The Wolves are expected to sign guard Lorenzo Brown for the remainder of the season after his second 10-day contract expired earlier in the week.
A deal is expected to be done by Thursday which would give Minnesota a full roster of 15 players, but they also might wait until after the trade deadline in order to give them some added flexibility. However, as long as Ricky Rubio and Zach LaVine are healthy, Brown will simply serve as emergency depth on the end of the Minnesota's bench. Leave him on the wire. Feb 18 - 12:34 PM

The Timberwolves signed guard Lorenzo Brown to another 10-day contract on Friday.

Mo Williams (hip) and Zach LaVine (ankle) are still battling injuries, so Brown will continue to provide emergency depth off the bench for Minnesota. Even if Brown is signed beyond his second 10-day contract, he won't have a large enough role moving forward to make an impact in most leagues. Leave Brown on the wire.
Feb 6 - 9:00 AM

Lorenzo Brown played 48 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday with six rebounds, nine assists and three turnovers.

He's just the second player since 1986 to play 48 minutes in a regulation game and score one or less points (Dennis Rodman). Brown had his one chance to do something tonight, but he'll be back to a reserve role with Ricky Rubio (ankle) coming back on Monday.
Feb 1 - 12:29 AM

Lorenzo Brown played 23 minutes off the bench against the 76ers on Friday with two rebounds, three assists and two steals.

With Zach LaVine going down due to an ankle injury, Brown had a chance for a revenge game against his 2013-14 team. Although, LaVine did return and Mo Williams could be back for Saturday, so there's little reason to add him.
Jan 30 - 9:30 PM

Lorenzo Brown played 24 minutes against the Celtics on Wednesday with 10 points, one rebound, three assists and two 3-pointers.

Not bad. Brown is only on a 10-day deal and chances are he's going to be off the team once Ricky Rubio (ankle) is ready to go. That is likely to be within the current 10-day deal, so Brown doesn't have a very good outlook next month. He's worth a look in deep leagues for a couple games, though.
Jan 29 - 12:48 AM

Minnesota has signed guard Lorenzo Brown to a 10-day contract on Wednesday, and he is expected to be available to play against the Celtics.

The uncertainty surrounding Ricky Rubio's (ankle) return and the latest injury to Mo Williams (hip) may have forced their hand, so Brown may end up seeing some action right out of the gate. There's no need to consider an add outside of ridiculously deep leagues just yet, but we will let you know if he pops up on the fantasy radar.
Jan 28 - 12:43 PM

The Minnesota Timberwolves are close to signing Lorenzo Brown to a 10-day contract, according to Keith Langlois of Pistons.com.

The Timberwolves originally drafted Brown and are close to brining the 24-year-old back into the fold. Brown has yet to play above the D-League this season, so he can be left on waiver wires as he won't provide much fantasy value as a bench player.
Jan 27 - 11:27 AM

Detroit is reportedly strongly considering calling up Lorenzo Brown from their D-League affiliate.

Brown would be fighting for reserve minutes with Spencer Dinwiddie, so he'd be unlikely to get enough playing time to matter in most leagues. Until he actually signs a contract, Brown can remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Jan 25 - 3:05 PM

Lorenzo Brown will play for the Rand Rapids Drive of the D-League.

Brown, who was in training camp with the Pistons, will continue his career in the D-League for now. Fellow camp invite Josh Bostic is also joining him in Grand Rapids.

2013 second-round pick Lorenzo Brown to sign a one-year contract with the Pistons.

The deal is for Brown to join the Pistons training camp. He was released by the Italian club Reyer Venezia earlier this month, and will now try to work his way back into the NBA. With any luck, he will likely bounce around the D-League for most of the season, perhaps with a few call-ups to an NBA roster.

Reyer Venezia is planning to release Lorenzo Brown before the start of the season.

There are no further details available on why the team is planning to release Brown, but it would mark an extremely short stay in Italy for the 24-year-old. Brown was released by the 76ers in March and seemingly has a long road back to the NBA in front of him.

76ers waived G Lorenzo Brown.

Brown, who is battling a sore foot, loses his roster spot to Darius Johnson-Odom. Brown appeared in 26 games for Tankadelphia this season, averaging 2.5 points and 1.6 assists in 8.6 minutes a night.

Lorenzo Brown will not play against the Jazz on Saturday due to a sore right foot.

He tore ligaments in his right wrist last month and now he's dealing with yet another injury. Brown has no fantasy value and Eric Maynor has already leapfrogged him.

Lorenzo Brown has torn ligaments in his right wrist and is out indefinitely.

He won't need surgery, but said it "hurt like hell" when he played. This news explains why Eric Maynor is the new backup point guard. Neither player has fantasy value.
Mon, Feb 24, 2014 06:10:00 PM

The Sixers recalled Lorenzo Brown for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.

He was sent down to the Delaware 87ers last week and is unlikely to be in the rotation. Brown has no fantasy value.
