Rudy Gobert (knee) is probable for Friday's game against the Knicks.
Well hello there, Mr. Stifle Tower. Back on Jan. 13, Gobert was expected to be sidelined for 7-10 more days, so he'll beat that timetable by a day, assuming all goes well. This is obviously huge news for the Jazz and Gobert's patient fantasy owners. His return means guys like Derrick Favors, Jonas Jerebko, Joe Johnson and Ekpe Udoh will all be taking a noticeable hit. Rudy Gobert (knee) was re-evaluated on Saturday and it was determined that he'll need to spend another 7-10 days on the sidelines.

Gobert has recently begun going through light practices with non-contact work, so he is making progress. That said, until he's going through 5-on-5, full-contact work, we can assume he's not close. Derrick Favors will continue to hold down the five-spot in his absence, with Thabo Sefolosha and Jonas Jerebko moving in and out of the starting five based on the matchup.

Rudy Gobert (knee) has begun participating in non-contact portions of practice.

Gobert is still out for Friday's game and he doesn't have a firm return date, but this is encouraging news nonetheless. He was diagnosed with a sprained PCL in his left knee and a bone bruise in his left tibia, and was given an initial timetable of approximately one month on Dec. 16. It's reasonable to think he could return in mid- to late-January, therefore, and the next step is likely for him to start taking contact.

After an exam on Saturday, Rudy Gobert (knee) will be re-evaluated again in two more weeks.

The team announced he is "showing progress to make a return" from his knee sprain back on Dec. 15. Gobert was expected to miss about one month, so that still seems like it's a possible target. His fantasy owners should keep him stashed while Derrick Favors gets a boost to start 2018.

Rudy Gobert (knee) will be re-evaluated this week and his status is expected to be updated on Saturday.

This is right on schedule with the Jazz officially announcing Gobert will be updated on the 30th. However, Yahoo! Sports reports that Gobert is going to miss two more weeks from this PCL injury. Derrick Favors will have what should be a couple weeks of strong value, but nobody else is really stepping up.

The Jazz announced Rudy Gobert (knee) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

As reported earlier, an MRI revealed Gobert has a sprained PCL and a bone bruise. The Vertical report said Gobert is expected to miss about a month, but he's going to miss two weeks at the very least. While he's out, Derrick Favors (eye) should handle the center spot once he's back. If Favors is also out, Ekpe Udoh will be the center while the Jazz run with Jonas Jerebko and a lot of multi-wing lineups.

Rudy Gobert has been diagnosed with a sprained PCL in his left knee and a bone bruise in his tibia and is expected to be sidelined for one month, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo.

There was some hope late Friday night that Rudy was only dealing with a Grade 1 MCL sprain, but this report obviously indicates it's a far more serious injury. Derrick Favors (eye) put up terrific numbers when Gobert was sidelined in November. Although Favors received six stitches on Friday and is questionable for Saturday's game, he is undoubtedly the biggest beneficiary in terms of fantasy value over the next month. Ekpe Udoh and Jonas Jerebko will also see an uptick in minutes.

Rudy Gobert will undergo an MRI on his left knee on Saturday.

Gobert said that he thinks his knee ligaments are going to be OK, but he added that it's very sore. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is reporting that the early evaluations suggests he has a Grade 1 MCL sprain, so while he'll likely miss some time, hopefully this means he will be day-to-day. Derrick Favors hurt his eye tonight, but he'll benefit quite a bit if Gobert misses time. Ekpe Udoh and Jonas Jerebko would also have increased roles and we should see some smaller lineups as well.

Rudy Gobert (left knee) still needs to undergo an MRI on injured left knee, but early evaluation suggests he has a Grade 1 MCL sprain, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.

There can be a subtle difference on a Grade 1 or a Grade 2, but a Grade 1 would make him day-to-day. We're probably going to have to wait until Saturday to get a better idea how much time he's going to miss, but his fantasy owners should not expect him for Saturday. Derrick Favors also got hurt tonight, so the Jazz may have to extend minutes of Ekpe Udoh, Jonas Jerebko and the other wings.

Rudy Gobert (left knee) will not return to Friday's game against the Celtics.

The team is calling it a "left knee injury" and he is still in the locker room. Gobert tried to get up after Derrick Favors fell into him, but he needed some help off the floor as the training staff looked at him. Although, Gobert was eventually able to limp back to the locker room under his own power. While he's out, Derrick Favors gets a big boost as the center while Ekpe Udoh, Jonas Jerebko and Thabo Sefolosha should also help out. Joe Johnson could see some more stretch-four minutes, as well.

Rudy Gobert (knee) was helped to the locker room in the first quarter on Friday.

It did not look good as he was down for about a minute. Derrick Favors fell on Gobert's left knee and it looked to have hyperextend. After a brief structural check from the medical staff, Gobert was helped to the locker room with a heavy limp and he was in some pain as he went back there. Expect another update shortly, but he's probably out for the night.

Rudy Gobert scored six points on 3-of-7 shooting on Wednesday, but he added 11 rebounds, one assist and five blocked shots in 26 minutes.

The blocks are Rudy's highest since late October, and the boards are his highest since Nov. 10, so there's cause for optimism here. He was coming off a 20-point game on Saturday and it's a matter of time before he puts it all together, so the buy-low window won't be open much longer.

Rudy Gobert acknowledged that he still hasn't quite cleared the mental hurdle since coming back from the knee injury.

"It’s little details that I have to work out," Gobert said. "It’s moving quicker, it’s boxing out. Physically, I’m feeling better and better. It’s definitely more mental. I have to get better at my usual habits. But it’s coming back." Gobert hasn't had a bigtime rebounding or shot blocking performance since getting back from the knee injury, and he's looked a step slow on defense, although Saturday's 20-point, nine-board performance was a step in the right direction. Look for him to keep the positive trend going on Wednesday in Chicago.

Rudy Gobert finished with 20 points, nine rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot across 29 minutes in Saturday's 117-100 loss in Milwaukee.

Gobert certainly did his part, but not many other Jazz players showed up with him. He was a very efficient 6-of-8 from the field, although he struggled at the charity stripe with an 8-of-14 performance. The good news is this was his biggest offensive performance since returning from a bone bruise in his right knee, totaling just 15 points in his three previous outings. Hopefully this is the start of a hot run for the Stifle Tower.

Rudy Gobert hit 2-of-5 shots and 2-of-2 free throws for six points, nine rebounds, a steal, two blocks and five turnovers in Thursday's ugly loss to the Rockets.

Gobert and Derrick Favors are not gelling together, but Gobert has now been back from his knee injury for three games and should be about ready to get it going. But so far it's been a rough ride, as Gobert is averaging just 5.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.7 blocks in his three games since the injury.
