Cody Zeller made a long overdue positive outing against the Thunder on Saturday with 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal and four blocks.
He was a ghost in February before tonight, averaging 3.4 points, 4.8 boards and 1.0 blocks on 26.1 percent from the field. Zeller has really regressed on the offensive side and we'll really need him to do it again before suggesting him as an add. Feb 21 - 9:34 PM

Date:

Cody Zeller scored just five points with four rebounds and one block against the 76ers on Saturday.

That's back-to-back ugly games, which stings even worse in the favorable matchup. Zeller had a nice 10-day run before this week, but he's scored only seven points combined in his last three. He's still worth owning in standard leagues unless it's to add a red-hot free agent.
Feb 7 - 10:38 PM

Cody Zeller did not score on his three attempts from the field on Thursday against the Wizards, adding five rebounds, one assist, one block and three turnovers in 23 minutes.

The Wizards are capable of shutting down a lot of power forwards, especially with Nene active. Zeller scored just two points in 31 minutes on Monday against the Wizards, so the matchups have affected him. His owners will want to see how he does against the 76ers on Saturday before rushing to judgment. He's been a top-75 player in the past two weeks and is worth owning in standard leagues.
Feb 5 - 9:32 PM

Cody Zeller scored just two points with three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 31 minutes against the Wizards on Monday.

While the points weren't there, he still put up decent assists. Coach Steve Clifford loves to run offense through the post, so there's a nice opportunity for him while Kemba Walker (knee) is out. He's worth a look, but his upside isn't too high to begin with.
Feb 2 - 10:52 PM

Cody Zeller scored a career-high 21 points in a win over the Nuggets on Saturday while adding eight boards, three assists, three steals and two blocks in 32 minutes.

It was arguably the best offensive game of his career, as he was able to connect on 10 of his 11 shots from the field. Marvin Williams' (head) absence opened up some extra minutes tonight, but Zeller definitely made the most of his opportunity. If you're in need of a big, it's not a bad idea to take a flier on Zeller.
Feb 1 - 12:06 AM

Cody Zeller played 37 minutes against the Spurs on Wednesday with nine points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, one 3-pointer and one block.

He set career highs in assists and treys tonight. Zeller's involvement in the offense seems to be trending up with Kemba Walker (knee) out for six weeks and Marvin Williams (head) out for some time, as well. Zeller is worth a look in standard leagues.
Jan 29 - 1:37 AM

Cody Zeller played 32 minutes against the Knicks on Saturday with eight points, eight rebounds, one assist, two steals and three blocks.

With Bismack Biyombo (knee) and Marvin Williams (head) hurt, Zeller is going to get more minutes. He isn't much of a stat-filler because he's not really involved in the offense while he's with the first unit. Unless he was already on the short list of players you were considering, his outlook shouldn't change too much with the injuries.
Jan 24 - 9:56 PM

Cody Zeller hit just 1-of-8 shots for six points, but added 12 rebounds, six assists and two blocks in 32 minutes on Wednesday.

That's a really nice line if he makes a few of those shots and the minutes were there. He's yet to go on much of a run this season, but tonight's game could be a sign that it's about to happen.
Jan 21 - 10:03 PM

Cody Zeller played 18 minutes against the Wolves on Monday with two points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals.

He did pick up a few more minutes because of the Al Jefferson injury, but didn't really do much with them. Zeller doesn't block shots and his rebounding rate is below average for a big man, so he's not someone fantasy owners should be excited about.
Jan 19 - 4:59 PM

Cody Zeller scored six points with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 26 minutes against the Pacers on Saturday.

He’s made some nice strides this season, especially on offense. Zeller is making 38.2 percent of all of his jump shots this season, which is up from 27.8 last year. Still, he’s been a disappointment since the Al Jefferson injury, so there's no need to pick him up if he's still out there.
Jan 17 - 9:58 PM

Cody Zeller had eight points, 10 rebounds and four assists in 32 minutes on Wednesday.

Zeller scored just two points on Saturday and his was his best game in recent memory, so don't get too excited about him just yet. He's been out with a shoulder injury, so maybe he's healthy and will start producing again, but he's got a lot to prove before we'll be ready to buy in.
Jan 14 - 10:31 PM

Cody Zeller scored just two points from the line against the Knicks on Saturday with nothing else.

He missed Thursday against the Raptors due to a shoulder strain, but the poor performance today doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't healthy. Zeller was putting up late-round value with Al Jefferson (groin) out, so he's worth a look once he gets it going. Obviously, there won't be any demand after this one, so he can be left on the wire.
Jan 10 - 3:52 PM

Cody Zeller (shoulder) and P.J. Hairston (illness) will play on Saturday vs. the Knicks.

Zeller missed just one game after suffering the injury and his owners will be eager to get him back in their lineups after his recent play. Marvin Williams will shift back to the bench with this news while Jason Maxiell's value will take a hit as well.

Cody Zeller (shoulder) is questionable to play against the Knicks on Saturday.

He missed the first game of his career on Thursday and was ruled out just before the game started. The good news is that the Hornets have the first game of the day at 1:00 at Madison Square Garden, so fantasy owners should know in the morning what his status is. If he's out, Marvin Williams will get more run while Jason Maxiell and Noah Vonleh will an uptick. Gerald Henderson and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist would also indirectly benefit.
Jan 9 - 3:53 PM

Cody Zeller (shoulder) will not play against the Raptors on Thursday night.

He is coming off a couple strong games and must have suffered in the injury on Wednesday night. Zeller was logging around 30 minutes, so that playing time will go to Marvin Williams, Jason Maxiell and Bismack Biyombo. Zeller should hold enough value in standard leagues while Al Jefferson (groin) is out this month.
