Raul Neto scored 21 points on 9-of-10 from the field vs. Argentina during Brazil's win on Sunday.
He added two assists, one rebound and one steal in 25 minutes. Neto signed with Club Baloncesto UCAM this summer, which is too bad for the Jazz because he may be the best point guard under their control right now. Dante Exum is a major project while Trey Burke struggled mightily in his rookie season. Mon, Sep 8, 2014 12:29:00 PM

Raul Neto officially signed with Club Baloncesto UCAM.

The Jazz acquired him in the 2013 draft and he did join their summer league team in 2013, but he'll play in Spain for the second consecutive season. Neto is expected to join the Brazilian team this month for the FIBA World Cup.

Jazz 2013 pick Raul Neto will not participate in this year's Summer League, instead he will go back to Brazil and compete for his national team.

Sources say that Jazz management is still deciding on whether to bring over the Brazilian point guard, or let him spend another year overseas developing. Neto has averaged 9.8 points, and 3.3 assists on 43.8 percent shooting during his time in the EuroLeague, so he certainly could use some more time developing his game. Whether he comes over or not, he will be playing behind Dante Exum and Trey Burke, a situation that doesn't offer much upside from a fantasy perspective.

Jazz 2013 draft pick Raul Neto broke his right index finger and will miss 2-3 weeks.

Neto was drafted 47th overall last year by the Jazz but spent last year playing in Spain. The 21-year-old Brazilian averaged over nine points per game in the ACB last season. He could make the jump to the NBA next season where he'd likely be fighting for minutes with guys like John Lucas III and Diante Garrett. Fantasy owners can safely ignore him on draft day.

Raul Neto will play in Spain for this upcoming season.

The Jazz took him with the 47th pick after Neto averaged 8.5 points and 2.9 assists for Lagun Arco GBC in the Spanish League. Neto could wind up with the Jazz next year and could get minutes with the team currently lacking elite point guard depth.

Updating a previous report, Jazz draft pick Raul Neto is in Orlando awaiting FIBA clearance to participate in Summer League.

It was previously reported that Neto would not play in Summer League, though his presence doesn't mean that he'll join the Jazz for the 2013-14 season. Though subject to change, the Brazilian PG expected to remain under contract in Spain for at least one more year.

Jazz draft pick Raul Neto is expected to remain in Spain for at least one more season.

This has been the expectation ever since the Mavs took Neto at No. 47 overall, and he will not join the Mavericks' Summer League team. It's possible that he'll make the jump to the NBA in 2014.

Jazz draft pick Raul Neto could play in Spain for "another year or two" before joining the NBA.

His availability for Summer League is uncertain, and the Jazz also aren't sure whether rookie Rudy Gobert will be able to negotiate a buyout with his French team in time to join the squad.

The Hawks landed Brazilian PG Raul Neto with the 47th pick in the draft, but he was dealt to Utah.

He's 21 years old, has the ability to get to the basket and is a skilled passer. Neto played 33 games in Liga ACB in Spain, shooting 46 percent from the field. He's likely headed overseas. In exchange, the Hawks will get a future second round pick.
