Solomon Hill had 15 points (5-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three 3-pointers, three rebounds, one assist and two steals in 36 minutes as the Pacers fell to the Raptors on Tuesday.
Hill continues to start despite some atrocious play over his past 15 games, posting an effective FG percentage of just 37.4 percent. He's been no better defensively -- the Pacers rank 10th in defensive efficiency, allowing 101.1 points per 100 possessions, but that number has spiked to 106.4 with Hill on the court in January. Tonight's game was a step in the right direction, but we'll need to see more before recommending him in standard leagues. Jan 27 - 9:48 PM

Solomon Hill attempted one shot on Saturday against the Hornets with four rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes.

He's struggling in a big way and has made just 26.7 percent from the field over his last five. Hill can be cut in just about all leagues.
Jan 17 - 9:39 PM

Solomon Hill scored 10 points on 3-of-7 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, three assists and one steal over 30 minutes in Friday's home loss to the Pistons.

Hill is much too inconsistent for 12-14 team standard leagues, especially with George Hill eventually returning to take away more touches.
Jan 16 - 11:20 PM

Solomon Hill scored 21 points with four rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers on 8-of-15 from the field against the Warriors on Wednesday.

With C.J. Miles playing more at shooting guard, Hill picked up some extra playing time. He was having himself a rough start to 2015 before tonight, making just 30.4 percent from the field. Hill is too inconsistent to grab in most formats.
Jan 8 - 2:00 AM

Solomon Hill started and hit 2-of-8 shots for two 3-pointers, 10 points, three rebounds, six assists and a steal in 33 minutes on Wednesday.

He's been hit or miss for a couple weeks now and with C.J. Miles healthy and starting to play better, Hill could struggle to hold onto his starting gig for much longer.

Solomon Hill struggled in a start against the Blazers on Saturday with eight points, seven rebounds, one assist and one turnover.

He made just 4-of-13 from the field and can't get it going. Hill was off to a horrible start in training camp and to start the season, but came on about a month ago. However, he's really fallen apart in his last five, making just 32.6 percent from the field for averages of 8.6 points, 3.8 boards, 3.2 assists and 0.2 steals. Leave him on the wire even with C.J. Miles (knee) banged up.

Solomon Hill is starting in place of C.J. Miles (knee) on Saturday against the Blazers.

Hill was bumped from the starting lineup on Friday and will be thrust back into it with the Miles injury. Hill is really struggling right now, which prompted coach Frank Vogel to make the switch. Hill is a risky player to start tonight.
Sat, Dec 13, 2014 05:31:00 PM

Solomon Hill moved into a bench role on Friday but was productive when C.J. Miles (knee) left the game, scoring 16 points on 5-of-8 shootijng (1-of-2 from deep, 5-of-6 from the line) with three rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 30 minutes.

Miles is hoping to play Saturday so Hill's minutes are in jeopardy, and even when he was getting a full workload he was barely worth owning. Outside of deep leagues, owners shouldn't chase here.
Sat, Dec 13, 2014 12:50:00 AM

Solomon Hill will come off the bench against the Clippers on Friday.

He looked like he was safe, but only played 17 minutes on Wednesday. Hill is stuck in a bad slump over his last five, making just 34.1 percent from the field for 7.2 points per game. If you still own him in a standard, it's time to start looking for other options.
Fri, Dec 12, 2014 06:12:00 PM

Solomon Hill played just 17 minutes and hit 1-of-7 shots for four points and three assists in another start for the Pacers on Wednesday.

He has scored five or fewer points in three of his last five games and the Pacers benched most of their starters tonight, including Hill. He'll get hot again at some point, but the sudden emergence of C.J. Miles (30 points, 7 3-pointers tonight), could spell disaster for Hill going forward.
Wed, Dec 10, 2014 10:36:00 PM

Solomon Hill slid over to shooting guard against the Blazers on Thursday with 15 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

He couldn't get out of his own way for training camp and the first two weeks of the season, but he's pulling away from the other wings right now. Hill has still been barely inside the top 150 in the last two weeks and the return of David West probably won't help, so he's not a slam-dunk own in standards.
Fri, Dec 5, 2014 12:28:00 AM

Solomon Hill's streak of five straight games in double-digits ended on Tuesday, as he shot just 1-of-5 from the field to finish with two points.

Hill logged 29 minutes in another start at SF but only chipped in four rebounds, one assist and one steal, which isn't getting it done for fantasy owners. C.J. Miles and C.J. Watson both played well off the bench tonight and the Pacers' wing rotation is becoming uncomfortably crowded, which bodes ill for Hill's outlook.
Tue, Dec 2, 2014 11:48:00 PM

Solomon Hill scored 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting (no threes) with six rebounds, three assists and one steal in Monday's win over the Mavs.

Hill has top-120 value in 8-cat leagues with a full slate of minutes (34.0 mpg) on the year and in 9-cat leagues he's a borderline play for 12-team formats. With players returning, albeit in extremely unstable fashion, owners shouldn't be attached to parting with the relatively low upside player. The only way he jumps up a level is if he has an outrageous in-season improvement.
Tue, Nov 25, 2014 01:07:00 AM

Solomon Hill played 35 minutes against the Suns on Saturday with 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and one 3-pointer.

With Rodney Stuckey (wrist) going down yet again, the Pacers are going to need more minutes out of Hill. He was already worth owning in standard leagues for his across-the-board output after a horrible start, but now the injury to Stuckey might solidify his value a little more.

Pacers head coach pointed to Solomon Hll's growing maturity as a source of strength for the Pacers.

Hill had a game-winning putback for the Pacers on Wednesday, but it's his maturity and leadership that is impressing his coach. "From the time we interviewed him before the draft, it was glaring that he was a very mature guy," Vogel said. "The way he carried himself was as impressive to us as anything he did on the basketball court, so to see him show a leadership role this early is not surprising to me." While Hill's fantasy value will take a hit when David West (ankle) returns, his recent play makes him worth owning in standard leagues.
