Dennis Schroder chipped in 16 points, two 3-pointers, four rebounds and eight assists off the bench on Tuesday, making 6-of-14 shots in the Hawks' home win vs. Houston.
Schroder double-doubled in a fill-in start on Saturday and he's a viable option whenever Jeff Teague is rested or injured, but he's rarely worth deploying when coming off the Hawks' bench. Mar 3 - 10:58 PM

Dennis Schroder helped allow the Hawks rest three of their starters and still pull out a 93-91 win in Miami on Saturday, scoring 16 points with four rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

The Hawks have won all the games in which Jeff Teague misses, which is a huge credit to Schroder. Since summer league he has shown he's capable of being a starting point guard for several teams. In his previous starts, Schroder averaged 11.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 0.6 steals. He's a strong start when Teague sits, but the All-Star should be ready for action on Tuesday.
Feb 28 - 10:22 PM

Dennis Schroder, Kent Bazemore and Elton Brand will start against the Heat on Saturday.

Schroder is likely going to share some of his minutes with Shelvin Mack, but he's still a very nice play considering his per-minute output. Mack is also worth a look if you need points and treys.
Feb 28 - 6:18 PM

Dennis Schroder came off the bench to hit 7-of-15 shots and three 3-pointers for 17 points and four assists in Wednesday's comeback win over the Hawks.

He was named the player of the game by the Hawks broadcast crew, as he came through on a night when Jeff Teague couldn't get it going. There's little doubt that Schroder's a good player, but as long as he's stuck behind Teague, he's not going to be consistent enough to use in fantasy.
Feb 25 - 10:59 PM

Dennis Schroder played 26 minutes off the Hawks' bench on Sunday, scoring 12 points with one 3-pointer, two rebounds and nine assists.

Schroder shot 3-of-10 from the field with five turnovers, but went 5-of-5 at the FT line and the nine dimes just missed his previous season-high. The 21-year-old has quietly blossomed as the Hawks' primary backup PG this season, but his fantasy appeal is limited while Jeff Teague is healthy.
Feb 22 - 6:10 PM

Dennis Schroder has been named as Jimmy Butler's replacement for the Skills Challenge.

Schroder will get a chance to showcase his skills, but with averages of 8.5 points and 3.5 assists per game this season, he can't be viewed as an asset in standard leagues. However, he is a guy to target in daily formats when Jeff Teague is unavailable.
Feb 12 - 4:01 PM

Dennis Schroder played 28 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday with 15 points, five rebounds, six assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.

He played next to Jeff Teague for a nice chunk of minutes and that might continue. The Hawks are a little depleted in their second unit, so Schroder might be able to keep his minutes in the low 20s. That would make him worth a look in 16-team leagues.
Jan 31 - 11:55 PM

Dennis Schroder came off the bench for 13 points, two rebounds, two assists and a 3-pointer on 5-of-8 shooting in just 17 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Nets.

The Hawks are truly the most unselfish team in the league this season and it seems like one player steps up off the bench to make things happen every game. Tonight it was Schroder, but don't be surprised if he takes a back seat to Mike Scott, Thabo Sefolosha, Kent Bazemore or Pero Antic in the next one. Set your DVR for Feb. 6, when the Hawks host the Warriors at Phillips Arena.
Jan 29 - 2:04 AM

Dennis Schroder got hot off the bench on Friday against the Thunder, scoring 13 points on 4-of-11 shooting (1-of-5 from deep, 4-of-4 from the line) with four rebounds and five assists in just 18 minutes.

Schroder isn't going to have value outside of deeper leagues, but lines like this can be filed away for owners to remember. He's a point guard to watch over the next few seasons.
Jan 24 - 12:14 AM

Dennis Schroder (ankle) played 18 minutes off the bench on Monday, finishing a win vs. Detroit with four points, three rebounds, six assists and zero turnovers.

He didn't have any 3-pointers or steals and his minutes didn't budge despite the absence of backup G Shelvin Mack (calf). Schroder is only worth considering as a fantasy option when Jeff Teague is out of the lineup.
Jan 19 - 6:23 PM

Dennis Schroder (ankle) is expected to play on Monday against the Pistons.

Schroder sat out Saturday's game with a minor ankle injury, but he's clearly fine and his previous absence may have been designed more for rest than anything else.
Jan 19 - 10:29 AM

Head coach Mike Budenholzer said Dennis Schroder is dealing with a minor ankle injury which is why he did not play against the Bulls on Saturday.

Coach Budenholzer did say that Schroder would play on Monday against the Pistons, so the ankle issue appears to be very minor. Shelvin Mack suffered a calf strain on Saturday, so Jeff Teague would have to play all the minutes he could handle against the Pistons should Schroder miss any additional time.
Jan 18 - 10:47 AM

Dennis Schroder didn't play in Saturday's game against the Bulls due to an undisclosed injury, but he is expected to play on Monday.

It is thought to be a minor ankle injury, but we will update his status when we know more. Shelvin Mack strained his calf on Saturday, so Jeff Teague could end up playing all the minutes he can handle on Monday should Schroder and Mack see some time on the sidelines.
Jan 17 - 11:04 PM

Hawks PG Dennis Schroder started Tuesday's game with Jeff Teague resting, and he posted 13 points, two 3-pointers, six assists, one steal and four turnovers in 25 minutes.

In four previous starts this season, Schroder averaged a solid 11.3 points on 47.4 percent shooting, 3.3 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 0.5 steals in only 27 minutes per game. He'd be an intriguing pickup if Teague were to miss an extended period of time, but for now he belongs on the waiver wire.
Jan 13 - 9:30 PM

Dennis Schroder will enter the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the 76ers with Jeff Teague (rest) out.

Through four starts this season Schroder is averaging 11.3 points, 6.5 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game on 47.4 percent shooting. He has a dream matchup against the 76ers, and will serve as a quality plug-and-play option in daily leagues, plan accordingly.
