The Hawks won their first home game of the season on Wednesday, aided by Dennis Schroder's 21 points, eight assists and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
The Hawks still have the East's worst record at 3-12, and they beat a moribund Kings team tonight, but they'll take what they can get. Schroder would have had a bigger line if it weren't for garbage time, and at least he'll be well rested for Saturday's game vs. Boston. Nov 15 - 10:23 PM

Date:

Dennis Schroder hit just 5-of-18 shots and missed all four of his 3-pointers for 11 points, two rebounds, five assists and two steals in 33 minutes of Monday's 106-105 loss to the Pelicans.

Schroder's shot is broken right now, as he's hit just 7-of-34 shots over his last two games and is 0-for-9 from downtown in his last three. He'll get back on track soon enough, but he got his fantasy owners off to a rough start in this one. He had scored at least 16 points in every game this season until Saturday's seven-point dud, and had his second lowest scoring total with tonight's 11.
Nov 13 - 10:45 PM

Dennis Schroder made 2-of-16 from the field for seven points during a 113-94 loss to the Wizards on Saturday, adding seven rebounds, five assists and four turnovers in 31 minutes.

He actually did damage against the Wizards in the playoffs last year with 24.7 points per game in those six games, but Schroder has typically struggled in back-to-back sets. That issue aside, he's going to be among the league leaders in usage rate and should have some big lines this year.
Nov 11 - 9:44 PM

Dennis Schroder scored 17 points during a 111-104 loss to the Pistons on Friday, adding four rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and three turnovers in 36 minutes.

The Hawks are going small a lot more and have run a lot of two-PG lineups. This won't really affect Schroder at all and the Hawks just need to keep games close for him to turn in solid stat lines, assuming he avoids inefficient shooting lines.
Nov 10 - 9:38 PM

Dennis Schroder, Kent Bazemore, Taurean Prince, Luke Babbitt and Dewayne Dedmon will start against the Pistons on Friday.

The Hawks are expected to have Malcolm Delaney and Marco Belinelli off the bench. Schroder has been probable in every game since he returned from an ankle sprain on Oct. 27.
Nov 10 - 6:44 PM

Dennis Schroder (ankle), Malcolm Delaney (ankle) and Marco Belinelli (Achilles) are all probable to play agains the Pistons on Friday.

The Hawks continue to list their guys as probable, but all three should be in the lineup and not have limitations. Schroder's usage rate is all the way up to 30.5 this season and the Hawks are playing at a faster pace overall, so he's getting a lot of opportunity.
Nov 9 - 5:41 PM

Dennis Schroder scored 23 points and hit 9-of-20 shots and 2-of-2 free throws in Monday's loss to Boston, adding six assists, two rebounds, two steals, three 3-pointers and two turnovers.

Schroder was listed as probable for the sixth straight game tonight which suggests he may still have some soreness in his ankle, but he'll have plenty of time to rest with the Hawks off until Friday. Schroder is having a career year in Atlanta as the engine of the offense and is ranked 5th in the NBA in touches per game.
Nov 6 - 11:05 PM

Dennis Schroder (ankle), Marco Belinelli (Achilles) and Malcolm Delaney (ankle) will play Monday vs. Boston.

Schroder has been listed as probable in five straight games and continues to get out there, and the same goes for Belinelli, so this isn't surprising at all. Delaney will be returning from a two-game absence, which isn't great news for Isaiah Taylor. Feel free to get these guys active.
Nov 6 - 6:00 PM

Dennis Schroder (ankle) is probable for Monday's game vs. the Celtics.

He's been probable for five straight games since missing two games in late October, but it wouldn't hurt to double check his status since tonight is the second game of a back-to-back set.
Nov 6 - 12:49 PM

Dennis Schroder helped the Hawks secure their second win of the season during Sunday's 117-115 upset win over the Cavs, scoring 28 points on 9-of-13 shooting.

Schroder added nine dimes, two triples, three boards and six turnovers in the win, and he did a fantastic job of getting his teammates involved early, setting the pace for Atlanta and making life difficult for Derrick Rose. He was also a perfect 8-of-8 from the charity stripe, giving him an incredible 84.7 true shooting percentage to accompany his 30.2 usage rate, and he's had no trouble adjusting to being the lead dog in Atlanta. Schroder is posting top-40 value on the year and shows no signs of slowing down.
Nov 5 - 6:03 PM

Dennis Schroder (ankle), Marco Belinelli (Achilles) and Mike Muscala (ankle) are probable to play Friday vs. the Rockets.

All three were also listed as probable for Wednesday's game, and all three played their typical allotment of minutes. The same can be expected for Friday night. Schroder scored 25 points and added six assists, three rebounds, two triples and four turnovers in 33 minutes on Wednesday. With Malcolm Delaney (ankle) doubtful, Isaiah Taylor will likely see extended playing time behind Schroder.
Nov 3 - 9:12 AM

Dennis Schroder scored 25 points on 10-of-17 shooting in Wednesday's 119-109 loss to the 76ers.

He was listed as probable prior to tip-off, but his status wasn't really in doubt. Needless to say, Schroder looked fine and added six assists, three boards, two triples and four turnovers in 33 minutes. He was the leader in touches per game (102.4) prior to Wednesday and just needs to stay healthy to have a big year.
Nov 1 - 11:03 PM

Dennis Schroder (ankle) is available to play Wednesday vs. the 76ers.

He was listed as probable heading into this one, so Schroder should be out there with his regular workload. He's been crushing it this season with third-round value in 9-cat leagues, and that trend should continue with a favorable matchup against Philly, get him active.
Nov 1 - 6:07 PM

Dennis Schroder (ankle), Marco Belinelli (Achilles) and Mike Muscala (ankle) are probable to play Wednesday vs. Philadelphia.

Schroder hasn't looked any worse for the wear since returning from his ankle injury two games ago, Belinelli hasn't actually missed any games with the Achilles issue and Muscala figures to earn another start with Ersan Ilyasova (knee) unavailable. Basically, owners can confidently plug these guys into their lineups for a favorable matchup against Philly on Wednesday.
Oct 31 - 4:55 PM

Dennis Schroder finished Sunday's loss to the Bucks with 21 points, eight assists, three steals and two rebounds, making 8-of-16 shots with a pair of 3-pointers.

Schroder's recent ankle injury didn't seem to bother him and he certainly hasn't been shy this season, ranking ninth in the NBA in usage at 31.8 percent. Turnovers have been a persistent issue for Schroder, but 9-cat owners will be pleased to note that he's averaging just 2.0 per game this season -- he didn't have any in 33 minutes on Friday. He'll get a significant boost if that tend is sustainable.
