Joffrey Lauvergne is currently recovering from a blood infection, and he isn't expected to be at full strength when the Nuggets being their summer league on Friday.
The Nuggets training staff believe that the infection was caused by bacteria buildup between his toes, but Lauvergne is making progress. "I'm just getting back to practice day by day. I start to get better every day," Lauvergne said. "My foot keeps hurting me, but I don't feel weak like a few days ago, so that's better." We will leave him off the injury report for now, but we will let you know if this issue continues to linger. Lauvergne has his work cut out for him this summer if he wants to crack the rotation in Denver next season, and he isn't on the fantasy radar just yet. Jul 10 - 10:11 AM

Joffrey Lauvergne missed all five of his shots during Sunday's home loss, finishing scoreless in 11 minutes off the bench.

Lauvergne's stint as a starter was short-lived and he can be cut by any opportunistic owners who claimed him this week. We'll let you know if the Nuggets' intriguing rookie gains any momentum over the final 23 games of the season.
Mar 1 - 11:06 PM

Joffrey Lauvergne started alongside J.J. Hickson in the Nuggets' 104-82 loss to the Jazz on Friday, scoring nine points on 3-of-8 shooting (1-of-3 from deep, 2-of-6 from the line) with six rebounds and one block in 26 minutes.

Lauvergne has an interesting versatility for fantasy leagues but he might be a bit green for 12-14 team standard leagues, even as a flier pick. If the Nuggets commit to playing him and he can hit his free throws there could be some unique upside. J.J. Hickson added three points and five boards and why he's on the floor at all is anybody's guess.
Feb 28 - 4:14 AM

Joffrey Lauvergne will start against the Jazz on Friday night.

He'll join Ty Lawson, Gary Harris, Danilo Gallinari and J.J. Hickson. Lauvergne logged some big minutes on Wednesday and the Nuggets look like they'll be giving him big run. He's not a tremendous player for fantasy because he doesn't block a ton of shots, but he's certainly worth a look for anyone needing a big man.
Feb 27 - 7:26 PM

Joffery Lauvergne stepped up against the Suns on Wednesday with 11 points, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 26 minutes.

If you haven't heard of Lauvergne before tonight, you're not alone. He wasn't even in the league in the first half of the year and the Nuggets signed him on Feb. 19. However, there is a legit chance he logs close to 30 minutes with the Nuggets running out of frontcourt players. In the Eurocup this season, Lauvergne averaged 7.8 points, 4.5 boards and 0.6 blocks in 18.1 minutes. Believe it or not, he's worth a look if you need a big man in deeper leagues with Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) expected to miss multiple games.
Feb 26 - 12:53 AM

Nuggets rookie Joffrey Lauvergne made his NBA debut on Sunday, coming off the bench for eight points, three rebounds and two blocks in 18 minutes, while making 3-of-6 FGs and 2-of-2 FTs.

It was an impressive performance from Lauvergne, an intriguing prospect who could benefit from Brian Shaw's chaotic rotations and the likely emphasis on player development down the stretch. Deep-league owners should consider stashing Lauvergne, but everyone else can watch his progress from a safe distance.
Feb 22 - 9:56 PM

Nuggets sign PF/C Joffrey Lauvergne.

It's believed to be a three-year deal and Lauvergne could get some playing time down the stretch, especially with JaVale McGee no longer in Denver. He's an intriguing prospect with good shooting range, but fantasy owners shouldn't expect value from him as a rookie.
Feb 19 - 3:50 PM

The Nuggets are reportedly finalizing a three-year deal with PF/C Joffrey Lauvergne.

Denver drafted Lauvergne in the second round of the 2013 draft and he had a nice run with Partizan Belgrade last season, averaging 11.0 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.3 blocks. Denver may aggressively overhaul their roster this week, giving Lauvergne a shot at reliable playing time, but he's off the radar in standard leagues.
Feb 11 - 5:34 PM

The Nuggets are working on a deal to bring their 2013 draft pick Joffrey Lauvergne to the NBA.

He reportedly cut ties with BC Khimki of the Russian League on Tuesday, and the Nuggets are hoping to bring him over soon. Lauvergne is an athletic power forward who can stretch the floor, and while he does have potential, he likely wouldn't be in the rotation upon his arrival in Denver. For what it's worth, Lauvergne averaged 7.8 points, 4.5 boards and 1.1 assists in 18.1 minutes per game with BC Khimki this season.
Feb 3 - 9:32 PM

The Denver Nuggets hope to bring Frenchman Joffrey Lauvergne from overseas for next season.

"It is true that the Nuggets want to sign Joffrey Lauvergne," said Lauvergne's agent Misko Raznatovic. "But also some other important teams are eyeing Lauvergne. According to NBA Rules, official negotiations can start from July 1." He was a second round draft pick in 2013 by the Grizzlies, who later traded his rights to the Nuggets. He has been playing for Partizan Belgrade of the Serbian League since 2012.

The Nuggets are pleased with the development of second-round draft pick Joffrey Lauvergne, a 6'11" PF who is averaging 11.4 points and 8.9 rebounds with Partizan Belgrade.

The 22-year-old has enough athleticism and shooting range to make a dent whenever he jumps to the NBA, but he's a long way from having fantasy relevance. We'll keep an eye on him during the offseason, as the Nuggets hope to continue evaluating him during Summer League.
