Denver Nuggets waive G Erick Green.
Green has played just seven minutes this season, so this move doesn't come as a huge surprise as the Nuggets made the move in order to re-sign Kostas Papanikolaou. Green shouldn't be on fantasy rosters anyway, so fantasy owners can move on to the next blurb. Nov 5 - 11:14 AM

Nuggets G Erick Green made all three of his 3-point attempts on Sunday, finishing a loss to the Thunder with 16 points, three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 25 minutes.

Green got an extended audition with Jameer Nelson, Gary Harris and Randy Foye all getting the night off, and he's still not a lock to make the regular-season roster. That said, tonight's gem may have vaulted him ahead of fellow guard Nick Johnson (1-of-7 shooting in 23 minutes).

The Nuggets are expected to keep Erick Green for training camp.

His contract becomes partially guaranteed on Saturday. Green will compete with newly-added Nick Johnson for the No. 3 point guard spot. He won't be in the rotation while the Nuggets are healthy.
Jul 31 - 4:20 PM

Erick Green played on Sunday despite his recent arm injury, coming off the bench for two points on 1-of-4 shooting in nine minutes vs. the Kings.

He added one rebound tonight but didn't have any assists or steals. Denver's rookie avoided what looked like a serious injury, which is great news, but he remains a non-entity in standard fantasy leagues while Ty Lawson is healthy and starting.
Apr 12 - 7:37 PM

Erick Green suffered an arm injury on Friday night and went to the locker room.

It looked pretty bad and it's almost certainly muscle related. Green was in pain right away and went to the locker room just seconds after talking to the training staff. If he's out, Randy Foye and Gary Harris would get more minutes.
Apr 10 - 10:02 PM

Erick Green was pressed into action on Saturday vs. the Clippers due to injuries to Ty Lawson (forearm) and Jameer Nelson (hip), and he ended up scoring 11 points with three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

Green shot 4-of-7 from the field and didn't turn the ball over once, and he looked very poised running the Denver offense. It isn't clear if Lawson or Nelson will miss any additional time, but Green will certainly be worth a look in deeper leagues if they aren't cleared to play in Wednesday's game vs. the Lakers.
Apr 5 - 12:53 AM

Erick Green (hip pointer) played one minute against the Thunder on Monday.

With Jameer Nelson (Achilles) also questionable, Ty Lawson might be very busy tonight. Green played nine minutes on Friday as Lawson's backup and the Nuggets might have to shift Randy Foye over to the point to help. Green isn't worth owning almost anywhere, of course.
Feb 9 - 3:39 PM

The Nuggets have assigned Erick Green to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the D-League.

This moves comes as no shock as the Nuggets try to get more minutes for the 23-year-old. Green is averaging 3.3 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in 14 games with the Nuggets this season, so this move shouldn't send any tidal waves across the fantasy landscape.
Jan 20 - 1:36 PM

Erick Green's deal with the Denver Nuggets will be for three years, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Green played overseas last season and had a stellar Vegas Summer League for the Nuggets where he averaged 16.6 points, 3.0 boards, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 steals. Despite his Summer League success, it will be tough for Green to crack the back court rotation in Denver next season.

Erick Green will sign with the Nuggets.

He was outstanding in Vegas with an effective field goal percentage of 55.1, averaging 16.6 points, 3.0 boards, 2.6 dimes, 1.2 steals and 1.4 triples. Green and backcourt mate Gary Harris complemented each other very well in Vegas, but both will have a tough time getting significant minutes. Green is likely going to be up and down in the D-League this season, but he has a chance to be the No. 3 point guard on the depth chart.

Nuggets second-round draft pick Erick Green has signed a one-year contract with Italian team Siena.

Green was a dynamic scorer at Virginia Tech, leading the nation with 25.0 points per game while winning ACC Player of the Year honors. But he measured in at just 6'3/178 at the Combine, got slapped with a tweener label and slipped to No. 46 overall. The Nuggets, who have a full roster of contracts, will let Green develop overseas.

Virginia Tech G Erick Green was selected by Utah with the 46th pick in the draft, but he will end up with the Nuggets.

The Nuggets have to be happy getting Green with this pick, as the combo guard was a borderline first-rounder coming in. He led the nation in scoring for a bad college team, and our gut feeling is that he'll stick with the Nuggets.
