's ready for a breakout.
Jul 25 - 8:18 PM

The Timberwolves have made Anthony Bennett available in a trade, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.

The Sixers might be interested if the deal is for a future second-round pick. In all sincerity, Bennett has absolutely no trade value right now, and that's an indication of where his stock is around the league after being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 class.
Jun 22 - 1:44 PM

Anthony Bennett has already started training in Santa Barbara and is hoping to lose 15 lbs.

It's great to see Bennett taking steps to improve upon his conditioning, and he is also reportedly focusing on fixing his shot mechanics. He is still widely considered to be a bust, and his season averages of 5.2 points and 3.8 boards are even more disappointing when you consider how bad the Wolves were. We will track his progress closely in the offseason, but he has a long way to go before he pops up on the fantasy radar again.
May 9 - 11:59 AM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will play during Wednesday's home game vs. OKC.

He's missed six straight games and has played a total of 33 minutes since Feb. 20. The Wolves are desperately short-handed and they'll give Bennett as many minutes as he can handle, but fantasy owners may want to shy away from him -- he's likely to be very rusty and only has a handful of productive games this season.
Apr 15 - 6:57 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Thunder.

Bennett isn't 100 percent and has been sidelined since the start or April, but he may forced to play heavy minutes if he is cleared to return. However, owners in standard leagues will probably want to avoid this situation due to all the uncertainty surrounding this situation. Expect an update closer to tip-off.
Apr 15 - 11:01 AM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will not play vs. the Pelicans on Monday.

It doesn't look like he will be able to return this season and his last chance to suit up will be vs. the Thunder on Wednesday. It's safe to leave Bennett on the wire in all leagues, while Adreian Payne will continue to play heavy minutes at power forward.
Apr 12 - 2:10 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will not play against the Warriors on Saturday.

He is likely out for the season. The Wolves cleaned up in the Kevin Love trade with how amazing Andrew Wiggins is playing right now, but the 2013 No. 1 pick hasn't lived up to the billing.
Apr 11 - 3:30 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will not play Friday against the Lakers, as expected.

Bennett is not traveling with the team on their road trip, so it's safe to say he will remain sidelined for Sunday's game vs. the Warriors as well. After being selected No. 1 overall during the 2013 draft, Bennett has played in just 108 games through two seasons, putting in career averages of 4.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game on 39.3 percent shooting from the field. If he wants to shed the "bust" label, he has a very long way to go.
Apr 9 - 2:50 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will not travel with the team for the upcoming road trip.

He is likely going to miss at least four games. The Wolves have been running an eight-man rotation with Chase Budinger logging several minutes as the stretch four. Justin Hamilton should be owned in all standard leagues while Robbie Hummel is worth a look, too.
Apr 6 - 2:25 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. Orlando, as expected.

With Bennett out, expect Adreian Payne and Justin Hamilton to get all the run they can handle as the few standing healthy bodies in Minnesota's frontcourt. Bennett belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Apr 3 - 12:49 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) is doubtful to play Friday vs. Orlando.

Bennett just can't seem to get healthy this season, and with the Timberwolves playing for nothing more than draft picks, we don't expect him to give it a go. Adreian Payne will see his minutes in the 30s with zero depth behind him, but he doesn't bring enough to the stat sheet to be considered a viable option in standard leagues.
