Solomon Hill scored 19 points with three 3-pointers, six rebounds, one assist and zero turnovers in 26 minutes on Sunday, helping Indiana cruise past the visiting Heat.
He hadn't scored this many points since early January and was coming off five straight games in single-digits. C.J. Watson (elbow) was out tonight and Rodney Stuckey (wrist) left early, giving Hill a few extra shots, and he's only worth a look if one or both of those players sit out vs. New York on Wednesday. Date:

Solomon Hill played a season-low 14 minutes on Sunday, finishing with two points, one rebound, six assists and four personal fouls.

Hill's reliable playing time and lack of DNPs haven't led to sustained fantasy value and he's only suitable for deep-league rosters, especially now that Rodney Stuckey (calf) has returned to health. The foul problem helps to explain tonight's limited action but there's no reason to rely on a swingman who has scored double-digit points just five times in March.
Mar 29 - 10:04 PM

Solomon Hill (illness) will play Sunday vs. the 76ers.

Hill has been struggling since the All-Star break, averaging just 7.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. He's not a great to own in most leagues.
Mar 1 - 4:01 PM

Solomon Hill (illness) is questionable to play against the 76ers on Sunday.

He played just 18 minutes on Friday and maybe his illness was why. However, Hill played 18 minutes on Sunday and he's seen his production fall off in his last five, averaging 8.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 treys. If he's out, C.J. Miles and Damjan Rudez will play more.
Feb 28 - 3:46 PM

Solomon Hill started Sunday's game but played only 18 minutes, scoring six points on 2-of-6 field goals and 2-of-2 free throws.

Hill added one rebound and one assist while committing three fouls, and quickly gave way to backup SG Rodney Stuckey. He's a starter in name only at this point, having exceeded 27 minutes just once in February, and is only worth pursuing as a 3-point specialist in deeper leagues.
Feb 22 - 8:49 PM

Solomon Hill hit 4-of-5 shots and two 3-pointers for 12 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal in 27 minutes on Wednesday.

Hill is always worth a look, but with averages of 9.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steals on 55 percent shooting over his last five games, he's clearly not in must-own territory.
Feb 12 - 12:32 AM

Solomon Hill was back on the bench vs. Charlotte, finishing the Pacers' 103-102 road win with nine points, four boards and three assists in 24 minutes.

He started ahead of Rodney Stuckey vs. the Cavaliers on Friday to help defend LeBron James, but that was a temporary, matchup-based move. Hill didn't have any 3-pointers, steals or blocks on Sunday and he's been in a vicious shooting slump for a month, so there's no need to consider plucking him off the waiver wire.
Feb 8 - 9:50 PM

Solomon Hill played 36 minutes against the Cavs during a start on Friday with 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal.

He's likely going to stick in the starting lineup for the Pacers to give them some extra length on defense because their offense isn't going to carry them most nights. Still, Hill is making just 38.2 percent from the field on the season and doesn't really do much else on the stat sheet. He's only worth owning in deep leagues.
Feb 6 - 11:25 PM

Solomon Hill will return to the Pacers' starting lineup on Friday, starting at SF opposite LeBron James.

Hill was benched on Wednesday but his defense earned him another start vs. LeBron and the Cavs, shifting C.J. Miles to shooting guard and sending Rodney Stuckey to the bench. Hill is averaging 6.0 points on 35.9 percent FGs and 66.7 percent FTs, and doesn't do enough in other categories to cover up those enormous faults.
Feb 6 - 6:32 PM

Solomon Hill will come off the bench against the Pistons on Wednesday.

He hasn't been great and the the Pacers will probably keep him in the second unit until C.J. Miles gets hurt again. Hill can be dropped in most formats.
Feb 4 - 6:16 PM

Solomon Hill had 15 points (5-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three 3-pointers, three rebounds, one assist and two steals in 36 minutes as the Pacers fell to the Raptors on Tuesday.

Hill continues to start despite some atrocious play over his past 15 games, posting an effective FG percentage of just 37.4 percent. He's been no better defensively -- the Pacers rank 10th in defensive efficiency, allowing 101.1 points per 100 possessions, but that number has spiked to 106.4 with Hill on the court in January. Tonight's game was a step in the right direction, but we'll need to see more before recommending him in standard leagues.
Jan 27 - 9:48 PM

Solomon Hill attempted one shot on Saturday against the Hornets with four rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes.

He's struggling in a big way and has made just 26.7 percent from the field over his last five. Hill can be cut in just about all leagues.
Jan 17 - 9:39 PM

Solomon Hill scored 10 points on 3-of-7 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, three assists and one steal over 30 minutes in Friday's home loss to the Pistons.

Hill is much too inconsistent for 12-14 team standard leagues, especially with George Hill eventually returning to take away more touches.
Jan 16 - 11:20 PM

Solomon Hill scored 21 points with four rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers on 8-of-15 from the field against the Warriors on Wednesday.

With C.J. Miles playing more at shooting guard, Hill picked up some extra playing time. He was having himself a rough start to 2015 before tonight, making just 30.4 percent from the field. Hill is too inconsistent to grab in most formats.
Jan 8 - 2:00 AM

Solomon Hill started and hit 2-of-8 shots for two 3-pointers, 10 points, three rebounds, six assists and a steal in 33 minutes on Wednesday.

He's been hit or miss for a couple weeks now and with C.J. Miles healthy and starting to play better, Hill could struggle to hold onto his starting gig for much longer.
