Dennis Schroder scored 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting with four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 28 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Schroder did not hit a three but he did make all six of his foul attempts, and it's still unclear what Mike Budenholzer was doing with Jeff Teague (three points, six assists, 0-for-4 FGs, 25 minutes) but let this be a reminder that Schroder is having a nice year. He'll need an injury to Teague to truly make a difference in fantasy leagues, but an increased role could help into some deep league discussion if he continues along like this. Nov 10 - 10:25 PM

Dennis Schroder has made a big impact for the Hawks off the bench over the last three games by posting averages of 10.0 points, 1.3 assists, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.3 steals in just over 14 minutes.

He has played fantastic, and is now the primary backup PG in place of Shelvin Mack. While owners in deep leagues should take notice, Schroder would need a Jeff Teague injury to be relevant in standard leagues. Keep an eye on him for now.
Nov 9 - 9:24 AM

Dennis Schroder played 20 minutes against the Knicks on Saturday with 11 points, one rebound, two assists and five steals.

He's leapfrogged Shelvin Mack for the backup job, but obviously Jeff Teague is rolling and will still get his minutes. Schroder is only worth a look in deep leagues and would need a Teague injury to get your attention as a potential add.
Nov 8 - 11:32 PM

Dennis Schoder provided a boost off the Hawks' bench with nine points in eight minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Spurs.

"I just tried to bring the energy." Schroder said. "We had a good second half, and if we do that for 48 minutes, we win that game." Schoder's best game of the season helped the Hawks keep the game close, but it's all relative as a season-high of eight minutes won't help fantasy owners.
Nov 6 - 11:58 AM

The Hawks have picked up their team option on Dennis Schroder.

Schroder is going to split minutes with Shelvin Mack, backing up starting point guard Jeff Teague, and that's not a recipe for fantasy success. Leave him on the waiver wire.
Oct 31 - 10:06 AM

Dennis Schroder started and played 28 minutes at point guard on Thursday with 11 points, four rebounds, six assists and one block.

He's going to split the backup duties with Shelvin Mack (four points and two assists in 20 minutes), so he'll need a lot of things to happen to have fantasy value. Schroder is still a couple years away from being a regular contributor.
Oct 17 - 12:05 AM

The Atlanta Hawks are still undecided on whether to exercise their extension on Dennis Schroder.

The Hawks have until 11:59 PM ET on October 31 to exercise Schroder's $1,763,400 option for the 2015-16 season. Head coach Mike Budenholzer will make the final decision as he serves as acting general manager with Danny Ferry on an indefinite leave of absence. While it's likely that he Hawks will pick up the option on a player they thought enough of to select 17th overall in the 2013 NBA draft, Schroder doesn't offer a ton of fantasy value unless Jeff Teague goes down with an injury.
Oct 14 - 12:45 PM

Dennis Schroder came off the bench for 14 points, three assists and a 3-pointer on 4-of-6 shooting in 20 minutes on Saturday.

He's a very good player, but will be stifled playing behind Jeff Teague in Atlanta. But if Teague ever goes down with an injury, Schroder will be a hot pick up off waiver wires.
Oct 11 - 11:02 PM

Dennis Schroder scored 20 points with seven assists in Germany's loss to Poland on Wednesday.

He had some tremendous games at Las Vegas Summer League and could be coming around. The Hawks knew they were getting a project in the 20-year-old guard, but he's still likely at least a season away from reliable fantasy value, especially with the Hawks bringing back Shelvin Mack.

Dennis Schroder ran the offense for the Hawks again on Saturday, finishing with 16 points, seven boards, four assists, two steals, four turnovers and five fouls.

After a horrible start, Schroder was very good at scoring and spreading the ball around. It was his second impressive summer showing in a row and now he now has a better chance for minutes now that Lou Williams is north of the border. He's still not on the radar in standard leagues.
Jul 19 - 8:26 PM

Dennis Schroder played well vs. the Blazers on Tuesday with 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, six turnovers and two fouls.

He is having no problem getting around defenders, but his fancy passing has been his undoing with too many turnovers. Schroder projects as a backup for the Hawks and could see minutes if Jeff Teague has to miss time.
Jul 15 - 6:01 PM

Dennis Schroder was on fire Sunday, scoring 30 points with four rebounds, four assists, six fouls, eight turnovers and three 3-pointers on 9-of-14 shooting.

We guess it was a good day for Germany today. Schroder didn't play well in the opener, scoring just eight points on 2-of-13 shooting, so the law of averages had a say in this one. He was phenomenal as one of the best players to watch in summer league last year and we'll see if he can parlay another big game to earn minutes next season.
Jul 13 - 9:21 PM

Dennis Schroder traveled back to Atlanta for workouts this month.

In other news, Chad Ford of ESPN.com believes the Kings have some interest in acquiring Schroder. The German had a career-high seven dimes vs. the Kings on Nov. 5 while also turning in an impressive 15-point, five-dime game against the Kings in 2013 summer league. He is expected to head to Las Vegas for summer league again in July.
Jun 11 - 3:01 PM

Hawks guard Dennis Schroder said that he needs to get stronger this summer, while working on his shot and ability to finish at the rim.

Schroder will play on the Hawks' summer league team but he sounded in need of some rest in the interim. When asked what the hardest part of his adjustment to the NBA was, he replied, "That you play every night. In Europe you play every week just one time." Schroder's shot chart underscores the need for improvement, as he made only 57.8 percent of his shots at the rim, and a combined 28.7 percent from everywhere else on the court.
May 16 - 9:29 AM

Dennis Schroder said on Monday that he was invited to play for the German national team.

Schroder played from 2010-2013 in Germany before being selected 17th overall in the 2013 draft. He only appeared in 49 games, averaging 3.7 points and 1.9 assists in 13.1 minutes. At only 20 years of age he is still clearly a developmental project and would probably benefit from playing for his native Germany.
