The Timberwolves have made Anthony Bennett available in a trade, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein.
The Sixers might be interested if the deal is for a future second-round pick. In all sincerity, Bennett has absolutely no trade value right now, and that's an indication of where his stock is around the league after being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 class. Jun 22 - 1:44 PM

Date:

Anthony Bennett has already started training in Santa Barbara and is hoping to lose 15 lbs.

It's great to see Bennett taking steps to improve upon his conditioning, and he is also reportedly focusing on fixing his shot mechanics. He is still widely considered to be a bust, and his season averages of 5.2 points and 3.8 boards are even more disappointing when you consider how bad the Wolves were. We will track his progress closely in the offseason, but he has a long way to go before he pops up on the fantasy radar again.
May 9 - 11:59 AM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will play during Wednesday's home game vs. OKC.

He's missed six straight games and has played a total of 33 minutes since Feb. 20. The Wolves are desperately short-handed and they'll give Bennett as many minutes as he can handle, but fantasy owners may want to shy away from him -- he's likely to be very rusty and only has a handful of productive games this season.
Apr 15 - 6:57 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Thunder.

Bennett isn't 100 percent and has been sidelined since the start or April, but he may forced to play heavy minutes if he is cleared to return. However, owners in standard leagues will probably want to avoid this situation due to all the uncertainty surrounding this situation. Expect an update closer to tip-off.
Apr 15 - 11:01 AM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will not play vs. the Pelicans on Monday.

It doesn't look like he will be able to return this season and his last chance to suit up will be vs. the Thunder on Wednesday. It's safe to leave Bennett on the wire in all leagues, while Adreian Payne will continue to play heavy minutes at power forward.
Apr 12 - 2:10 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will not play against the Warriors on Saturday.

He is likely out for the season. The Wolves cleaned up in the Kevin Love trade with how amazing Andrew Wiggins is playing right now, but the 2013 No. 1 pick hasn't lived up to the billing.
Apr 11 - 3:30 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will not play Friday against the Lakers, as expected.

Bennett is not traveling with the team on their road trip, so it's safe to say he will remain sidelined for Sunday's game vs. the Warriors as well. After being selected No. 1 overall during the 2013 draft, Bennett has played in just 108 games through two seasons, putting in career averages of 4.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game on 39.3 percent shooting from the field. If he wants to shed the "bust" label, he has a very long way to go.
Apr 9 - 2:50 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will not travel with the team for the upcoming road trip.

He is likely going to miss at least four games. The Wolves have been running an eight-man rotation with Chase Budinger logging several minutes as the stretch four. Justin Hamilton should be owned in all standard leagues while Robbie Hummel is worth a look, too.
Apr 6 - 2:25 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. Orlando, as expected.

With Bennett out, expect Adreian Payne and Justin Hamilton to get all the run they can handle as the few standing healthy bodies in Minnesota's frontcourt. Bennett belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Apr 3 - 12:49 PM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) is doubtful to play Friday vs. Orlando.

Bennett just can't seem to get healthy this season, and with the Timberwolves playing for nothing more than draft picks, we don't expect him to give it a go. Adreian Payne will see his minutes in the 30s with zero depth behind him, but he doesn't bring enough to the stat sheet to be considered a viable option in standard leagues.
Apr 2 - 4:51 PM

Anthony Bennett, who was already iffy for Wednesday's game with a sprained ankle, tweaked it again on Wednesday and played just 14 minutes.

He had eight points and four rebounds, and should be considered questionable for Friday's game. The Wolves are literally down to a two-man bench, and Robbie Hummel would likely see a bunch of minutes if Bennett is out against the Magic on Friday.
Apr 2 - 1:03 AM

Anthony Bennett (ankle) is being listed as probable for Wednesday's game vs. the Raptors.

Bennett re-sprained his ankle on Sunday, and he was limited to just seven minutes of action on Monday. He'll likely be able to give it a go on Wednesday, but he'll also likely have his minutes held in check, making him an extremely risky play in most leagues. Until he's back to 100 percent healthy, Bennett can't be viewed as a viable option in standard leagues.
Mar 31 - 4:12 PM

Anthony Bennett is probable to play against the Jazz on Monday.

He re-sprained his ankle on Sunday in his return and was held to just 12 minutes. Bennett would likely get a nice chunk of Gorgui Dieng's minutes, so he's on the fantasy radar right now. Even with some upside, it's still too hard to count on him until we see him get over 20 minutes in a game.
Mar 30 - 2:08 PM

Anthony Bennett "re-sprained his ankle a little" on Sunday, according to Flip Saunders, but Bennett downplayed the injury after the game.

"It felt good," he said. "It just got a little sore near the end, but I tried to push through." Saunders also said that Bennett looked "rusty," which is understandable considering he'd missed more than a month of action. He belongs on the waiver wire while getting back up to speed.
Mar 30 - 1:12 AM

Anthony Bennett (leg) returned to action on Sunday with two points, one rebound, two assists and one steal in 12 minutes off Minnesota's bench.

The former No. 1 pick hadn't played since a nine-minute stint in late February, so it's no surprise to see the Wolves ease him into the rotation. A fully-healthy Bennett could make some noise down the stretch, but time is quickly running out with only nine games left on the schedule. Better luck next year.
