Dennis Schroder's X-rays and MRI revealed a sprained toe, and the injury isn't believed to be serious.
Schroder himself Tweeted the update and this is terrific news for the Hawks, especially since they're likely to rest Jeff Teague and other starters down the stretch. When Schroder will return is still unclear but he'll be a nice pickup once he's active -- he finished March with solid averages of 13.9 points, 1.2 threes, 2.6 boards, 6.0 assists and 0.5 steals in just 24 minutes per game. Dennis Schroder (toe) will not travel for Tuesday's game in Detroit.

Ugh. We were very excited about Schroder's week with the Hawks likely to sit Jeff Teague on Tuesday, but now we might only get six minutes out of him. As it stands right now, we'd consider Shelvin Mack as the favorite to start on Tuesday against the Pistons. He's worth a look at any depth right now.
Mar 30 - 10:21 PM

Dennis Schroder (toe) will not return on Monday and he may have dislocated his toe.

This is a really tough blow to those who picked him up. Considering he's been ruled out and didn't come out to join his teammates on the bench, he might be out for Tuesday. What's more, the Hawks are very likely to sit Jeff Teague in a road game, so Shelvin Mack would likely start on Tuesday. If you're looking for a stream option, give Mack a look at any depth.
Mar 30 - 9:46 PM

Dennis Schroder (left toe) is questionable to return on Monday.

He was likely looking at a nice chunk of minutes tonight even with Jeff Teague back. Schroder would have almost been a lock to start tomorrow in a road game, so we might see Shelvin Mack start. We'll let you know if he returns.
Mar 30 - 8:24 PM

Dennis Schroder started on Saturday against the Hornets with 17 points, four rebounds, 11 assists and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes during a 115-100 loss

It took nine tries, but the Hawks finally lost a game with Schroder as the starter. He's been awesome with two double-doubles in both of his last two and he's headed for some extra fantasy value this week with Jeff Teague still receiving treatment on his ankle. Additionally, Schroder has put up big numbers in his last five, averaging 15.8 points, 3.2 boards, 6.8 dimes, 0.4 steals and 2.0 treys. He should be owned in all leagues.
Mar 28 - 9:26 PM

Dennis Schroder double-doubled against the Heat on Friday with 12 points, 11 assists, three boards, one steal and two turnovers in 33 minutes.

He didn't shoot the ball well in the win, making 3-of-10 from the field. It's unknown how much longer Jeff Teague (ankle) will be out, but tonight wasn't just rest for him because the Hawks were at home. Considering the Hawks have locked up the No. 1 seed, we should see Teague on the sidelines at least a few more games the rest of the way. Schroder is worth owning in all standard leagues.
Mar 28 - 12:05 AM

Dennis Schroder will slide into the starting lineup for Friday's game vs. Miami with Jeff Teague (ankle) unavailable.

We've seen this movie before, and basically every time Schroder starts, he's an excellent guy to target in daily leagues. Through seven starts this season Schroder has compiled averages of 14.0 points, 7.4 assists, and 0.9 steals per game. With a favorable matchup against Miami tonight, he's a great, low-budget play in daily leagues.
Mar 27 - 1:32 PM

Dennis Schroder hit just 4-of-13 shots and two 3-pointers for 11 points, three rebounds and three assists on Wednesday.

The good news is he was shooting the ball, but he only played 20 minutes, which is his lowest number since March 11. The Hawks got hot in the fourth quarter when he was on the bench, and Jeff Teague stayed in the game to finish it off. Schroder has scored 11 or fewer points in three of his last five games, but had 18 and 21 in the two prior to this dud.
Mar 25 - 10:53 PM

Dennis Schroder provided a rare bright spot for the Hawks on Sunday, coming off the bench for 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting, two 3-pointers, three boards, five assists, one steal and one block.

He turned the ball over twice in 24 minutes and has proven to be a steady contributor as the leader of Atlanta's second unit. Schroder is flirting with late-round value in just 25 minutes per game over the past few weeks, but he's best deployed as a spot-starter if and when Jeff Teague is rested -- with back-to-back sets coming up on Friday/Saturday and Monday/Tuesday, it's possible we'll see Schroder starting at PG in the near future.
Mar 22 - 5:34 PM

Dennis Schroder scored 21 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 7-of-14 shots (including three treys) with three rebounds and four assists in 32 minutes.

Yes, Kyle Korver (nose) was out but Schroder has been on the fantasy radar in 12-team leagues for a while, even if he hasn't really been able to produce enough for starting lineups. The Hawks will probably rest guys down the stretch, and Schroder is somebody to take a hard look at.
Mar 21 - 1:54 AM

Dennis Schroder scored a career-high 24 points with 10 assists while starting in place of Jeff Teague (rest) on Sunday.

Schroder made 7-of-16 FGs and 9-of-11 FTs, and he added three boards and one steal in a delectable matchup with the Lakers. He's averaging almost 24 minutes over his past 10 games and will have occasional outbursts with Teague likely to rest during the Hawks' remaining back-to-back sets. He does enough for late-round value, anchored by 3-pointers, assists and FT percentages, so don't be afraid to pick him up if your waiver wire lacks appealing alternatives.
Mar 16 - 12:16 AM

Dennis Schroder, Kyle Korver, Kent Bazemore, Pero Antic and Al Horford will start vs. the Lakers on Sunday.

Jeff Teague, DeMarre Carroll and Paul Millsap are resting tonight, so the rest of the Hawks should be pretty busy. Schroder has averages of 12.3 points and 7.0 assists in six previous starts this season, so he is worth a look tonight.
Mar 15 - 8:08 PM

Dennis Schroder (ankle) logged 23 minutes on Friday, scoring 11 points on 4-of-10 shooting (no threes) with four rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Schroder has been a top 75-115 value (8/9 cat) over the last six games in 26 minutes per game, and he could be the beneficiary of sporadic DNPs for the starters down the stretch. That's some math that makes him a must-own player in 8-cat formats and in 9-cat formats he's worth a hard look.
Mar 14 - 12:53 AM

Dennis Schroder (ankle) is probable to play against the Suns on Friday.

"They are a little banged up but my guess is they will play," Budenholzer said about Schroder and John Jenkins. Schroder has stepped up more than expected since Thabo Sefolosha went down and is worth a look in standard leagues because of the Hawks likely to rest players.
Mar 13 - 6:03 PM

Dennis Schroder (ankle sprain) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game against Phoenix.

If Schroder cannot go on Friday, Shelvin Mack will likely pick up most of his reserve minutes. However, with season averages of just 4.6 points and 2.5 assists per game on 38.8 percent shooting from the field, Mack cannot be viewed as a viable option in standard leagues.
