Dennis Schroder (ankle) is expected to play in Friday's game against the Pelicans.

Schroder left Tuesday's game with a sprained ankle and did not return, but it turned out to be a mild tweak. He'll be ready for his usual 12-15 minutes. The Hawks will start their usual five of Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, Demarre Carroll, Paul Millsap and Pero Antic.

Dennis Schroder left Tuesday's game with a sprained left ankle and will not return.

He finished with five points and three assists in 13 minutes, and Shelvin Mack will run the second-unit offense solo if Schroder is going to miss time.
Mar 18 - 9:37 PM

Dennis Schroder scored a career-high 10 points against the Thunder on Monday with one assist and two 3-pointers in 13 minutes.

He scored all 10 in the first half and really gave the Hawks a jolt in the first half before Kevin Durant took over in the second half. Schroder was a lot of fun to watch in Las Vegas Summer League for his creativity and quickness, but he's clearly behind Shelvin Mack on the depth chart.
Jan 27 - 11:41 PM

Dennis Schroder was sprung into action for 23 minutes against the Spurs on Friday, scoring four points with two boards, two assists, one steal and two turnovers.

This game wasn't close as the Spurs ran away with it, so Schroder played the last 18 minutes of this game. In other words, the 23 minutes tonight are a little misleading from Schroder. He's a lot of fun to watch and can add plenty of steals and triples to his assists, so owners in deep leagues can give him a look.

Hawks rookie Dennis Schroder has been recalled from the D-League.

He'll swap places with Jared Cunningham, who has been re-assigned to the Bakersfield Jam. In six games in the D-League, Schroder averaged 17.0 points, 6.7 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 3.7 turnovers in 34.0 minutes.

The Hawks have sent Dennis Schroder to the D-League.

He is only playing 13.9 minutes per game on the season, and the return of Lou Williams has sent those minutes on a downward trend. Schroder hasn't played in the last three games and the move to the D-League will help him get some game reps. He's talented and should resurface on the Hawks at some point this season.

Dennis Schroder played 27 minutes and had six points and five assists in Wednesday's loss to the Rockets.

Schroder has been playing third-string point guard behind Shelvin Mack, and got some run tonight because Mack was out with a sprained ankle. Schroder has game, but isn't getting enough consistent minutes to be owned in most leagues. In fact, before tonight's mini explosion, Schroder played a total of just 10 minutes in his previous six games.

Dennis Schroder returned from a one-game suspension for hitting DeMarcus Cousins in the crotch and missed all eight of his shots and failed to score on Saturday.

He played just 10 minutes and as long as Jeff Teague is healthy, the talented rookie will be a very risky start in all fantasy leagues.

Dennis Schröder has been suspended for one game due to his shot to DeMarcus Cousins during Tuesday's game against Sacramento.

While not fully fantasy-worthy as of yet, Schröder had been getting decent minutes and producing as the Hawks try to figure out their rotation. This will be a minor setback, but he should continue to work his way into a larger role once he returns to action Saturday.

Dennis Schröder had season highs with 10 points and 22 minutes on Sunday, while adding three rebounds and four assists against the Lakers.

The Hawks don't have their rotation set just yet and they've moved Kyle Korver over to small forward to allow Schröder to get a two-PG backcourt going tonight. The German rookie isn't quite worth owning in most leagues at this time, but the increase in minutes is worth monitoring.

Mike Budenholzer said that Dennis Schröder will share the court with Jeff Teague at times this season.

"I think there are opportunities where we will play Jeff and Dennis together a little bit," said Budenholzer. "We got to do it some [in the preseason], not to the degree I would have liked to, but I think it is something we will do." We're not expecting to see this undersized pairing very often, but it does add a promising wrinkle to Schröder's bench role.

Dennis Schroder had 21 points, four assists, two steals and a 3-pointer on 8-of-12 shooting on a night when Jeff Teague sat out to rest Wednesday.

He's got game and should make for a very nice back up to Teague for the Hawks, but as long as Teague is healthy, it's hard to imagine Schroder doing enough this year to make him relevant in fantasy leagues.

Dennis Schröder (bruised knee) said he expects to play Sunday against the Grizzlies.

The Hawks getting pretty thin at guard this preseason and only Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, Shelvin Mack and Jared Cunningham got minutes on Thursday night. Schröder figures to back up Teague this year, but won't have much value while Teague is healthy.
Fri, Oct 18, 2013 09:26:00 AM

Dennis Schröder is not playing on Thursday due to a sore knee.

The Hawks are running out of healthy bodies in the back court with Lou Williams rehabbing his torn ACL and John Jenkins out with lower back pain. The rookie is going to be fun to watch, so hopefully he is able to make it back on the court in time for the season to start. Schröder is only an option in deeper leagues for now.
