Lorenzo Brown scored 10 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 4-of-11 shots (no threes) with four rebounds, four assists and three steals in 30 minutes.
Brown isn't a safe pickup by any means but if you get the sense he's going to log 30 minutes in a game, there's a decent chance he'll be a late-round value on that night. Apr 11 - 4:02 AM

Date:

Lorenzo Brown moved back to the bench on Friday with no points, two boards and two turnovers against the Magic.

The Wolves do have four games on the road coming up for next week, so we'll likely see Brown get another start soon. Just keep him in mind for next week.
Apr 4 - 1:51 AM

Lorenzo Brown started and played 24 minutes on Wednesday, finishing with seven points, five assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer on 3-of-5 shooting.

With Kevin Martin due back sooner than later, Brown's run might have come to an end. Dropping him for a hot free agent makes sense.
Apr 2 - 12:59 AM

Lorenzo Brown scored seven points on 3-of-7 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, six assists, one steal and two blocks over 30 minutes on Monday against the Jazz.

Brown has stealthily posted top 80-90 value over the last two weeks by hitting 52 percent of his shots while averaging 4.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game. If you need help in the latter two categories, he's well worth a look as long as Ricky Rubio and Kevin Martin remain out.
Mar 31 - 2:07 AM

Lorenzo Brown started at PG again on Sunday, finishing a 22-point loss to New Orleans with eight points, three rebounds, eight assists and four turnovers.

The Wolves committed five turnovers on their first seven possessions and they can't get Ricky Rubio (ankle) back soon enough -- the good news is that he's questionable to return on Monday. Brown logged 36 minutes tonight and is a decent deep-league source of assists and steals, but the well could dry up whenever Rubio and Kevin Martin (hamstring) return.
Mar 29 - 6:24 PM

Lorenzo Brown scored six points with two rebounds, five assists, three steals and two turnovers in 37 minutes against the Rockets on Friday.

The minutes and dimes are there, but the scoring isn't just yet. Kevin Martin (hamstrings) appears to be out for a couple more games, so expect Brown to have plenty of minutes headed his way. He'll likely have more offensive responsibility on Sunday. He's only worth a look in 16-team leagues.
Mar 28 - 1:50 AM

Lorenzo Brown started at shooting guard on Wednesday and had eight points, nine rebounds and three steals in an overtime loss to the Lakers.

Lo-Bro played 35 minutes and as long as Kevin Martin is resting, Brown could continue to see 30-plus minutes a night. Deep leaguers should give him a look.
Mar 26 - 1:44 AM

Lorenzo Brown is starting in place of Kevin Martin on Wednesday against the Lakers.

Martin is "available to play" for the Wolves, which is pretty much meaningless. Brown probably won't play 45 minutes like he did on Monday, but he could play around 30 or so. Give him a look in deep leagues.
Mar 25 - 8:03 PM

Lorenzo Brown started for Kevin Martin (hamstring) on Monday and logged 45 minutes, scoring 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting with seven rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Brown will be a tough bet in standard leagues even if we know the same pack of Wolves are going to be out on Wednesday. Chances are one or more of them will return and make Brown a bystander, but in DFS leagues he might have some short-term value.
Mar 23 - 11:57 PM

Lorenzo Brown will start in place of Kevin Martin (hamstring) on Monday against the Jazz.

As they say on the internet, "Welp!" It sounds like Martin is going to be limited, so Brown might get 20-30 minutes tonight. He's worth a look in deep leagues. Meanwhile, Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine are going to get more chances at shots.
Mar 23 - 9:01 PM

The Wolves are expected to sign guard Lorenzo Brown for the remainder of the season after his second 10-day contract expired earlier in the week.

A deal is expected to be done by Thursday which would give Minnesota a full roster of 15 players, but they also might wait until after the trade deadline in order to give them some added flexibility. However, as long as Ricky Rubio and Zach LaVine are healthy, Brown will simply serve as emergency depth on the end of the Minnesota's bench. Leave him on the wire.
Feb 18 - 12:34 PM

The Timberwolves signed guard Lorenzo Brown to another 10-day contract on Friday.

Mo Williams (hip) and Zach LaVine (ankle) are still battling injuries, so Brown will continue to provide emergency depth off the bench for Minnesota. Even if Brown is signed beyond his second 10-day contract, he won't have a large enough role moving forward to make an impact in most leagues. Leave Brown on the wire.
Feb 6 - 9:00 AM

Lorenzo Brown played 48 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday with six rebounds, nine assists and three turnovers.

He's just the second player since 1986 to play 48 minutes in a regulation game and score one or less points (Dennis Rodman). Brown had his one chance to do something tonight, but he'll be back to a reserve role with Ricky Rubio (ankle) coming back on Monday.
Feb 1 - 12:29 AM

Lorenzo Brown played 23 minutes off the bench against the 76ers on Friday with two rebounds, three assists and two steals.

With Zach LaVine going down due to an ankle injury, Brown had a chance for a revenge game against his 2013-14 team. Although, LaVine did return and Mo Williams could be back for Saturday, so there's little reason to add him.
Jan 30 - 9:30 PM

Lorenzo Brown played 24 minutes against the Celtics on Wednesday with 10 points, one rebound, three assists and two 3-pointers.

Not bad. Brown is only on a 10-day deal and chances are he's going to be off the team once Ricky Rubio (ankle) is ready to go. That is likely to be within the current 10-day deal, so Brown doesn't have a very good outlook next month. He's worth a look in deep leagues for a couple games, though.
