Cody Zeller made another start, played 28 minutes and hit 4-of-6 shots for eight points, 10 rebounds, a steal and a block in Tuesday's loss to the Pistons.
Zeller is now starting at center over Roy Hibbert and has only been back for four games from a shoulder injury. If you need a center, he's certainly worth a look. He's played well in three of his last four games, but had just three points and eight boards on Monday. If you throw that game out he's averaging 11.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and a block over those other three games since his return. Nov 29 - 9:30 PM

Cody Zeller scored 11 points with 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 25 minutes against the Knicks on Saturday.

Excluding his time off with injury, Zeller has looked really good this month. In his previous November games, he averaged 12.4 points, 4.9 boards, 1.4 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.4 steals on 63.8 percent from the field. He's still just hanging around late-round value on the year, but he's trending up despite some fluky struggles at the free throw line.
Nov 26 - 10:39 PM

Cody Zeller played well in his 23 minutes against the Knicks on Friday, scoring 15 points with six rebounds, two assists and one turnover.

After missing the last three games, Zeller didn't show rust on the offensive end with his 7-of-10 from the field. The Hornets won't be playing Roy Hibbert more than 20 minutes most nights and it looks like they won't play Frank Kaminsky at the five while Marvin Williams (knee) is out, so Zeller looks like he's worth owning in standard leagues.
Nov 25 - 11:50 PM

Cody Zeller (shoulder) will start against the Knicks on Friday.

He went through shootaround and appears to be a full go for tonight. Zeller has been out for the last three games due to his right shoulder, which was a problem for him last year. He was awesome in his last game with 23 points on Nov. 18, so he's worth a look in standard leagues. Roy Hibbert moves to the bench.
Nov 25 - 6:10 PM

Cody Zeller fully participated in shootaround Friday morning and is available to play Friday night vs. the Knicks.

The shoulder issue had cost Zeller two games. Roy Hibbert will get bumped back to the bench. Zeller's return will also likely cut into Frank Kaminsky's minutes. Zeller is averaging 11.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in 23.5 minutes this season.
Nov 25 - 11:34 AM

Cody Zeller (shoulder) will not play Wednesday vs. San Antonio.

Roy Hibbert should get another start tonight, with Frank Kaminsky (ankle) seeing some increased opportunity off the bench. The Hornets have a back-to-back set coming up Friday and Saturday with both those games being against the Knicks, so for now, we'll be considering Zeller questionable for Friday's game.
Nov 23 - 5:32 PM

Cody Zeller (shoulder) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.

Zeller has sat out the past two games, and wasn't able to participate during Tuesday's practice, so he's probable closer to doubtful for Wednesday night. If he's out, Roy Hibbert will have another opportunity to start, and there will be more minutes available for Frank Kaminsky (ankle). Stay tuned.
Nov 22 - 4:32 PM

Cody Zeller (shoulder) did not participate in practice on Tuesday and is "unlikely" to play Wednesday.

Zeller has missed each of the Hornets two previous games with his shoulder ailment. Per Hornets beat reporter Rick Bonnell, Zeller is unlikely to play Wednesday. Roy Hibbert has started each of the last two games for the Hornets in place of Zeller, but has been a non-factor. Hibbert has just six points and three rebounds combined over the last two games.
Nov 22 - 1:32 PM

Cody Zeller (shoulder) will not play vs. the Grizzlies on Monday.

This will be Zeller's second game in a row on the shelf. Coach Steve Clifford said the center remains day-to-day, so he should be considered questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Spurs. For what it's worth, Zeller missed six games last year due to his right shoulder, so it's understandable that the Hornets are being cautious. Roy Hibbert still isn't 100 percent, but he will draw another start after posting four points, two rebounds and one steal vs. the Pelicans on Saturday.
Nov 21 - 11:12 AM

Cody Zeller (shoulder) will not play against the Pelicans on Saturday and Roy Hibbert will start.

It's too bad for Zeller after his career game on Friday. He missed six games last year with his right shoulder injury, so he may have aggravated something from back then. The Hornets will give him a precautionary MRI, but do not sound concerned just yet. Hopefully, Zeller is only out for a couple days because this is just soreness. He's still worth owning after his solid Friday.
Nov 19 - 5:38 PM

Cody Zeller (right shoulder soreness) is questionable to play against the Pelicans on Saturday.

He had a right shoulder injury last season and missed six games in January. Zeller had an awesome game on Friday with a career-high 23 points and he may be earning minutes. He's worth a look in standard leagues and this injury is likely just a day-to-day thing. If he's out, we'll see more Spencer Hawes and Roy Hibbert.
Nov 19 - 3:51 PM

Cody Zeller tied his career-high with 23 points in Friday's win over the Hawks, shooting an efficient 9-of-10 from the field.

He also took one for the team, as Dwight Howard was ejected in the fourth quarter for elbowing Zeller in the face. He added three rebounds, one assist, two steals, three blocks and three turnovers in 31 minutes, and it looks like he is running away with the starting job with Roy Hibbert struggling in 17 minutes. Zeller had 14 points, nine rebounds and one block in his last outing and this was his second straight game with 31 minutes, so he's worth owning in standard leagues.
Nov 18 - 9:36 PM

Cody Zeller played 31 minutes vs. the Wolves on Tuesday, scoring 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting with nine rebounds, one assist and one block.

He was coming off a nightmare effort vs. the Cavs in which he was scoreless in 14 minutes, but he's scored in double digits in six out of his last seven games. He will be a low-end center to own in fantasy moving forward.
Nov 15 - 11:29 PM

Cody Zeller made 4-of-7 field goals and 4-of-8 free throws to finish Wednesday's home win with 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and one block.

Zeller has scored double-digit points in all but one game this season, and he's also blocked a shot in all but one game. He's been a decent low-end fantasy option despite playing just 21.5 minutes per game, a role he should maintain even when Roy Hibbert (knee) gets back on the court.
Nov 9 - 9:45 PM

Cody Zeller scored 10 points (3-of-7 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs) with six rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block in 21 minutes vs. the Nets on Friday.

He got into some early foul trouble but he made it up for it with a dominant second half. He was limited in the preseason by a knee issue, but he could have some sneaky value once the Hornets start ramping up his workload. Keep in mind that Roy Hibbert (knee) is still on the shelf.
