Anthony Bennett grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds in a start against the Bucks on Saturday, adding seven points and one assist in 23 minutes.
Right before the game, coach Kenny Atkinson said "another guy" was going to have to step up for Trevor Booker (illness), so that singular guy turned out to be Bennett. Booker is likely just day-to-day with his illness, but Bennett likely gets another chance if Booker needs to miss another game. Dec 3 - 7:38 PM

Anthony Bennett is listed as the starter against the Bucks on Saturday with Trevor Booker (illness) out.

It makes some sense because the Nets are really thin at power forward. Bennett hasn't been in the rotation, but he may get minutes over 20 in the first unit. Justin Hamilton figures to get several minutes off the bench behind Bennett and Lopez, so he's worth a look in DFS as well.
Dec 3 - 4:13 PM

Anthony Bennett has been recalled from his D-League stint.

From the No. 1 overall pick to D-League regular; Bennett has precisely zero fantasy value.
Nov 29 - 5:59 PM

Anthony Bennett has been assigned to the D-League.

He's averaging 10.3 minutes per game and his role may not grow until after the All-Star break.
Nov 27 - 10:45 AM

Anthony Bennett scored 15 points with five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one turnover in 21 minutes against the Knicks on Saturday.

He went to the line 14 times and made 11 of them for the majority of his scoring. The Nets are a mess at power forward, so maybe Bennett can get on the roster. Additionally, Chris McCullough's rough month continued, scoring seven points with seven rebounds and six turnovers in 21 minutes on Saturday.
Oct 8 - 10:35 PM

Brooklyn coach Kenny Atkinson believes Anthony Bennett will help the Nets with his rebounding and versatility on the offensive end.

"Rebound the ball, run the court and really help us on the defensive end with his length and size and speed. Then the other parts of the game, that’ll come," Atkinson said. "I think he’s proved with Team Canada he can shoot the three, I think he’s proved that he can drive it, I think he can proved he can be a versatile offensive player, but with his package, we want to minimize it a little instead of expand it." Bennett is looking forward to a fresh start in Brooklyn and said that he's already feeling his confidence return. He's not guaranteed a role with his new team, so he needs a strong training camp.
Jul 26 - 12:58 PM

Anthony Bennett feels that Brooklyn is a "great fit" for him, and he's eager to get off to a fresh start.

"I feel like it is a great fit for me," Bennett said. "Starting fresh, starting young, bringing a lot of people in. I feel like I can be one of those key pieces." This will be Bennett's third fresh start, so we're not convinced he'll be able to make much of this newfound opportunity. The former No. 1 overall pick was unable to beat out Adreian Payne for minutes in Minnesota, and couldn't even get on the court during his brief stint in Toronto despite the team's need for production at the power forward position, so we don't imagine him playing a significant role for the Nets this upcoming season.
Jul 15 - 11:23 AM

Anthony Bennett has signed with the Nets, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Bennett's deal will reportedly be for two years and the second year would be partially guaranteed. While Bennett was the No. 1 overall pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, he isn't currently a target in standard fantasy leagues.
Jul 14 - 12:46 PM

The Nets and free agent Anthony Bennett have mutual interest, according to the AP's Michael Scotto.

Bennett already worked out for Brooklyn, in addition to the Knicks, so this isn't a surprising report. The former No. 1 pick has yet to find sustained success in the NBA, but it sounds like he'll get another chance next season, whether it comes in Brooklyn or somewhere else.
Jul 10 - 10:05 PM

Anthony Bennett could have an agreement with an NBA team because he was able to get insurance to play with Canada.

Bennett has worked out for the Knicks and the Nets and Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders reported that he looked great at both. Still just 23 years old, it wouldn't be a surprise if the former No. 1 pick got another chance. At the worst, Bennett should at least get an invite to the summer league.
Jun 19 - 10:03 AM

Anthony Bennett participated in the final day of Team Canada's training camp on Wednesday.

Bennett has reportedly slimmed down and will join the team as they attempt to qualify for the 2016 Olympics. The 23-year-old has recently worked out for several NBA teams and could help his case with a strong showing on the international stage. While the former No. 1 pick could earn a training camp invite somewhere, he won't have much fantasy value 2016-17.

Jun 16 - 10:56 AM

Anthony Bennett will work out for the Knicks on Wednesday.

Royce White, Arnett Moultrie, Pierre Jackson and Ognjen Kuzmic will also be amongst those in attendance for Wednesday's workout in New York. The Knicks do not currently own a draft pick in the 2016 NBA draft, so they may need some lower-tier free agents to fill out their roster. However, none of these guys are likely to make an impact in fantasy hoops this upcoming season.

Anthony Bennett reportedly "did very well" at the Nets' recent free agent mini-camp.

The former No. 1 pick has been a major bust during his three-year NBA career, but he's still just 23 years old and the Nets aren't exactly loaded with talent. Bennett should get a chance to impress at the summer league where he's had some previous success, so maybe he can earn a roster spot in Brooklyn.
Jun 4 - 10:12 AM

Anthony Bennett is expected to work out at the Nets' minicamp this week.

This would be arguably the best spot for him, so he's going there to impress. The Nets have some major depth issues at power forward behind Thaddeus Young and they don't have a first-round pick either. Obviously he'll have to show strong conditioning at the workout and likely would have to have a monster summer league. For what it's worth, the UNLV product has been great at Vegas in the past.
May 23 - 10:25 PM

The Raptors will waive Anthony Bennett.

That's not good for the former No. 1 pick from Canada. Bennett has only played in 19 games this year and made only 29.6 percent from the field. Maybe some team picks him up, but it seems unlikely. The report does add the Suns are interested, which would easily be the best landing spot for him. He can stay on the wire for now.
