Rudy Gobert was dominant against the Pelicans on Monday with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting, 19 rebounds, one assist, one steal and five blocks in 40 minutes.
Gobert publicly called out some of his teammates after Saturday's loss to the Clippers for not competing, but the Jazz held a team meeting after those comments and Gobert later apologized to his teammates. "For us to have players that have passion is a good thing," Jazz coach Quin Snyder said. "We’ve talked about the best way to communication to one another. In that moment, I think Rudy was emotional and enthusiastic after the game." The Jazz looked cohesive tonight and Gobert was "set straight" by his teammates, so this shouldn't be an issue going forward. Mar 28 - 1:25 AM

Rudy Gobert had very little help during a 108-95 loss to the Clippers on Saturday, scoring 26 points with 14 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 36 minutes.

The Jazz probably would've lost by 35 without the Stifle Tower today. While he is known for his defense, Gobert's offense has reached a new height with his 22.5 usage rate, 20.6 offensive rebounding percentage and a 69.3 true shooting percentage over his last five. Advanced stats aside, that translates to box-score averages of 22.0 points, 15.0 boards, 4.2 blocks and 0.6 steals. He's a fantasy monster right now.
Mar 25 - 6:28 PM

Rudy Gobert erupted for a career-high 35 points vs. the Knicks on Wednesday, making 13-of-14 FGs and 9-of-12 FTs with 13 rebounds, four blocks, one assist and one steal in 38 minutes.

New York started small with Kristaps Porzingis at center and they never found an answer for Gobert in the paint -- all 14 of his shots came within the restricted area. Rudy is the seventh player since 1987 to have scored 35+ points while shooting at least 90 percent, joining the company of Alonzo Mourning, Scottie Pippen, Cedric Ceballos, Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller and Dwight Howard. As a reminder, he's still just 24 years old.
Mar 23 - 1:59 AM

Rudy Gobert scored 16 points with 14 rebounds, three assists and a career-high eight blocked shots in Monday's 107-100 loss at Indiana.

Gobert now has 13 blocked shots over his past two outings and a total of 19 over the past four games, much higher than his already impressive average of 2.5 swats per outing. He is averaging 16.3 points, 15.3 rebounds and 5.0 blocked shots over the past three games to really endear himself to his fantasy owners down the stretch. The only thing rotisserie owners can carp about is his dismal 5-of-13 mark at the charity stripe over the past three outings.
Mar 20 - 9:47 PM

Rudy Gobert blocked five shots in a 95-86 loss to the Bulls on Saturday, adding 13 points, 13 rebounds and two assists in 35 minutes.

Since missing a game due to a bruised leg, Gobert has been hot with averages of 14.0 points, 12.8 boards and 3.0 blocks. The bad news is he's made just 46.2 percent from the line, though. Gobert not having Derrick Favors (knee) around has been helpful for his stats because he is 5.4 TS% better without him, has a better rebounding rate and a higher usage rate. Gobert should be a monster the rest of the way as the Jazz play for seeding.
Mar 18 - 11:53 PM

Rudy Gobert had his way against Tristan Thompson on Thursday, racking up 20 points, 19 rebounds, two steals and two blocks while hitting 10-of-13 shots in 37 minutes.

Thompson's usually a good defender but he simply couldn't handle or contain Gobert tonight. He's double-doubled in five of his last six games and has missed a total of just six shots over his last four games, hitting a ridiculous 27-of-33 (82%) over that stretch.
Mar 16 - 9:41 PM

Rudy Gobert played through a sore right leg on Monday and hit 5-of-6 shots for 11 points, 10 rebounds and a block in 37 minutes.

He may not be out of the injury woods just yet, but the heavy minutes were promising and he looked good in a tough win over the Clippers. If he's playing for the Jazz, he should be in your fantasy lineup every night.
Mar 14 - 4:11 AM

Rudy Gobert (right leg soreness) will play on Monday vs. the Clippers.

Gobert was listed as questionable after missing Saturday's game, but he went through the morning shootaround and will give it a go. The Jazz hold a 1.0 game lead over the Clippers in the West, so expect Gobert to see his normal workload if his leg holds up well. Season-long owners should obviously activate him. Jeff Withey will return to the bench.
Mar 13 - 7:25 PM

Rudy Gobert (right leg soreness) was able to go through the morning shootaround.

He was expected to have an MRI over the weekend, but we haven't heard any results yet -- no news is usually good news. Gobert is still listed as questionable and he's expected to be a game-time call -- he added that he feels good but wants to see if his leg flares up on him in warmups. Jeff Withey could be looking at another start if Gobert is unable to go.
Mar 13 - 12:58 PM

According to Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune, Rudy Gobert was expected to undergo an MRI over the weekend.

Gobert collided with James Harden on Wednesday and his leg flared up on him during warmups on Saturday. "We want to be smart about everything," Jazz coach Quin Snyder said, calling the decision to hold Gobert out on Saturday vs. the Thunder "precautionary." "Hopefully it's nothing more than that." There's no word of any MRI results, but Gobert is officially questionable for Monday's game vs. the Clippers. While he did say he expects to play, he has some extra incentive to suit up with the Jazz currently 1.0 game ahead of the Clippers in the standings.
Mar 13 - 10:08 AM

Rudy Gobert (right leg soreness) is officially questionable for Monday's game vs. the Clippers.

Gobert said on Saturday that he expects to play on Monday, but this is a reminder that his status is still uncertain. It helps that Utah has a mere one-game lead over the Clippers for the No. 4 seed and first-round homecourt advantage, giving the Jazz extra incentive to get Rudy in the lineup. Check for updates after shootaround.
Mar 12 - 10:49 PM

Rudy Gobert (right leg soreness) expects to play on Monday against the Clippers.

They really, really missed him in Saturday's loss to the Thunder. In fact, this is a great example of how Rudy is Defensive Player of the Year. Gobert only took a shot to his leg on Wednesday, so he'll have four full days between games, assuming he can go. For now, his owners in weekly leagues should plan on having him.
Mar 11 - 5:58 PM

Rudy Gobert was dealing with his right leg soreness during warmups on Saturday, according to the Jazz broadcast.

This is likely from contact with James Harden in the last game on Wednesday night. He took a shot to his lower leg, but there is no word of him being evaluated any further. Hopefully, he can suit up in a huge game agaisnt the Clippers on Monday to start a four-game week.
Mar 11 - 3:28 PM

Rudy Gobert (right knee soreness) will not play against the Thunder on Saturday afternoon and Jeff Withey will start.

Today isn't exactly a fun day for injuries. Because the team is calling it soreness, it's likely just a day-to-day thing for Gobert. This is Gobert's first game out of the lineup all season and he's been very durable with the exception of his knee injury last year. Withey should get some decent minutes today while Joel Bolomboy gets his best opportunity of his career as a backup.
Mar 11 - 2:27 PM

Rudy Gobert scored 16 points while gathering 24 rebounds on Sunday, and his tip-in at the buzzer sent Utah to a 110-109 overtime win against the Kings.

Gobert took advantage of a soft middle for Sacramento, routinely beating Kosta Koufos and Willie Cauley-Stein for boards on both ends. It was a welcome big stat line for Gobert after he averaged just 10.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in his first two games in the month of March. His 24 rebounds were his most since a 25-board effort Jan. 20 in Dallas.
