Raul Neto scored nine points with two rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 24 minutes against the Magic on Saturday.
He did some damage in garbage time and he had a ridiculous +44 in this 40-point win. Among players this century with 24 or fewer minutes, only Wally Szczerbiak had a better plus/minus with +50 in 2001. Crazy stat aside, Neto is going to lose run now that Ricky Rubio is back. Not a bad weekend with his career-high 22 on Friday, though. Nov 18 - 9:52 PM

Date:

Raul Neto scored a career-high 22 points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 20 minutes against the Nets on Friday.

This goes down as probably the flukiest line of the night, but props to Neto for stepping up. Donovan Mitchell looks 100 percent comfortable as a playmaker and he's capable of playing big minutes, so expect Neto to play around 18-22 minutes while Ricky Rubio (Achilles) is out. He has short-term value in deep leagues.
Nov 17 - 11:13 PM

Raul Neto (leg) scored four points with a rebound, an assist and a steal in 11 minutes off the bench Saturday in his season debut.

Neto is expected work as the backup to Ricky Rubio, and he could see a few extra minutes with Rodney Hood (calf) on the shelf. He only warrants fantasy consideration in the very deepest of leagues unless something happens to Rubio.
Oct 22 - 12:24 AM

Raul Neto (left leg) has been medically cleared and will play Friday against Minnesota.

Neto, who was sidelined for the season opener on Wednesday, will serve as Ricky Rubio's backup. Rodney Hood (gastric distress) is also expected to play Friday. WIth both Neto and Hood healthy, Donovan Mitchell will likely see fewer minutes on Friday.
Oct 20 - 1:14 PM

Raul Neto (left leg) has been ruled out for Wednesday's season opener against the Nuggets.

This isn't all that surprising considering Neto has yet to get through a full practice, and with Dante Exum (shoulder surgery) also unavailable, we'll likely see rookie Donovan Mitchell get some reps as the backup point guard while Ricky Rubio rests. The Jazz play again Friday vs. Minnesota, and for now, we'll be considering Neto questionable for that one.
Oct 18 - 1:47 PM

Quin Snyder is hopeful that Raul Neto (left leg) will be able to suit up for Utah's season opener against Denver on Wednesday.

Neto was again limited during Tuesday's practice, which isn't a great sign regarding his availability for Wednesday night, but with Dante Exum (shoulder) going down the Jazz could use Neto's services. If he's forced to miss the opener, Donovan Mitchell and Alec Burks would likely be asked to run some point in the second unit while Ricky Rubio gets his rest. Stay tuned.
Oct 17 - 2:58 PM

Raul Neto (left leg) was limited during Monday's practice.

There have been some mixed reports as to whether Neto is dealing with a quad or hamstring injury, but it sounds like he's in danger of sitting out Wednesday's season opener against the Nuggets. Whether he plays or not will not have an impact in fantasy hoops, though.
Oct 16 - 3:26 PM

Raul Neto won't play on Tuesday night.

He returned on Monday from a quad injury and the Jazz are probably just taking it easy on him in a back-to-back. He's now the primary backup to Ricky Rubio now that Dante Exum will miss extended time.
Oct 10 - 9:04 PM

Raul Neto returned from a quad injury on Monday and had six points, two assists and three steals on 2-of-6 shooting in 25 minutes.

With Dante Exum going down with a serious shoulder injury that could keep him out indefinitely, Neto now becomes the primary backup for starting point guard Ricky Rubio. However, it would likely take an injury to Rubio for Neto to become fantasy fodder in traditional leagues.
Oct 10 - 12:35 AM

Raul Neto (quad) will not play against the Suns on Friday.

We should see Dante Exum get most of the backup point guard minutes tonight. For now, Exum looks to be ahead of Neto for that role during the season.
Oct 6 - 7:16 PM

Raul Neto (left quad tightness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's preseason matchup with Maccabi.

Neto's quad injury doesn't sound serious, but there's no reason for him to push it when the games don't matter. As the third-string point guard in Utah, Neto has no fantasy value.
Oct 4 - 1:00 PM

Raul Neto (left quad tightness) is questionable to play in Wednesday's preseason matchup with Maccabi.

Even the smallest flare-ups can cause a player to hit the sidelines during the preseason, so don't be surprised if Neto watches from the sidelines on Wednesday night. He's not a fantasy option anyway.
Oct 3 - 6:49 PM

Raul Neto (ankle) is available for Game 2 vs. the Clippers on Tuesday.

Neto will join the active list and Alec Burks will be inactive. At best, Neto will see a handful of minutes off the bench and can't be trusted in fantasy lineups.
Apr 18 - 10:16 PM

Raul Neto (ankle) practiced on Monday, but he remains questionable to play in Game 2 against the Clippers on Tuesday.

With Utah's backcourt fully intact, Neto will be a negligible part of the rotation, so his playing status is irrelevant.
Apr 17 - 3:54 PM

Raul Neto (ankle) will not play against the Clippers in Game 1 on Saturday.

He's the only one on the injury report, so the Jazz may not even need him. George Hill will have to stay healthy for the Jazz to beat the Clippers, especially without homecourt.
