Cody Zeller (knee) is expected to play in Friday's Game 6 against Miami.
Zeller tweaked his right knee during Game 5, but it doesn't sound like he's dealing with anything serious. He should play around 20 minutes off the bench, which isn't enough floor time for him to put up a meaningful stat line. Apr 28 - 3:26 PM

Cody Zeller (right knee) scored four points in 21 minutes during Wednesday's road win, adding three boards, one assist and one block.

Zeller headed into the Hornets' locker room during the second quarter with a knee injury, and he occasionally favored that leg during the second half. It's a pre-existing injury and we'll include him on the injury report as a precaution for Game 6 -- if he can't suit up there will be more minutes available for Frank Kaminsky, Al Jefferson and Spencer Hawes.

Cody Zeller (knee) headed into the locker room during the second quarter of Wednesday's game, but he has since returned.

We should have more details about Zeller's injury after the game, but it doesn't sound like it will be an issue going forward.
Apr 27 - 8:54 PM

Cody Zeller looked good off the bench against the Heat on Saturday with 12 points, eight rebounds and one block in 26 minutes.

The move to the bench worked out very well. Zeller did kind of pad his stats late with Hassan Whiteside not wanting to foul out, so this output is slightly inflated. He will likely have a tough time repeating this effort in Game 4.
Apr 23 - 8:46 PM

Cody Zeller is coming off the bench on Saturday.

It makes sense because Zeller has been torched in the first unit. He could even lose some minutes to Spencer Hawes. Fantasy owners should be steering clear of Zeller for this game.
Apr 23 - 4:06 PM

Cody Zeller got off to a strong start with a seven-point first quarter on Wednesday, but he finished with just eight points, five rebounds and four fouls in 14 minutes.

Steve Clifford didn't make any lineup changes after criticizing his team's defense during Game 1's blowout loss, and it remains to be seen how they can slow down Hassan Whiteside, who has a combined 38 points on 17-of-19 shooting through two games. Zeller was more physical in his limited minutes but it hardly mattered -- Whiteside finished with 17 points and 13 boards, and even Spencer Hawes wound up playing meaningful minutes at center down the stretch.
Apr 20 - 9:57 PM

Cody Zeller (chest) started Wednesday's game and had three points, three rebounds and one steal as the Hornets cruised past the visiting Magic.

Zeller missed one game on Monday with a bruised sternum but it didn't prevent him from suiting up tonight, as the Hornets continued to fight for the No. 5 seed. The 23 year old has been more consistent since Charlotte locked him in as a full-time center, and his average speed on the court (4.4 miles per hour) ranks him as the fastest center in the league this year. He'll be ready to go for Game 1 of the playoffs.
Apr 13 - 11:23 PM

Cody Zeller (chest) will play against the Magic on Wednesday.

A win would be helpful for the Hornets and they could move up in the standings with some help. Zeller will likely be looking at minutes in the mid 20s with Al Jefferson splitting the duties. If he is limited, Spencer Hawes would pick up some run.
Apr 13 - 6:26 PM

Cody Zeller (sternum contusion) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's matchup with the Magic.

Zeller missed Monday's game vs. the Celtics, which allowed Al Jefferson to return to the starting unit with Frank Kaminsky earning some extended run off the bench. It'll be more of the same on Wednesday night if Zeller can't give it a go, with Jefferson being the better potential DFS target.
Apr 13 - 11:26 AM

Cody Zeller (sternum contusion) is questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Magic.

Zeller sat out Monday's win over the Celtics, which resulted in Al Jefferson moving back into the starting lineup and posting a double-double through 27 minutes of work. If Zeller is out again on Wednesday, Jefferson and Frank Kaminsky will benefit most, with Jefferson offering the most upside.
Apr 12 - 2:46 PM

Cody Zeller (sternum contusion) is out against the Celtics on Monday.

This is a big blow for the Hornets in an important game for their playoff chances. Al Jefferson will get the start, but his minutes should be similar. Spencer Hawes will be the one picking up some extra run.
Apr 11 - 6:07 PM

Cody Zeller (bruised sternum) is questionable for Monday's game vs. Boston.

This is the first we're hearing of the injury for Zeller, who sounds like he'll be headed for a game-time decision in a matchup vs. his brother's (Tyler) team. If he's out, expect Al Jefferson and Spencer Hawes to see a bump in minutes.
Apr 11 - 10:57 AM

Cody Zeller scored nine points on 4-of-6 shooting Tuesday to go with six rebounds and two blocks in 19 minutes.

Zeller is far from an exciting player to own, but he's been a steady seventh-round guy in 9-cat leagues since the break due to low turnovers (1.0), efficient shooting (59.9 percent from the field and 79.7 percent from the stripe) and steady shot blocking numbers (1.1). He's a more attractive guy to own in roto formats as opposed to head-to-head settings.
Apr 5 - 11:28 PM

Cody Zeller scored eight points with nine rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and no turnovers against the 76ers on Friday.

It's too bad he can't play the 76ers every night. Zeller put up an 18-point, 11-board game against them on Tuesday. He gets one of the worst matchups for centers against the Cavs on Sunday, so his owners might want to drop their expectations.
Apr 1 - 9:37 PM

Cody Zeller hit 7-of-8 shots for 18 points, 11 boards and two blocks in 26 minutes on Tuesday.

He also made all four of his free throws and had one of his better games in recent memory. Marvin Williams has slowed his roll all season, but Zeller had it going tonight against a team with hardly any healthy big men. This was a good matchup for CZ, but the reality is he hadn't been doing much, so it makes sense if you chose not to trust him tonight.
