Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 20 points against the Wizards during a 111-100 loss on Saturday, adding four rebounds, five assists, three steals and two turnovers.
He made all eight shots from the line and was 6-of-11 from the field in the loss. Antetokounmpo has started to get into a groove on the offensive end and his discovery of the one-dribble drive has gone a long way to help his shooting percentages. He's worth owning in standard leagues, but most of value will likely lie in March and April. Nov 23 - 1:28 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo will return to Milwaukee's starting lineup on Saturday, sending Jerryd Bayless to the bench.

Jason Kidd unexpectedly benched Antetokounmpo on Friday, playing him 15 minutes in a blowout defeat vs. the Raptors. Giannis may still be dealing with a minor ankle injury but he's worth deploying now that he's reclaimed his spot in the Bucks' starting lineup.
Nov 22 - 6:58 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo's status for Friday's game was all over the board, but he eventually decided to suit up and finished with seven points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 15 minutes.

The Bucks got the snot beat out of them by the Raptors and in the grand scheme of things it probably would have been better for him to sit. We've been telling you he's a must-own player and that really shouldn't change based on a minor ankle injury, so if you buy into that you probably want to stay the course.

Updating a previous item, Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) is available to play against the Raptors.

Just when you thought the Bucks weren't going to do their usual misinformation dance, they go ahead and do it. Coach Jason Kidd is making us miss Larry Drew, which is no small feat. Antetokounmpo might not play, but maybe he plays 47 minutes. Who knows?
Nov 21 - 7:42 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) will not play against the Raptors on Friday.

Well, it looks like he had some discomfort in his ankle. Antetokounmpo had an ugly ankle roll when he landed on Brandon Knight's foot on Wednesday, but he did play through it. He could miss more time and fantasy owners will want to put him on their benches. Jerryd Bayless will start, but the bigger winners in fantasy may be Jabari Parker and Khris Middleton.
Nov 21 - 6:39 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo "appears to be a go unless he reports some pain after warmups," according to C.F. Gardner of the Journal-Sentinel.

When it comes to Bucks players being a game-time decision, we'll take whatever info we can get. Larry Sanders was a game-time decision on Wednesday, but the team didn't announce he was starting until seconds before the actual tip. Antetokounmpo owners will want to check back and might want to bench him unless he's clearly the best option.
Nov 21 - 6:22 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) was a full participant during Friday's shootaround, and is headed for a game-time decision vs. the Raptors.

"At shootaround he looked all right," head coach Jason Kidd said of Giannis. "We'll see how he feels in a couple hours." Kidd isn't one to make his lineups readily available, so we likely won't know of Giannis' status until just before tip-off. That being said, things are looking positive for The Greek Freak, but if he were to sit O.J. Mayo would see some increased opportunity. Stay tuned.
Nov 21 - 12:58 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Raptors.

Giannis sprained his ankle during the second overtime of Wednesday's triple OT win over the Nets, but managed to play through it. If The Greek Freak is unable to go, Khris Middleton and O.J. Mayo would be the primary beneficiaries of his absence, with Mayo offering the most upside. Stay tuned for an official update on Giannis' status as we draw closer to Friday's tip.
Nov 20 - 5:24 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo made 7-of-11 from the field for 18 points against the Nets during a triple-overtime win on Wednesday, adding 12 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two turnovers in 48 minutes.

The Greek Freak did roll his ankle late in this game, but he did play through it and it didn't seem to bother him. He is shooting the ball much better this season and it has a lot to do with his much improved shot selection. Excluding some foul trouble on Tuesday, Antetokounmpo's minutes are way up and he looks to be locked in to the starting lineup. His upside is too high to be left on the wire right now.
Nov 20 - 1:11 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo picked up a few quick fouls defending Carmelo Anthony on Tuesday, which limited him to 13 points and six rebounds in just 18 minutes of action.

He was in the starting lineup again, which is a positive development, and it was very encouraging to see him make 7-of-7 free throws -- he's at just 67.7 percent on the season, which is consistent with his rookie year. He has enough upside to be owned in 12-team leagues, but has yet to put it all together in 2014-15.
Nov 18 - 10:48 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo will start again on Tuesday night against the Knicks, according to coach Jason Kidd.

It's unlike the Bucks to shed any light on their starting unit a day before the game, but we'll take it. Antetokounmpo played 32 minutes in the starting lineup on Sunday and he's been over 30 minutes in three of his last four games. He shouldn't be on any waiver wires despite how he'll have his struggles.
Nov 17 - 3:48 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo made his first start of the season vs. the Heat, finishing a road victory with 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and five turnovers in 32 minutes.

Antetokounmpo has been heating up and is now averaging 14.2 points on 50.9 percent shooting in Milwaukee's past five games, though tonight's turnovers tied his career-high. He's averaging a disappointing 0.6 steals and 0.6 blocks during that span, without any 3-pointers, but fantasy owners can't complain as long as he's logging around 30 minutes per game. If he's floating on your waiver wire, pick him up while you still can.
Nov 16 - 8:55 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo will enter the starting lineup on Sunday, sending Ersan Ilyasova to the bench.

Giannis has strung together some nice games recently, scoring 19, 14, and 18 points in his last three outings. He has a favorable matchup today as the Heat are among the bottom-tier of teams at defending the small forward position, so The Greek Freak could be in for a solid showing. Meanwhile, Ersan Ilyasova has been awful to put it nicely, and there's no certainty he'll be returning to the starting lineup anytime soon. Feel free to move on if you took a flier on Ersan, as there just isn't much upside here.
Nov 16 - 5:39 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting with seven rebounds and one steal in 31 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Antetokounmpo has been getting solid minutes and is averaging north of 25 mpg, but entered tonight with just borderline value in 14-team leagues. The lack of peripheral stats is glaring, as he entered tonight with just 1.2 combined threes, steals and blocks per game, and tonight's output will actually lower that average. He's looking more and more like a Post-Hype All Star next season with every passing game.
Nov 14 - 9:30 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 14 points in Tuesday's win and also added nine boards, one assist and two blocks in 26 minutes.

"I'm getting more confidence," Antetokounmpo said. "[It] starts from coach because coach trusts me to have the ball in the fourth quarter so that means a lot for me." You can see the confidence oozing out of him right now and it is encouraging that the Bucks continue to give him plenty of run despite his backup role. He is only going to get better as the season progresses and the sky is the limit as he is incredibly just 19 years old.
