The 76ers have waived guard Phil Pressey on Friday.
With Tony Wroten (knee) expected to return on Saturday, this was an expected move for the franchise. Pressey will either head to the D-League or test his luck overseas. Fri, Dec 4, 2015 11:05:00 AM

Phil Pressey (illness) scored nine points with one 3-pointer, three rebounds, five assists and one steal in 19 minutes vs. the Pacers.

He also committed three of the Sixers' 31 turnovers, the most any team has committed since the Warriors in 2000-01. Pressey, Isaiah Canaan and T.J. McConnell all played 20 minutes or fewer tonight.

Phil Pressey (illness) is doubtful to play on Monday against the Mavs.

That means Isaiah Canaan should get more backup point-guard minutes. T.J. McConnell should be in most weekly lineups this week.

Phil Pressey (stomach virus) is questionable for Monday's game vs. Dallas.

Pressey is coming off of his best game of the season with eight points, three rebounds and six assists in just 15.5 minutes during Saturday's loss to San Antonio, so this is unfortunate timing. Pressey's playing time is an indictment on Isaiah Canaan, once laughably pointed to as Philadelphia's potential point guard of the future. If Pressey sits, Canaan will be the only choice to backup T.J. McConnell.

Phil Pressey came off the bench for 13 minutes and had 11 points, five assists and two 3-pointers on Monday.

Just keep an eye on him, as he'll need a lot more minutes than this to make a fantasy impact on most nights.

Phil Pressey made his 76ers debut on Wednesday with one assist and one rebound in three minutes.

He came in during the fourth quarter to give T.J. McConnell a quick breather -- this is also a big knock on Isaiah Canaan. Unless you're in a really deep league, you can keep Pressey on the wire. We'll obviously let you know if he starts making noise behind a red-hot McConnell.

The 76ers signed free agent PG Phil Pressey on Wednesday.

Philly was granted an additional roster spot due to all of their injuries, but Pressey isn't a factor in any fantasy leagues. He'll be fighting for minutes with Isaiah Canaan and T.J. McConnell.

The 76ers will add Phil Pressey with a roster exemption spot.

He will be the third point guard on the roster. The 76ers have a mess on their hands at point guard and T.J. McConnell could be starting as soon as tonight. Pressey would only be worth a look in deep leagues.

The Jazz have reportedly claimed G Phil Pressey off waivers.

If Utah decides to keep him on the opening-night roster, he'll be the third-string point guard for the Jazz behind Trey Burke and Raul Neto. There’s no fantasy value to be had here.

Blazers waive G Phil Pressey.

That means Tim Frazier has won the job, but obviously has no value. Pressey is likely going to be back in the league on a 10-day deal.

Phil Pressey and Tim Frazier are expected to compete for Portland's third point guard spot.

Only one is likely to make the team. While Pressey was signed this offseason, Frazier was with the club last year, and that could give him an initial advantage over the 5'11" Pressey. Neither will have sustainable fantasy value of any kind unless something happens to Damian Lillard. Even then, it would take some work.

Phil Pressey's contract with the Blazers is guaranteed for the one-year minimum.

He will likely be competing with Tim Frazier for minutes at point guard behind Damian Lillard, but his path to playing time could be even more complicated if the Blazers decide to let C.J. McCollum play some point as well. For now, Pressey isn't worth a look in almost any league.

Blazers sign G Phil Pressey and F Cliff Alexander.

It's still unknown how the Blazers are going to address their point guard situation. We're hoping they bring C.J. McCollum off the bench to get a chunk of point-guard minutes, but he'll get his time regardless. As for Pressey, he has been a disaster as a scorer so far in his career, making just 33.3 percent from the field in his two seasons with the Celtics.

The Celtics have reportedly waived G Phil Pressey.

Pressey likely knew his time was coming to an end in Boston after the Celtics drafted Terry Rozier with the No. 16 overall selection in the 2015 NBA draft. Pressey will now look to sign a minimum-level deal elsewhere, but he's not going to be a fantasy factor regardless of where he winds up.

Phil Pressey will not play at the Las Vegas Summer League.

Pressey practiced with the Celtics during the Utah Summer League, but he never got any action. The Celtics have until July 15th to exercise their team option on him for the 2015-16 season, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Even if Pressey is retained, he likely won't be in the rotation for the Celtics.
