Dennis Schroder scored 20 points with seven assists in Germany's loss to Poland on Wednesday.
He had some tremendous games at Las Vegas Summer League and could be coming around. The Hawks knew they were getting a project in the 20-year-old guard, but he's still likely at least a season away from reliable fantasy value, especially with the Hawks bringing back Shelvin Mack. Aug 20 - 4:13 PM

Dennis Schroder ran the offense for the Hawks again on Saturday, finishing with 16 points, seven boards, four assists, two steals, four turnovers and five fouls.

After a horrible start, Schroder was very good at scoring and spreading the ball around. It was his second impressive summer showing in a row and now he now has a better chance for minutes now that Lou Williams is north of the border. He's still not on the radar in standard leagues.

Dennis Schroder played well vs. the Blazers on Tuesday with 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, six turnovers and two fouls.

He is having no problem getting around defenders, but his fancy passing has been his undoing with too many turnovers. Schroder projects as a backup for the Hawks and could see minutes if Jeff Teague has to miss time.
Jul 15 - 6:01 PM

Dennis Schroder was on fire Sunday, scoring 30 points with four rebounds, four assists, six fouls, eight turnovers and three 3-pointers on 9-of-14 shooting.

We guess it was a good day for Germany today. Schroder didn't play well in the opener, scoring just eight points on 2-of-13 shooting, so the law of averages had a say in this one. He was phenomenal as one of the best players to watch in summer league last year and we'll see if he can parlay another big game to earn minutes next season.
Jul 13 - 9:21 PM

Dennis Schroder traveled back to Atlanta for workouts this month.

In other news, Chad Ford of ESPN.com believes the Kings have some interest in acquiring Schroder. The German had a career-high seven dimes vs. the Kings on Nov. 5 while also turning in an impressive 15-point, five-dime game against the Kings in 2013 summer league. He is expected to head to Las Vegas for summer league again in July.

Hawks guard Dennis Schroder said that he needs to get stronger this summer, while working on his shot and ability to finish at the rim.

Schroder will play on the Hawks' summer league team but he sounded in need of some rest in the interim. When asked what the hardest part of his adjustment to the NBA was, he replied, "That you play every night. In Europe you play every week just one time." Schroder's shot chart underscores the need for improvement, as he made only 57.8 percent of his shots at the rim, and a combined 28.7 percent from everywhere else on the court.
May 16 - 9:29 AM

Dennis Schroder said on Monday that he was invited to play for the German national team.

Schroder played from 2010-2013 in Germany before being selected 17th overall in the 2013 draft. He only appeared in 49 games, averaging 3.7 points and 1.9 assists in 13.1 minutes. At only 20 years of age he is still clearly a developmental project and would probably benefit from playing for his native Germany.
May 5 - 4:56 PM

Dennis Schroder played 12 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday, scoring four points with four boards, three assists and one steal.

He suffered an ankle tweak on Tuesday and was not able to return. Schroder should be fine and has jumped Lou Williams for backup minutes while the team has Kyle Korver (back) active.
Mar 22 - 2:10 AM

Dennis Schroder (ankle) is expected to play in Friday's game against the Pelicans.

Schroder left Tuesday's game with a sprained ankle and did not return, but it turned out to be a mild tweak. He'll be ready for his usual 12-15 minutes. The Hawks will start their usual five of Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, Demarre Carroll, Paul Millsap and Pero Antic.
Mar 21 - 11:44 AM

Dennis Schroder left Tuesday's game with a sprained left ankle and will not return.

He finished with five points and three assists in 13 minutes, and Shelvin Mack will run the second-unit offense solo if Schroder is going to miss time.
Mar 18 - 9:37 PM

Dennis Schroder scored a career-high 10 points against the Thunder on Monday with one assist and two 3-pointers in 13 minutes.

He scored all 10 in the first half and really gave the Hawks a jolt in the first half before Kevin Durant took over in the second half. Schroder was a lot of fun to watch in Las Vegas Summer League for his creativity and quickness, but he's clearly behind Shelvin Mack on the depth chart.
Jan 27 - 11:41 PM

Dennis Schroder was sprung into action for 23 minutes against the Spurs on Friday, scoring four points with two boards, two assists, one steal and two turnovers.

This game wasn't close as the Spurs ran away with it, so Schroder played the last 18 minutes of this game. In other words, the 23 minutes tonight are a little misleading from Schroder. He's a lot of fun to watch and can add plenty of steals and triples to his assists, so owners in deep leagues can give him a look.
Jan 24 - 11:00 PM

Hawks rookie Dennis Schroder has been recalled from the D-League.

He'll swap places with Jared Cunningham, who has been re-assigned to the Bakersfield Jam. In six games in the D-League, Schroder averaged 17.0 points, 6.7 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 3.7 turnovers in 34.0 minutes.

The Hawks have sent Dennis Schroder to the D-League.

He is only playing 13.9 minutes per game on the season, and the return of Lou Williams has sent those minutes on a downward trend. Schroder hasn't played in the last three games and the move to the D-League will help him get some game reps. He's talented and should resurface on the Hawks at some point this season.

Dennis Schroder played 27 minutes and had six points and five assists in Wednesday's loss to the Rockets.

Schroder has been playing third-string point guard behind Shelvin Mack, and got some run tonight because Mack was out with a sprained ankle. Schroder has game, but isn't getting enough consistent minutes to be owned in most leagues. In fact, before tonight's mini explosion, Schroder played a total of just 10 minutes in his previous six games.
