Cody Zeller (quad) and Miles Plumlee (calf) will not play Wednesday vs. the Raptors.
The Hornets have to hope that a week off for the All-Star break will give Zeller the time he needs to heal. With Plumlee also missing Wednesday's game, Frank Kaminsky will be the only active center on the roster. Kaminsky could see north of 40 minutes if he can stay out of foul trouble, which makes his a very strong streaming option and DFS play for Wednesday. Feb 14 - 12:41 PM

Cody Zeller (quad) will not play on Monday vs. the 76ers according to coach Steve Clifford.

He aggravated his quad injury back on Thursday vs. the Rockets and this will be his second game in a row on the shelf. Zeller was originally listed as doubtful, so don't be surprised if he misses more time. Frank Kaminsky is worth deploying in most leagues and is averaging 15.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.7 triples in three starts at center this season.

Cody Zeller (quad) is listed as doubtful for Monday's game vs. the 76ers.

Zeller recently aggravated his quad injury and it would be a mild surprise if he suits up on Monday. Frank Kaminsky and Miles Plumlee will hold down the center spot until Zeller is healthy enough to return.
Feb 12 - 3:55 PM

Cody Zeller (quad) will not play against the Clippers on Saturday.

He aggravated his quad contusion on Thursday and did not return. Zeller getting ruled out before warmups isn't exactly a good sign, so he might need to miss time until the All-Star break. The Hornets were starting Frank Kaminsky at center, but that might not be a great plan against DeAndre Jordan. If Frank does start, he's an interesting option tonight while Miles Plumlee should get some added run.
Feb 11 - 3:08 PM

Cody Zeller (quad) is questionable for Saturday against the Clippers.

Coach Steve Clifford did downplay the injury after Thursday, but an aggravation is always troubling. Zeller is almost certainly going to be a game-time call after missing the seven games before Thursday. If he can't go, the Hornets may not be able to get away with Frank Kaminsky at the five and could start Miles Plumlee.
Feb 10 - 2:13 PM

Coach Steve Clifford said he didn't think Cody Zeller (quad) did anything to aggravate his injury.

He did look fine for the most part, but there was a fall in the second half when Zeller just didn't see comfortable afterwards. Hopefully, he'll be back out there again and won't need to miss time after he missed seven games. Fantasy owners in standard leagues needing a big should pick him up because he was playing well and he has a nice floor.
Feb 10 - 1:02 AM

Cody Zeller (quad soreness) will not return on Thursday against the Rockets.

He didn't quite look right and he looked even worse after he fell to the ground in the second half. The Hornets pulled out all the stops and even used Marvin Williams at the five tonight, but it was like about the matchup against the Rockets. There's a good chance Zeller is going to miss time with this aggravation. He finished with nine points, four rebounds, one assist and two steals. Zeller is still a hold and hopefully we get some info about the severity after the game.
Feb 9 - 9:10 PM

Cody Zeller (quad) is expected to start on Thursday vs. the Rockets.

"Unless something happens between now and tonight's game, Zeller will play and will start," head coach Steve Clifford said at Thursday's morning shootaround. He will be returning from a seven-game absence and could be limited in his first game back, but we'll keep an eye out for any updates on potential minute restrictions. Frank Kaminsky filled in admirably for Zeller, but he loses a lot of fantasy appeal with Zeller back in the mix. Zeller is averaging 10.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.7 steals on 59.0 percent shooting, so he's worth picking back up in standard leagues.
Feb 9 - 11:06 AM

Cody Zeller (quad) is being listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Rockets.

Head coach Steve Clifford hinted on Tuesday that Zeller was getting close to a return, but we'll have a better idea of his status following Thursday morning's shootaround. If he is able to get back, Frank Kaminsky will return to the bench and his value will take a hit with the demotion to the second unit. Stay tuned.
Feb 8 - 1:45 PM

Hornets head coach Steve Clifford hinted on Tuesday that Cody Zeller (quad) is close to being ready to play again.

Zeller has spent the past seven games on the sidelines, but he was a game-time call on Tuesday, and it sounds like there's a chance we could see him back in action for Thursday's game against the Rockets. Owners will have to wait for another update following Thursday morning's shootaround, but if he is able to return to the court, he'd send Frank Kaminsky back to the bench and Kaminsky's value would take a decent sized hit with the return to the second unit.
Feb 8 - 10:07 AM

Cody Zeller (quad) will not suit up for Tuesday's game against the Nets, and Frank Kaminsky will draw the start in his place.

This will mark Zeller's seventh straight game on the sidelines, but given that he was a game-time call tonight, it does appear he's inching his way closer to a return. Kaminsky makes for an intriguing DFS option tonight with an uptempo matchup against the worst team in the league at defending the center-spot. For now, we'll be considering Zeller questionable for Thursday's game against the Rockets, and owners can expect another update following Thursday morning's shootaround.
Feb 7 - 5:54 PM

Cody Zeller (quad) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's contest vs. the Nets, but will start if he can play.

Zeller has missed each of the Hornets last seven games but appears to be on the verge of a return. If Zeller does not suit up, then Frank Kaminsky will draw the start, with Miles Plumlee coming off the bench to back him up. Kaminsky scored 15 points in 32 minutes in his previous start on Saturday.
Feb 7 - 5:32 PM

Cody Zeller (quad) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Nets.

Zeller has missed seven straight games due to the quad contusion. With the Hornets thin at center after their recent trade, Frank Kaminsky is expected to draw another start if Zeller is unable to play. Kaminsky started and scored 15 points and grabbed two rebounds in 32 minutes before fouling out in Charlotte's previous contest on Saturday. Miles Plumlee saw 18 minutes off the bench.
Feb 7 - 11:24 AM

Cody Zeller (quad) will not play against the Jazz on Saturday.

The Hornets are going to be razor thin at the five with Spencer Hawes and Roy Hibbert in Milwaukee. They are going to start Frank Kaminsky at the five while Miles Plumlee should be available. Zeller was playing well before his injury, but this much time off justifiably can cause his owners to drop him. At worst, he should be back after the break.
Feb 3 - 2:28 PM

Cody Zeller (quad) is listed as out in the game notes for Wednesday against the Warriors.

This is off the game notes, so Zeller isn't 100 percent out. That said, we're not expecting him to play due to multiple bruises from his hip to his knee. Assuming he is out, the Hornets are likely going to go smaller against the Warriors and the way they cause switches. That could get Frank Kaminsky to minutes in the mid 20s, but he did only play 18 minutes against them last week due to making just 1-of-8 from the field on Jan. 25. Spencer Hawes should benefit most.
