Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 31 points on 11-of-17 shooting in Monday's win over the Rockets.
The Rockets had no answer for Giannis on the defensive end and Trevor Ariza couldn't even slow him down. He hit 7-of-8 from the line and 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, adding seven boards, three assists and four blocks in 36 minutes. He fouled out of his previous matchup vs. the 76ers last week, so expect a big performance on Wednesday against Philly without Joel Embiid (knee) patrolling the paint. Jan 23 - 11:50 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 24 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on Saturday against the Heat.

The Greek Freak had a huge dunk over Hassan Whiteside, which should make the highlight reel tonight. He recorded his 19th double-double of the season and scored over 20 points for the first time against Miami this year. He has a good matchup against Houston on Monday, a team he scored 32 points with 11 rebounds and six assists in their last meeting.

Giannis Antetokounmpo fouled out in Friday's loss to the Magic, finishing with 17 points on 6-of-17 shooting.

This was the third time that he fouled out of a game this season. The Greak Freak had to work for everything tonight and missed a lot of tough looks. He did hit all four of his free throws and was able to grab 14 rebounds with five assists, one steal and a triple, but expect a better performance on Saturday vs. the Heat.
Jan 20 - 9:26 PM

Kyrie Irving, DeMar DeRozan, Jimmy Butler, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo were named as the starters for the Eastern Conference All-Star Team.

Giannis clearly has earned his spot and the frontcourt is tough to argue against. On the other hand, Kyle Lowry is a massive snub. He's leading all East players in real plus minus, he's first among all NBA guards with at least seven starts for true shooting percentage and his assist:turnover ratio is better than the 10 starters.
Jan 19 - 7:21 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 32 points in a 111-92 loss to the Rockets on Wednesday, adding 11 rebounds, six assists, one steal, three blocks and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

He was the only player in this game to get double-digit boards and some of that was due to him playing center. This was his eighth 30-point game on the season and 17th double-double. His scoring efficiency is truly elite over his last 14, posting a 64.4 true shooting percentage on a 29.9 usage rate. Now that he has his jumper working, Giannis is one of the most unstoppable scorers in the NBA at age 22.
Jan 18 - 11:30 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 23 points in Monday's loss to the 76ers, but fouled out in 29 minutes.

The Greek Freak hit 10-of-19 shots from the field and 3-of-5 from the line, adding six rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two steals. Giannis (28.34 PER) moved past Kawhi Leonard (28.13) for third place in player efficiency rating Monday, and he now only trails Anthony Davis (28.45) and Russell Westbrook (29.92). His owners will get to deploy him three more times this week against the Rockets, Magic and Heat.
Jan 16 - 6:39 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo piled up 33 points, eight rebounds, six assists, three blocks and two steals in 40 minutes on Sunday.

Antetokounmpo shot 13-of-22 from the field and 7-of-7 from the line, but it wasn't enough to beat the Hawks in Atlanta tonight. The Bucks' defense was their undoing, as they allowed the Hawks to score 111 points on 52.5 percent shooting (13-of-26 from downtown), and they'll need to tighten up during Monday's matinee vs. the Sixers.
Jan 15 - 7:48 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) looked much better in Friday's 116-108 win over the Heat, scoring 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting.

After failing to score in nine minutes on Tuesday vs. the Spurs, Antetokounmpo had a few days to recover for this one and didn't look limited at all. He logged 36 minutes and added eight rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block, finishing 3-of-4 from the line. The Bucks deployed him at center tonight when the Heat went small, but his owners already know by now that he's matchup proof.
Jan 13 - 11:09 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) is a "full go" on Friday vs. the Heat according to coach Jason Kidd.

An earlier report indicated that he was playing, but it doesn't hurt to get confirmation a second time especially when you play for the Bucks. Hopefully Giannis feels better tonight after a scoreless dud on Tuesday. Make sure he's active in all lineups.
Jan 13 - 7:12 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) will play on Friday vs. the Heat.

He returned to full practice on Thursday and appeared to be over his illness. The Greek Freak only managed to play nine scoreless minutes against the Spurs on Tuesday and clearly didn't look right physically, but his fantasy owners can feel much more confident about him on Friday. Michael Beasley loses the most value with this report despite a monster 28-point game vs. the Spurs.
Jan 12 - 1:19 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) failed to score in 9 minutes vs. the Spurs on Tuesday with two rebounds, two assists and a block.

He tried to give it a go, but coach Jason Kidd warned us before the game that he would pull him if he wasn't feeling up to it. The Greek Freak didn't look right and had a towel over his head on the bench, but he deserves a lot of credit for being out there with his teammates. He now gets a few days to rest before Friday's game vs. the Heat.
Jan 10 - 10:57 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) will play on Tuesday vs. the Spurs according to coach Jason Kidd.

He was considered a game-time call after missing Sunday's game, causing some owners to panic because he was downgraded from probable to questionable earlier in the day. While season-long owners can activate him in lineups, he's a little risky in DFS because of the illness. Kidd confirmed that Giannis is still under the weather, but added that he doesn't have any restrictions. However, Kidd wouldn't rule out pulling him out of the game if he doesn't look great. We'll let you know how he looks after the game.
Jan 10 - 7:12 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) missed shootaround and will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game in San Antonio, according to coach Jason Kidd.

Antetokounmpo missed his first game of the season on Sunday but was previously listed as probable heading into Tuesday. Unfortunately, we likely won't have official word from the Bucks until right before tip-off. Mirza Teletovic started in place of Giannis on Sunday but scored just five points in 30 minutes. Michael Beasley scored 18 points in 16 minutes off the bench.
Jan 10 - 12:41 PM

Coach Jason Kidd said after shootaround that Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) is questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Spurs.

Antetokounmpo was listed as probable coming into Tuesday, but Kidd sounds far less certain. Hopefully, Giannis will feel well enough to play because that would mean we'd get to watch a showdown between The Greek Freak and The Claw (aka Kawhi Leonard). If Antetokounmpo does not suit up, Mirza Teletovic and Michael Beasley would both see significantly more minutes on Tuesday.
Jan 10 - 12:24 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness), Michael Beasley (shin) and Rashad Vaughn (ankle) are all being listed as probable for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.

Antetokounmpo is just 22 years old, and after sitting out Sunday's game he'll have had a full two days to rest up for Tuesday's game, so he should be good to go in that one. His return to action will send Mirza Teletovic back to the bench, where he'll split reserve minutes with Beasley. Vaughn will be brought along slowly, and is not worth owning anywhere.
