Tony Snell's funk continued on Wednesday as he failed to score in 19 minutes as the Bulls' starting small forward.
He finished with one rebound, two assists and three turnovers. Snell is shooting 37.5 percent from the field this season but oddly he's on fire from downtown, making 1.6 triples at a 47.1 percent clip. Nothing about his current role suggests he'll be a reliable fantasy contributor. Nov 19 - 1:18 AM

Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell played 29 minutes in the starting lineup on Monday with six points, three boards, two assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers.

He was actually pretty bad in this amount of playing time. Snell had a bad turnover late in the game due to a charge and he had one of the worst shots you'll ever see with 19 seconds left on the shot clock. Snell shouldn't have much fantasy value. You can check out the bad shot in the link below.

Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell will start against the Pacers on Monday with Doug McDermott coming off the bench.

The Bulls will stick with Nikola Mirotic and Pau Gasol in their starting frontcourt. Snell will likely be guarding Paul George here to help take some pressure off Jimmy Butler. Snell isn't a fantasy option.

Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell scored three points on 1-of-7 from the field with one rebound, one block and one 3-pointer in 17 minutes on Friday.

If he can't perform off the bench, there is little reason to have him in the rotation at all. Snell losing minutes would likely help the other forwards on the roster, though, He can be dropped in almost all leagues.

Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell had a terrific game off the bench on Saturday with 14 points, six rebounds, one block and four 3-pointers.

The Wolves left him open a bunch and he came through. Snell was in a major funk before this game and he was in jeopardy of losing even more minutes. He's only worth a look in very deep leagues.

Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell played 11 minutes off the bench on Thursday with five points, five boards, one assist and one 3-pointer.

He's been bad on offense, so coach Fred Hoiberg moved him to the bench. If Snell continues to struggle on offense and he's not in the starting lineup to help out Jimmy Butler on D, there's little reason to give him minutes.

Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell will come off the bench on Thursday against the Thunder.

Coach Fred Hoiberg usually likes to put Snell on the top perimeter option, so perhaps the biggest news here is what it does to Jimmy Butler's defensive role. Snell isn't a great fantasy option tonight.

Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

The Bulls exercised their fourth-year option on Tony Snell.

He is starting at small forward to take some pressure off Jimmy Butler on defense. Snell has very little value.
Oct 30 - 4:39 PM
Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell started and played 29 minutes in Tuesday's opener, but had just 11 points, two 3-pointers and not much else.

He's an interesting player to consider in daily leagues considering his minutes and role, but he may not do much with them on most nights. There's no reason to draft him in a standard league.

Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell will open the season as Chicago's starting small forward.

With Jimmy Butler occupying the shooting guard spot and Mike Dunleavy (back surgery) sidelined, Snell steps into a nice opportunity on a talented Chicago team. Although he's battled inconsistency previously, Snell makes some sense as a last-round flier or waiver wire addition. In 22 games as a starter last season, Snell averaged 8.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 triples on 38.8 percent shooting.

Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell (ankle) started at small forward and scored 11 points with six boards, two assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes against the Pacers on Tuesday.

It looks like Snell could open up the season as the starting small forward with Mike Dunleavy (back) sidelined until at least December, so he could have some sneaky value in standard leagues early on. Head coach Fred Hoiberg should name his starting lineup soon. but it's not a bad idea to think about adding Snell in most leagues.

Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell (sprained left ankle) is not expected to play in Monday's preseason game against the Hornets.

Although the injury is not considered serious, it's now sidelined Snell for a full week. If he doesn't get back on the floor this week before the regular season begins, then we'll begin to get worried. Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said his starting small forward is something that he'll figure out "in the next nine to 10 days."

Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell (ankle) only participated in half of Sunday's practice.

Snell rolled his ankle last week and said that it isn't serious, so it sounds like he is just being cautious. it's unclear if he will play vs. the Hornets on Monday, so we will update his status when we know more. Snell is only on the radar in deeper leagues.
Oct 18 - 1:32 PM
Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell (ankle) is doubtful to play in Wednesday's preseason game vs. Detroit.

If Snell sits, Doug McDermott will get his chance to run with the starting unit, although he could head back to the bench once Snell is cleared to play. While Snell will likely be Chicago's starting small forward when the regular season begins, McDermott is a much more appealing target in standard fantasy leagues due to his ability to light it up from beyond the arc.
Oct 13 - 3:39 PM
Tony Snell - G/F - Bulls

Tony Snell (ankle) said his ankle injury is not serious.

He didn't roll it too bad in the fourth quarter and didn't have a big limp or anything either. Snell should be considered day-to-day and it sounds like he may have the inside track to start. Doug McDermott is still the better fantasy target, though.
