The No. 27 pick in the NBA draft, currently held by the Nuggets, is "available," sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The Nuggets like their young core, and they're hopeful they'll be able to move back in the draft if they do move the selection. They should get some offers tossed their way prior to draft night, but it's possible nothing materializes. Mon, Jun 24, 2013 11:19:00 AM

The Nuggets have hired Tim Connelly as GM, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Adrian Wojnarowski tweets Connelly will have the title of "Executive VP of Basketball Operations." Wojnarowski also writes that Connelly is considered one of the "league's rising stars" on the executive side and is coming from New Orleans, but it's not the "name" hire some Nuggets fans had wanted. He'll have a nice roster to work with, and we can be certain he'll be asked to play JaVale McGee more minutes.

Tony DiLeo, formerly of the Sixers, has had discussions with the Nuggets about their GM job, a source told CSNNW.

DiLeo is "steadfast on a return to management" after being let go by the Sixers, and Josh Kroenke has reportedly been pleased with "how talks have gone and he considers DiLeo to be a serious candidate." It's not immediately clear what Kroenke's plan is after losing Masai Ujiri and George Karl in the same offseason, but he's got a lot of work to do.

The Nuggets have received permission to interview Pacers assistant Brian Shaw and Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins.

Denver isn't the only attractive location for job-seeking head coaches, however, since the Clippers, Nets, 76ers and Grizzlies are still in the market. Nuggets president Josh Kroenke is also seeking a new GM after Masai Ujiri left for Toronto -- at the moment assistant VP Pete D'Alessandro is the Nuggets' in-house favorite, but the Kings have requested permission to interview him for their own GM vacancy.
