Raul Neto played a career-high 37 minutes on Saturday vs. the Suns, scoring 13 points with four assists, two boards, one steal and one 3-pointer.
The rookie got some extended run since Trey Burke didn't travel due to an illness, so owners shouldn't overreact to the big minutes. Burke is day-to-day and Alec Burks (ankle) will steal some of his minutes when he returns after the All-Star break, so Neto is only worth a look in very deep leagues for owners in need of short-term help. Raul Neto scored a career-high 14 points against the Bulls on Monday with three rebounds, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

It's also just the second time in his career with more than 30 minutes. He actually gave Derrick Rose the business and showed more assertiveness in this big win. He'll obviously need to do it a few more times to garner the attention in fantasy leagues.
Feb 2 - 1:46 AM

Utah coach Quin Snyder praised rookie Raul Neto after Friday's win over the Wolves.

"He's understanding what the guys need and assuming the role of the guy who's getting them the ball," Snyder said. "He's hitting open shots and defending the ball. He can make an impact doing that, and winning battles at the point of attack." Neto had nine points with six assists in 25 minutes in the win, but his production has been sporadic this season and he was scoreless in his previous outing. He is only on the radar in deeper leagues.
Jan 30 - 12:15 PM

Raul Neto started Wednesday's game but shot 0-of-7 from the field to finish scoreless with one rebound and two assists in 20 minutes.

He was initially ruled out due to concussion symptoms stemming from an elbow he took during Monday's game, but was surprisingly cleared for action tonight. Even at 100 percent health the 23-year-old Brazilian has no fantasy appeal.
Jan 28 - 12:25 AM

Raul Neto (concussion) will start vs. the Hornets on Wednesday.

Trey Burke will remain on the bench tonight, as will Derrick Favors -- the Jazz are starting Trey Lyles to keep Favors' minutes limited in a bench role.
Jan 27 - 8:50 PM

Raul Neto (concussion) has been cleared and will play against the Hornets on Wednesday.

He just suffered a concussion on Monday, so they cleared him rarely quickly here. Neto's likely return to the starting lineup makes Trey Burke a less appealing target in DFS and also that Erick Green probably won't play.
Jan 27 - 4:25 PM

Raul Neto (concussion) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Hornets.

Trey Burke figures to earn the start on Wednesday, and he'll get all the run he can handle with newly signed Erick Green serving as Burke's primary backup. Burke can put points on the board when given the minutes, but he doesn't bring much else to the stat sheet, so he's not much more than a low-end play in DFS.
Jan 26 - 5:04 PM

Raul Neto (concussion) suffered a concussion during Monday's loss to the Pistons.

Neto took an inadvertent elbow to the head during the first quarter on Monday and will have to complete the league's concussion protocol before he can return to action. The Jazz may have to make a call to the D-League as Trey Burke is the team's only healthy point guard on the roster, but Burke will see all the minutes he can handle until we know more.
Jan 26 - 10:13 AM

Raul Neto (concussion-like symptoms) will not return to Monday's game vs. the Pistons.

He lasted just six minutes in this one and the Jazz ruled him pretty quickly. Neto averages just 19.3 minutes per game, but Trey Burke will soak up most of those minutes in his absence.
Jan 25 - 9:46 PM

Raul Neto (face) left Monday's game vs. the Pistons and went to the locker room.

He only averages 19.3 minutes per game, so the Jazz wouldn't be in trouble if he had to miss time. Expect Trey Burke to step up if Neto can't return.
Jan 25 - 9:28 PM

Raul Neto matched his career-high 13 points against the Kings on Thursday with two rebounds, four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 20 minutes.

He's actually turned it up a notch in his last five, averaging 8.4 points, 1.6 boards, 4.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 treys in 25.8 minutes per game. That's basically his peak and it's still only good for 16th-round value in standard leagues. He's only a deep-league guy.
Jan 15 - 12:58 AM

Raul Neto matched his career high with 13 points in Saturday's win over the Heat, adding five assists, two boards, three steals and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes.

The minutes were also a career high. Neto has struggled on the defensive end this season, but he was actually really good in this one. Some injuries in Utah have opened up some more minutes in the rotation and coach Quin Snyder is starting to trust him a little more, but he is still only worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues.
Jan 9 - 11:58 PM

Raul Neto (shoulder) briefly left Monday's game vs. the Suns, but he is available to return.

He is dealing with a minor shoulder contusion and should be back in the game shortly. Despite starting at point guard, Neto only sees minutes in the teens on a nightly basis and is not a fantasy asset. Alec Burks will benefit if Neto misses time in the future.
Mon, Dec 21, 2015 10:31:00 PM

Raul Neto will start on Friday against the Nuggets and Alec Burks will come off the bench.

Neto will probably just play 10-15 minutes tonight, so he's still not a fantasy option. Burks may get a few less minutes off the bench, which also takes away from Rodney Hood slightly.
Fri, Dec 18, 2015 07:33:00 PM

Raul Neto returned to the starting lineup on Monday vs. the Spurs, scoring 12 points with three boards, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 21 minutes.

Neto looked lost on the defensive end and couldn't really contain Tony Parker (18 points), so it's understandable why he was benched against Russell Westbrook and the Thunder on Sunday. Neto was averaging 17.1 minutes per game coming into this one, so he's not a fantasy asset despite the fact that he's starting.
