Rudy Gobert piled up 13 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals in 33 minutes of action vs. OKC on Wednesday.
Gobert began the game 2-of-6 from the FT line but he made them when it mattered most, finishing 7-of-12 at the stripe. His job got easier with Steven Adams playing only 22 minutes due to foul trouble, before fouling out in the fourth quarter, and the battle at center remains a key to the series. Gobert shot just 54.4% on the road this season, compared to 68.8% during home games, so we're expecting some big performances in Games 3 and 4. Apr 18 - 10:55 PM

Rudy Gobert played 35 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Thunder, finishing with 14 points (6-of-8 FGs, 2-of-6 FTs), seven rebounds, two blocks and one assist.

Gobert averaged a modest 10.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.5 blocks in two regular-season games vs. OKC this season, and he was similarly muted tonight. Steven Adams' physicality makes him one of the tougher matchups for Gobert, who also battled with foul trouble in the second half. Expect the Defensive Player of the Year frontrunner to have a better overall performance when Utah tries to even the series at 1-1 on Wednesday.
Apr 15 - 9:26 PM

Rudy Gobert scored 15 points with 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks in 28 minutes during a 117-95 win over the Clippers on Thursday.

He has to have Defensive Player of the Year locked up as the Jazz win their fourth straight. Sure, he's not going to hit 60 games due to two knee injuries, but the Jazz are just so good with him on the court and it's not like Kawhi Leonard or Draymond Green are threatening him. Utah also has a comfortable lead to make the postseason and they're just two games behind the Blazers for the No. 3 seed, which is even more interesting because they play each other in the finale. Gobert is not likely going to rest this season.
Apr 6 - 12:39 AM

Rudy Gobert scored 12 points with 16 rebounds, five assists, two steals and three blocks in 36 minutes against the Lakers on Tuesday.

That's just the second time this season he has been over three assists. Gobert's blocks are back in a big way with seven in his last two games and he's also picked up double-digit boards in each of his last five games. He's more than made up his injury-plagued start.
Apr 4 - 1:41 AM

Rudy Gobert scored 10 points with 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 40 minutes against the Celtics on Wednesday.

He is logging some huge minutes right now with another 40-minute game on Friday, and a whopping 36.0 minutes per game in his previous outings this month -- they've got to garbage time in several of those games, too. In his previous games this month, he's averaged 17.7 points, 13.0 boards, 1.2 dimes, 1.0 steals and 2.5 blocks. Tough loss aside, Gobert's fantasy owners couldn't be happier.
Mar 29 - 12:11 AM

Rudy Gobert posted 17 points, 15 rebounds, four blocks and three assists on Sunday, hitting 7-of-11 FGs and 3-of-4 FTs in 31 minutes of action.

The Warriors started JaVale McGee at center tonight but they had no real answer for Gobert's interior presence -- five of Rudy's boards came on the offensive glass. Owners who survived Gobert's injuries early this season (27 DNPs through Jan. 17) have been rewarded with elite matchup-winning production since the All-Star break.
Mar 25 - 11:27 PM

Rudy Gobert scored 13 points with eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and no blocks in 40 minutes against the Spurs on Friday.

The Spurs went right at him all night, and you'd probably need all your fingers and toes to count the times Gobert just missed a blocked shot. LaMarcus Aldridge gave him the business with a career-high 45 points, so this one will not go on the Rudy Defensive Player of the Year highlight reel. He's been too good for his owners to complain here and he'll get a fourth game of the week on Sunday against the Warriors.
Mar 23 - 11:28 PM

Rudy Gobert scored 11 points with seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, five blocks and no turnovers in 36 minutes against the Mavs on Thursday.

He snapped his five-game streak with a double-double, but his owners will give him a pass with a combined seven defensive stats. Gobert was also 5-of-5 from the line to get him to 69.8 percent on the season. He's probably going to be on a lot of title teams and he's looking like a lock to go in the first round of nine-cat leagues next year.
Mar 22 - 11:23 PM

Rudy Gobert went off yet again during a 103-97 win over the Kings on Saturday, scoring 22 points with 13 rebounds, four blocks and one turnover in 39 minutes.

He made 7-of-8 from the field and 8-of-10 from the line for this tidy 20-10. That's now three straight 20-10s for Gobert and he also has multiple blocks in five straight games. The Jazz are by far the best defensive team in the league over their last 23 games with their 21-2 record and their team net rating of +13.1 leads the NBA in that span. Gobert has been an absolute monster this month and no player with two eye brows has been better than him since Mar. 1 for total fantasy value.
Mar 18 - 12:34 AM

Rudy Gobert scored 21 points with 13 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 34 minutes against the Suns during a 116-88 win over the Suns on Thursday.

The Jazz look almost unbeatable now and it all starts with Rudy Gobert coming back. They've went an incredible 20-2 in their last 22 games, and not surprisingly Gobert has been a monster. In that span, Gobert averaged 15.6 points, 11.6 boards, 1.6 assists, 2.2 blocks, 0.9 steals and 1.6 turnovers on 62.4 percent from the field and 71.1 percent from the line with a +18.0 net rating. Gobert has been a top-15 player for total value in standard leagues in that stretch, and it's time we start considering him for Defensive Player of the Year despite missing time.
Mar 16 - 1:36 AM

Rudy Gobert posted a 22-point, 12-board double-double during Tuesday's blowout win over the Pistons, adding one assist, two blocks and three turnovers in 31 minutes.

Gobert dominated down low, creating numerous second-chance opportunities for the Jazz while gobbling up the O-boards. It was an up-and-down season for Gobert with the knee injuries, but finally looks healthy and has come into the month of March with averages of 18.2 points, 14.2 boards, 1.3 steals, 2.3 swats and just 1.7 turnovers per contest on 63.9% shooting from the field and 77.5% from the stripe, which has him flirting with top-5 value in 9-cat leagues.
Mar 13 - 11:39 PM

Rudy Gobert scored four points with 10 rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks in 34 minutes against the Grizzlies on Friday.

He picked up two quick fouls and couldn't really get it going after that. Before this dud, Gobert has been on a serious heater since the break, averaging 18.7 points, 12.0 boards, 1.1 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.3 blocks in his previous seven games. He should be a monster the rest of the way.
Mar 9 - 11:15 PM

Utah opened their road trip with a 104-84 win vs. the Pacers on Wednesday, led by Rudy Gobert's 23 points, 14 rebounds, one steal and one block.

Both teams came into this game with three-game win streaks, and Utah was able to extend their own despite playing in a hostile arena. Gobert has been magnificent in March with averages of 21.5 points, 14.8 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.5 steals, all while shooting 74.4% from the field. There have been bumps in the road this season, but he's carrying plenty of owners into the fantasy playoffs with this scorching production.
Mar 7 - 9:48 PM

Rudy Gobert hit 9-of-10 shots and 3-of-6 free throws for 21 points, 17 rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 37 minutes of Monday's 94-80 win over the Magic.

The Jazz have been one of the best defensive teams in the league since Gobert got healthy and they are rolling, currently sitting as the No. 10 seed in the West, just 1.5 games behind the Nuggets for the final playoff spot. The Jazz have won three straight and eight of their last 10, and Gobert's a big reason why. The Clippers, Nuggets, Thunder, Timberwolves, Spurs and Pelicans are all within striking distance for the Jazz (3.0 games behind the No. 4 Pelicans), but they'll have to keep winning consistently just to get in. It should be a wild race down the stretch, but we wouldn't bet against a healthy Jazz team right now.
Mar 5 - 11:50 PM

Rudy Gobert continued his hot stretch during a 98-91 win over the Kings on Saturday, scoring 16 points with 12 rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocks in 36 minutes.

He's been incredible in reality to help the Jazz get to within just 2.0 games of the No. 8 seed. That's especially been the case since the break, averaging 17.4 points, 10.6 boards, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.6 blocks on 73.8 percent from the field in those five games. That gives him top-10 value in nine-category leagues per game and his patient fantasy owners are being rewarded in a big way right now.
