Quin Snyder said that Raul Neto felt a little sick during Saturday's game against the Pelicans, and he came in for treatment on Sunday.
Given that Neto played through the illness, this doesn't sound like anything major, and we'd expect him to suit up on Monday with a game against the undefeated Warriors. However, we will be adding him to the injury report until we have official confirmation of his playing status. Neto is averaging a meager 4.5 points, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game on 36.5 percent shooting this season, so there's no reason to own him in most leagues. Nov 29 - 3:14 PM

Raul Neto had one of his best games of the season against the Clippers on Wednesday with 10 points, one rebound, six assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes.

Trey Burke (back) suffered an injury tonight, so there were more minutes up for grabs. Neto has meshed pretty well with the other starters, but he's still going to lose point guard minutes to Alec Burks. Neto moves into the conversation for 20-team leagues while Burke is out.
Nov 26 - 2:27 AM

Raul Neto played just 13 minutes on Thursday with two points, one rebound, one steal and one block.

He might be out of the rotation soon. Neto is not as good at running the offense as Alec Burks is right now and he can't hit jumpers.
Nov 6 - 1:46 AM

Raul Neto played just 15 minutes against the Blazers on Wednesday, scoring six points with three rebounds, one steal and two 3-pointers.

He was cooked by Damian Lillard tonight and coach Quin Snyder went away from the rookie. Neto can be dropped basically everywhere.
Nov 5 - 1:59 AM

Raul Neto had a game to forget on Saturday, turning the ball over three times while going scoreless on 0-of-5 shooting with two rebounds and two assists.

Neto recently sustained a minor left knee injury, which may have contributed to his struggles, but nothing about his first three starts suggest reliable standard-league option. He's not even guaranteed to keep the starting job ahead of Trey Burke, who had 15 points in 21 minutes off the bench tonight.
Oct 31 - 9:46 PM

Raul Neto, Rodney Hood, Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert are starting against the Pacers on Saturday.

As much as Neto hasn't looked great, no player with more than 15 minutes on the Jazz has a higher net rating, so it's not like they're playing worse with him on the court. Still, fantasy owners can ignore him in most cases.
Oct 31 - 5:56 PM

The Jazz will have the same starting lineup on Friday with Raul Neto, Rodney Hood, Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert.

Down the stretch, the Jazz went with Alec Burks over Neto and it probably wasn't due to Neto's injury either. Neto didn't have a great opener and isn't a great option in fantasy leagues right now.
Oct 30 - 5:33 PM

Raul Neto (left knee) made it through shootaround and is expected to play against the 76ers on Friday.

He sat out of practice on Thursday, but it sounds like he is ready to roll in a favorable matchup with Philly. He scored just eight points with three assists and two 3-pointers in his NBA debut, but he is worth a look in very deep leagues as long as he can hold onto the starting gig. Trey Burke will continue to back him up off the bench.
Oct 30 - 10:51 AM

Rual Neto (left knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers.

Neto didn't practice on Thursday and looks to be a game-time decision for Friday's game. We'll keep an eye on the 23-year-old's status after Friday's shootaround, but Trey Burke is set up for big minutes if Neto can't play on Friday.
Oct 29 - 1:24 PM

Raul Neto injured his left knee on Wednesday, but was able to return and finish with eight points, two 3-pointers, three assists and one turnover in 26 minutes.

The 23-year-old has seven years of professional experience, so he's not your typical rookie, and coach Quin Snyder obviously has faith in his abilities -- he started at PG tonight. Trey Burke is slated for significant minutes at PG, and could overtake the starting job at some point, adding even more risk for Neto. Leave him on the waiver wire in standard leagues.
Oct 28 - 11:45 PM

Raul Neto will start on Wednesday against the Pistons.

Is he a better player than Trey Burke right now? No. However, coach Quin Snyder is all about putting the best lineup combo together and Neto's drive-and-kick style and ball pressure on defense works better with the plus-scoring wings of Rodney Hood and Gordon Hayward. The Wolfman is only worth a look in deep leagues due to his poor shooting.
Oct 28 - 6:10 PM

Raul Neto scored 10 points on 4-of-8 from the field against the Nuggets on Thursday, adding two rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers.

This was his best game and it came in the starting lineup. Considering all the experience in the first unit, we might see the rookie in the starting lineup. To be clear, just because he's starting doesn't mean he's worth drafting in standard leagues -- Dante Exum had very little value last year. Burke is a better target and Neto is only worth a look in deep leagues.
Oct 23 - 1:09 AM

Raul Neto and Rodney Hood will start on Thursday night against the Nuggets.

This is interesting because coach Quin Snyder said he'd like to treat this game like a regular season outing. Neto still hasn't separated himself to be worthy of drafting in standard leagues, but he is obviously on the radar. Hood and Alec Burks are both wonderful targets late in draft as both offer nice upside. We'll let you know how everyone does tonight.
Oct 22 - 8:08 PM

Raul Neto started against the Suns in a 101-85 loss on Friday, scoring six points with two rebounds, one assist and one turnover in 23 minutes.

Trey Burke rested today to give Neto the start. He had some really nice passes and that part of his game is translating nicely so far. Of course, he is nowhere near where he should be as a scorer and teams will force him to beat with their defenders going under screens. He's only a late-round pick in deep leagues.
Oct 10 - 1:08 AM

Raul Neto will start against the Suns on Friday.

Trey Burke is not going to play tonight, so Neto should have plenty of minutes headed his way. He certainly could find himself in the starting lineup later in the season, but his shooting woes make him a tough fantasy target in most leagues.
