Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 19 points with eight boards, five assists, one block, two steals and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Blazers.
This was his third game of the season with a full line. The Greek Freak was special tonight and got to the rim whenever he wanted, but unfortunately he hit just 4-of-9 from the free throw line. He was shooting 77.3 percent from the line prior to Tuesday, so his owners shouldn't be concerned. Antetokounmpo has attempted just eight 3-pointers over his last 10 games, so that's really the only thing holding him back from becoming an elite fantasy asset. Feb 3 - 1:27 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 17 points with five boards, one assist, two steals and two turnovers vs. the Kings on Monday.

He recently said that he is starting to feel a lot more confident and he was coming off a 28-point performance vs. Heat on Friday with three blocks and two steals, but he was pretty quiet tonight. Antetokounmpo has spoiled his owners by producing some monster lines this season, but he's still just 21 years old and he is going to hit some bumps in the road. Regardless, he has been a top-50 player this season and there's plenty of room for him to grow.
Feb 2 - 12:53 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo said he is starting to feel a lot more confident.

"My teammates and my coaches make me more confident every day," Antetokounmpo said. "When I have a game going, they're always looking for me. I felt I had a game going and I felt I could make plays." The Greek Freak was incredible on Friday vs. the Heat, scoring 28 points with four rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks in 46 minutes. He turned 21 in December.
Jan 30 - 11:34 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 28 points with four rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks in 46 minutes against the Heat during a 107-103 loss on Friday.

He's a monster and this game did not go to over time. Antetokounmpo is really adding the defense and he's seen his usage rate seen a little bump with his ability to attack the basket. He also had a beautiful reverse breakaway jam (in link below). Giannis has been hanging around fourth-round value on the year and has been fairly consistent too.
Jan 30 - 12:58 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo was ejected against the Grizzlies on Thursday.

It was just one technical and the refs tossed him. Antetokounmpo won't be suspended here and he'll be ready to go on Friday against the Heat. He finished with seven points, seven rebounds, three assists and two turnovers in 35 minutes.
Jan 28 - 10:07 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo had eight dunks on Tuesday, hitting 12-of-16 shots for 25 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block in 38 minutes.

The Alphabet is winning spelling bees right now, averaging 16.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.4 blocks on 57 percent shooting over his last five games. The breakout is upon us.
Jan 26 - 11:49 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo fouled out in 28 minutes against the Pelicans on Saturday with 10 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.

He was in foul trouble for almost the entire game and couldn't get it going despite having a favorable matchup. Antetokounmpo's been very consistent all year and has been hanging around the fourth-to-fifth round range in standard leagues.
Jan 23 - 9:20 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo took over against the Hawks during a 108-101 win on Friday, scoring 28 points with 16 boards, one steal, three blocks and one 3-pointer in 50 minutes.

His offensive game has been fantastic in his last three, averaging 25.3 points, 12.3 boards, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.7 blocks and 0.3 treys on 60.5 percent from the field. Of his 41 shots from the field in that span, only three of them have been outside of eight feet. Teams still can't keep him out of the paint even though they should know it's coming.
Jan 16 - 12:52 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo lit up the Wizards on Wednesday for 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting, 11 rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block, though he also committed six turnovers in 41 minutes.

He only took one 3-pointer tonight which isn't a bad thing, as he's making just 22.6 percent of his attempts beyond the arc this season. All of his other shots came within eight feet of the hoop, where he's most effective, and he even made 7-of-9 free throws tonight. He's a steady top-50 value in 8-cat and 9-cat leagues.
Jan 13 - 11:01 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo broke out of his slump with 29 points and 10 boards in Tuesday's impressive 106-101 win over the Bulls.

He shot 10-of-14 from the field and added five boards, one block and one steal in 31 minutes. The Greek Freak was held to single-digit points in his previous two games, so he desperately needed this game to boost his confidence. He will look to keep his momentum going vs. the Wizards on Wednesday.
Jan 13 - 12:12 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo had eight points, 10 rebounds and five assists in 36 minutes on Sunday, but he made only 3-of-9 FGs and 2-of-4 FTs, while going 0-of-4 from downtown.

He missed all of his attempts outside of 10 feet and continues to struggle shooting from distance. A mid-season renaissance is very unlikely, so fantasy owners may have to be content with Antetokounmpo's current top-60 valuation (9-cat).
Jan 10 - 10:18 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo made 2-of-8 from the field for five points with five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 33 minutes against the Mavs on Friday.

The Mavs had a plan to give him a tough time near the rim, which has become more popular these days by NBA teams. Antetokounmpo is making just 25.6 percent of his jumpers on the year, so that is the missing piece of the puzzle for his game. He's still a solid mid-round player this year and is elite in Dynasty.
Jan 9 - 12:58 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo hit 8-of-17 shots for 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists, four steals and a block in Tuesday's loss to the Bulls.

This is why you drafted him and while he'll have the occasional off night and is an inconsistent scorer, the potential is there for this kind of line nightly. This was a nice bounce-back game for Giannis after a quiet game against the defensive-minded Spurs on Monday.
Jan 5 - 10:56 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo said that he sometimes passes up open shots because he doesn't "feel like [he's] going to make it."

"I think [driving the ball] is my strength," he said. "Coach wants us to play to our strength, so that's what I try to do. I know sometimes I might be open but I don't feel it -- I don't feel like I'm going to make this jump shot, so I don't take it." He's shooting a career-best 50.4 percent from the field but is just 26.1 percent on 3-pointers, and a combined 41-of-130 from beyond eight feet (31.5 percent). Extending his range would help Antetokounmpo's fantasy value take a big leap forward.

Jan 5 - 1:15 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (mouth) scored 11 points with four boards, two assists, one block and one steal in 30 minutes vs. the Spurs on Monday.

He was considered questionable for this due to a chipped tooth, but he looked fine out there. Antetokounmpo would've played a little more, but the Bucks were blown out of this one. The Greek Freak should be a lot better vs. the Bulls on Tuesday.
