Joffrey Lauvergne played five scoreless minutes on Tuesday, making his first appearance since Oct. 23.
He's been dealing with an ankle injury and was finally able to get back on the court tonight. Unless you're in a ridiculous fantasy league that drafts nearly every player in the NBA, Lauvergne should be ignored until further notice. Nov 15 - 12:00 AM

Joffrey Lauvergne (ankle) will not play Tuesday vs. the Mavs.

Lauvergne, who has missed each of the Spurs last 10 games, is making progress but is not yet ready to suit up. Coach Gregg Popovich did indicate there was a chance that Lauvergne could play Wednesday vs. the Wolves.
Nov 14 - 1:19 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne (ankle) is being listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Mavericks.

Lauvergne was able to get in a light practice last Wednesday, and Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News said based on what he saw at practice, that he'd speculate Lauvergne will be ready to get back on the court Tuesday night following a 10-game stint on the sidelines. Check back for another update following Tuesday morning's shootaround.
Nov 13 - 2:53 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne (ankle) went through a light practice on Wednesday.

Lauvergne was spotted working on some low-post moves with Tim Duncan, and while it wasn't all that intense of a practice, this is a good sign regarding his availability for Friday's game against the Bucks. However, even if Lauvergne plays, he won't be on the court enough to make a meaningful impact in most leagues.
Nov 8 - 1:36 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne (ankle) will remain on the sidelines for Tuesday's game against the Clippers.

Gregg Popovich indicated last Thursday that Lauvergne will be out at least another 4-6 days, so while he'll miss Tuesday's game, maybe he'll be able to get out there for Friday's game against the Bucks. Lauvergne belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Nov 6 - 5:26 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne (ankle) is likely out 4-6 more days, according to coach Gregg Popovich.

"I guess it was a higher sprain than I thought initially," Popovich said. With him out, it's been mostly Brandon Paul being added to the rotation with some others moving to different positions.
Nov 2 - 7:04 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne (ankle) will not play Thursday vs. the Warriors.

This will be his fifth consecutive game on the sidelines, which should result in heavy minutes for LaMarcus Aldridge. Lauvergne isn't worth owning anywhere.
Nov 1 - 6:14 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne (ankle) will not play Monday vs. the Celtics.

This will be Lauvergne's fourth straight game on the sidelines, which will force Rudy Gay to spend more time at power forward and LaMarcus Aldridge will see his minutes in the high-30s. Lauvergne belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Oct 30 - 3:20 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne (ankle) will not play against the Pacers on Sunday.

He'll miss his third game in a row, but the Spurs should be OK. Rudy Gay will play almost exclusively power forward while Kyle Anderson should help fill the void, too. Brandon Paul has been added to the rotation, as well.
Oct 28 - 4:49 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne (ankle) will not play against the Magic on Friday.

On Wednesday, Brandon Paul got the call in the second unit to replace the minutes left by Lauvergne. It's possible coach Gregg Popovich mixes it up and goes with Davis Bertans, but fantasy owners can't count on either. Rudy Gay and Kyle Anderson will get more minutes at the four.
Oct 26 - 5:44 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne (ankle) will not play against the Heat on Wednesday.

With Lauvergne out of the lineup, the Spurs will probably have to go smaller with Rudy Gay and Kyle Anderson at the four more often. Plus, it's likely they would call upon Davis Bertans to be in the rotation.

Oct 24 - 5:04 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne (ankle) will not return to Monday's game vs. Toronto.

He went to the locker room with a sprained right ankle and was ruled out a few minutes later. X-rays were negative, but he'll undergo an MRI on Tuesday morning. Lauvergne made the most of his 16 minutes, scoring nine points with seven rebounds and a steal. If King Joffrey misses time, the Spurs will have to play more small ball and we could see Davis Bertans enter the rotation.
Oct 23 - 10:46 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne posted five points with six rebounds and an assist in 17 minutes off the bench Saturday in Chicago.

The 6'11" Frenchman has gone 2-of-6 from the field in each of his first two games. He has a little bit of offensive upside and he'll grab a handful of rebounds, but he really needs an injury or rest for Pau Gasol in order to see a clear path to regular playing time.
Oct 21 - 11:46 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne earned the start for San Antonio on Sunday and turned in seven points, four rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes.

Pau Gasol was resting and Lauvergne's start highlights how thin the Spurs are in the middle, with a rotation that includes Gasol, Lauvergne, LaMarcus Aldridge and Davis Bertans. Gregg Popovich praised Lauvergne during training camp, and he was solid in 17 minutes on Friday, turning in seven points, 10 rebounds and four assists. As long as Pau is healthy, though, there's no reason to touch Lauvergne outside of very deep leagues.
Oct 8 - 7:38 PM

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich praised Joffrey Lauvergne for his performance at camp so far.

"His offensive awareness has been really good as far as choosing when to try to score, when to kick the ball, play with his teammates on defense," Popovich said. "Rebounding-wise, he’s very willing. He’s got a good aggressiveness to him." Lauvergne could be the first big off the bench in San Antonio and may pick up some starts on the nights when Pau Gasol or LaMarcus Aldridge sit out to rest, but he's only on the radar in deeper leagues for now.
