Rudy Gobert scored 15 points with 15 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and five turnovers in 36 minutes against the Mavs on Thursday.
He fouled out late in the fourth quarter and it may have been the difference in this loss. Gobert's two blocks today has also cost him the lead for blocks per game with Anthony Davis in the top spot right now. His February stats still look solid with averages of 14.6 points, 13.2 boards, 2.4 assists, 2.2 blocks and 0.8 steals. He should be an early-round guy all year. Feb 9 - 11:21 PM

Rudy Gobert continued his breakout season during a 104-88 win over the Bucks on Wednesday, scoring 26 points with 15 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 34 minutes.

Again, how did he not make the All-Star team? Gobert continues to hold his lead in true shooting percentage among qualifiers thanks to his 127 dunks and 30 alley-oops on the year. On the defensive side, Anthony Davis is closing the gap a bit on Gobert's blocks-per-game lead, but Gobert's 2.5 is still edging Davis's 2.4. Gobert is going to be a fantasy monster for a long time.
Feb 2 - 1:24 AM

Rudy Gobert scored nine points with 13 rebounds and a season-high six blocks in 38 minutes on Thursday against the Lakers.

Gobert finished one point shy of his 32nd double-double of the season. He is averaging career highs with 12.8 points, 12.6 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game, as well as a 66.1 field goal percentage and 64.5 free throw percentage. In addition, he continues to play stout defense, making a strong case for Defensive Player of the year.
Jan 27 - 2:46 AM

Rudy Gobert exploded for a career-high 27 points and 25 boards in a 112-107 overtime win in Dallas on Friday, adding one assist, one steal and two blocks in 41 minutes.

What? Only two blocks? Kidding aside, Gobert continues to be one of the best per-possession scorers in the NBA, making 8-of-11 from the field and 11-of-17 from the line today. He put up the NBA's first 25-25 line of the season with a whopping seven offensive boards coming in the fourth quarter and overtime tonight. He's leading the NBA in blocks and in percentage at the rim against to make a strong case for Defensive Player of the Year. If you didn't think he should be an All-Star, this line has to change your mind.
Jan 21 - 3:33 AM

Rudy Gobert took advantage of the center-less Suns on Monday and racked up 18 points, 17 rebounds and four blocks in 36 minutes of a 106-101 win.

Gobert hit 8-of-12 shots and also had a steal, and we were simply a year too early on predicting his breakout season. It's happening before our eyes, as he's averaging 12.3 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. Tyson Chandler was out and Alex Len played just 21 minutes, leaving Gobert to roam free without much opposition tonight.
Jan 17 - 12:04 AM

Rudy Gobert scored 19 points with a season-high 19 rebounds, two assists and two blocks on Saturday against the Magic.

This was his 27th consecutive game with double-digit rebounds and he now has five double-doubles in the month of January. Gobert continues to have a great season, averaging career highs with 12.1 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game, as well as a 65.8 field goal percentage.
Jan 15 - 12:24 AM

Rudy Gobert made just 1-of-3 FGs and 3-of-6 FTs for five points on Sunday, adding 13 rebounds with two assists, three steals, one block and four turnovers.

Utah was playing their fifth game in a seven-day stretch and they were facing the Grizzlies' defense -- the result was a mere 79 points for Utah on 38.9 percent shooting. Gobert has been rolling along after a slow start to the season, and his 23 straight games with double-digit rebounds is a franchise record for the Jazz.

Jan 8 - 11:04 PM

Rudy Gobert scored 12 points with 13 rebounds, one assist, one steal and four blocks in 31 minutes against the Wolves on Saturday.

This isn't even news anymore. Gobert leads the NBA in blocks, but he relinquished his lead for field goal percentage to DeAndre Jordan -- Gobert is still first in true shooting percentage. He deserves an All-Star spot and the Jazz should get hot now that they are finally healthy.
Jan 7 - 11:45 PM

Rudy Gobert scored 15 points on 3-of-10 from the field and 9-of-10 from the line in a 101-93 loss to the Raptors on Thursday, adding 16 rebounds and three blocks.

That bumps him up to 2.57 blocks per game, which passes Anthony Davis to be the top man in the NBA in that department. He's also cleaning up on the glass these days with at least 13 each of his last five. On the down side, Gobert has struggled with his shot. He's still the NBA's best roll man and is showing no signs of slowing down down.
Jan 5 - 10:41 PM

Rudy Gobert scored eight points with 13 rebounds and one block against the Celtics on Tuesday.

He finished 3-of-8 from the field and 2-of-2 from the line in 34 minutes, and he set a Jazz franchise record with 21 straight games with 10 or more rebounds. This was a quiet line by Gobert's standards this season, but he should back nicely in a great matchup with the Raptors on Thursday -- Toronto is one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA.
Jan 3 - 10:19 PM

Rudy Gobert scored 15 points with 16 rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks in Monday's win over the Nets.

He finished 5-of-10 from the field and 5-of-9 from the line with a pair of turnovers in 38 minutes. Per StatMuse, Gobert shot 77.8 percent from the field in December, the highest mark in the NBA in a single month since the 1983-84 season. If that's any indication, Gobert is poised for even bigger things in 2017.
Jan 2 - 10:50 PM

Rudy Gobert scored 18 points during a 91-86 win over the Suns on Saturday, adding 13 rebounds and three blocks in 37 minutes.

The NBA's leader in efficiency strengthened his lead, making 7-of-8 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line. Gobert has grabbed double-digit boards in every game since Thanksgiving and has tied Karl-Anthony Towns for fourth in the NBA for double-doubles. He's an All-Star in our book and his fantasy owners likely stole him in drafts.

Rudy Gobert hit 3-of-5 shots for nine points, with 13 rebounds, two blocks and two steals in Thursday’s blowout victory against Philadelphia.

Gobert snapped an 11-game streak with a double-double and finished one point short of his 23rd double-double of the season. He is averaging career highs with 12.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, a 69.7 field goal percentage and a 67.0 free throw percentage. Fantasy owners who invested in him this season are getting a great return on their investment.

Rudy Gobert had 12 points, 11 boards, a steal, two blocks and a season-high six turnovers in Tuesday's 102-100 win over the Lakers.

We were hoping for a little more against the defensively-challenged Lakers, but then again, it's hard to argue with a solid double-double. The TOs were definitely a buzzkill, but not a cause for a concern. His previous season high was four, recorded in his third game of the season, and he hadn't had more than three turnovers in any of his 12 previous December games.

Quin Snyder praised Rudy Gobert for his competitiveness on the basketball court.

"Rudy really wants to win. That’s really the most important thing to him," Snyder said. "When you get a guy that’s that committed and that ambitious and that dedicated, when you throw in the fact that they like winning, it’s a pretty unique combination and one that I’m grateful that I get a chance to coach him." Utah's head coach has a special connection to his center, a relationship he was able to articulate in this article. "We feel like we’ve had a partnership from an early stage. I threw him in the starting lineup in his second year, his first year with me, and I believed in him and I still really believe in him." It's amazing what an individual is capable of doing with a strong support system, clear appreciation and a sense of purpose to his work. Gobert is having a monster season, averaging 12.5 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.6 blocks on 69.8 percent shooting, including 67.8 percent from the charity stripe.
