Anthony Bennett was limited to just four minutes during Wednesday's game because he is dealing with a painful blister under a callus on his foot.
Bennett was limited during Thursday's practice, and while he hasn't been listed on the injury report yet, we'll consider him questionable for Friday's game vs. the Celtics. He's not worth owning in most leagues. Dec 18 - 5:44 PM

Date:

Anthony Bennett played just four minutes and failed to score on Wednesday.

We haven't heard of an injury and his production has dried up, scoring a total of eight points over his last three games. Maybe he'll get hot again at some point, but for now he probably belongs on your waiver wire since Thaddeus Young is back and taking up all the PF minutes.
Dec 4 - 1:32 AM

Anthony Bennett's four-game streak of double-digit scoring came to a screeching halt on Sunday, as he scored only two points on 1-of-4 shooting in 11 minutes.

Bennett grabbed six rebounds but this was a flop for anyone who relied on him given his average of 13.3 points over the past four games. Thaddeus Young's return is a direct challenge to Bennett's playing time, and Shabazz Muhammad was on fire off the bench tonight, so coach Flip Saunders decided that Bennett was the odd-man out.
Nov 30 - 11:51 PM

Anthony Bennett moved back to the bench against the Bucks on Wednesday with 12 points, four rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 21 minutes.

The Wolves have to move some guys around, so Bennett could get minutes in the 20s for his versatility. He's probably not quite worthy of ownership in standard leagues, but we'll watch him because he's capable of filling the stat sheet and hasn't really squandered his chances since summer league.
Nov 27 - 2:07 AM

Anthony Bennett moved into the Wolves' starting lineup on Saturday, posting 10 points, six boards, two assists, one steal and two blocks at PF alongside Gorgui Dieng.

Bennett hit 5-of-11 shots and didn't turn the ball over in 30 minutes, which would likely have earned him another start on Wednesday if Thaddeus Young (personal) wasn't expected back in the lineup. Owners in 12-team leagues can leave Bennett on the waiver wire for now, but keep this performance in mind as the season progresses.
Nov 22 - 11:24 PM

Anthony Bennett will start for the Wolves on Saturday, sending Shabazz Muhammad to the bench.

Bennett scored 20 points with three rebounds in 32 minutes of action on Friday and coach Flip Saunders rewarded him with this start, though it's unlikely to last long with Thaddeus Young (personal) targeting a return on Wednesday. Fantasy owners should feel confident deploying Bennett for Saturday's matchup vs. the Kings.
Nov 22 - 7:58 PM

Anthony Bennett scored a career-high 20 points against the Spurs on Friday with three rebounds, one assist and three steals in 32 minutes.

He looked great tonight and was more than capable of playing minutes at center off the bench. Bennett only played 14 minutes on Wednesday and he is probably going to see more consistent minutes even when Thaddeus Young (personal) returns next week. Still, he's not worth grabbing in standard leagues.
Nov 21 - 11:09 PM

Anthony Bennett came off the bench against the Knicks on Wednesday with six points, three rebounds, one steal and three fouls in 14 minutes.

He was expected to start, but the Wolves went with Shabazz Muhammad. Bennett was a bit lazy with his shot selection and he didn't help his chances for minutes down the line. Muhammad looks like the better player to own in deep leagues.
Nov 20 - 1:54 AM

Anthony Bennett is expected to draw the start for Wednesday's game, with Thaddeus Young (personal) not due back until at least Sunday.

Bennett has an excellent chance to make a big impression, and he will likely see big minutes as he and Gorgui Dieng are the only active bigs for Minnesota (unless you count Robbie Hummel). Owners in need of short term value or in daily leagues would be advised to take a flier on Bennett.
Nov 19 - 1:02 PM

Anthony Bennett made his first career start on Saturday with 10 points, seven rebounds, four assists and no turnovers in 29 minutes.

Last year's No. 1 in the draft has finally got it going with his second team. Bennett is starting to shed the bust label, but he's not much of a fantasy pickup with Thaddeus Young (personal) likely to join the team soon. He probably did enough to earn a start should Young miss another game.
Nov 16 - 1:19 AM

Anthony Bennett will make his first career start on Saturday, pushing Gorgui Dieng to the bench.

Thaddeus Young (personal) is not with the team so there are a lot of minutes available Saturday. Dieng got the nod in the starting lineup on Friday, but they were destroyed by the Pelicans so it is Bennett's turn to get an extended look. Bennett will only be useful for owners in need of short-term value or for daily leagues, as Thaddeus Young will likely be back soon.
Nov 15 - 8:06 PM

Anthony Bennett scored four points on 1-of-4 shooting with three rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 17 minutes off the bench with Thaddeus Young (personal) out on Friday.

Bennett is going to be a risky spot-play even if he somehow gets a start while Young misses at least one more game.
Nov 15 - 1:31 AM

Anthony Bennett (knee) is active or Wednesday against the Rockets.

He has been out since Nov. 7 with some knee soreness. Bennett will back up Thaddeus Young, but he's unlikely to get significant minutes. Shabazz Muhammad will lose a handful of minutes tonight.
Nov 12 - 7:57 PM

Anthony Bennett (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Rockets.

He was able to practice on Tuesday, but there is still no word as to whether or not he will play. Regardless, Bennett won't see a large enough role as long as Thaddeus Young is healthy and can be left on the waiver wire in most leagues. If Bennett can't go, expect Shabazz Muhammad to get most of his minutes.
Nov 12 - 11:09 AM

Anthony Bennett (knee) will not play against the Heat on Saturday.

He had soreness at Friday's shootaround and there's no word as to how much the issue is bothering him. With Bennett out, Shabazz Muhammad is likely to pick up most of his minutes, but he's not worth using in most leagues.
