Brandon Davies will move back to the bench for Wednesday against the Celtics.
He had been playing well for the 76ers, but his minutes might be taking a serious hit with Nerlens Noel back and the team giving Robert Covington some burn. Davies can be cut in just about all leagues. Nov 19 - 5:30 PM

Date:

Brandon Davies did not score on Monday with four rebounds, four assists and one steal.

He has a little more competition for minutes with Robert Covington around. Davies has lost a bit of momentum and he's not likely to stick in the starting lineup much longer. If you can swap him out for Covington, go for it.
Nov 18 - 1:01 AM

Brandon Davies hit just 3-of-12 shots in Friday's 88-87 loss to the Rockets on Friday, finishing with seven points, five rebounds, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

Davies should be watched while he is starting and/or getting decent minutes, but he has to do a lot more before owners in standard leagues should go out of their way to roster him.
Nov 15 - 1:06 AM

Brandon Davies will join Tony Wroten, Hollis Thompson, Luc Mbah a Moute and Henry Sims in the starting lineup.

Davies has been good in some spots and he has a decent matchup against Donatas Motiejunas. Although, Nerlens Noel will likely get the bulk of the minutes in the frontcourt.
Nov 14 - 6:46 PM

Brandon Davies played 24 minutes off the bench against the Bulls on Friday with seven points, two rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer.

He did not play well at all tonight and lost playing time to a suddenly hot Henry Sims. Davies should be better his next time out and is worth a look in standard leagues.
Nov 7 - 11:17 PM

Brandon Davies will come off the bench against the Bulls on Friday.

He's been great so far with an effective field goal percentage of 64.0 on the season. Davies will anchor the second unit with K.J. McDaniels and should still be able to match his 10.5 shots per game form the last two games. He's worth using in daily leagues today.
Nov 7 - 5:29 PM

Brandon Davies started at PF and hit 9-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 20 points, four rebounds and a steal in Wednesday's tough loss to the Magic.

It looks like Davies is now the starting PF for the Sixers and he's worth a look in deeper leagues, as well as dailies. He played 29 minutes, but once he starts missing shots, we doubt he'll be quite this exciting on most nights. Congratulations if you had him in a lineup tonight. But if Nerlens Noel is going to miss time with his fresh ankle injury, Davies could continue to be a sneaky fantasy play.
Nov 5 - 9:48 PM

Brandon Davies will start at power forward against the Magic on Wednesday.

He turned in a nice 13-point game on Tuesday and Henry Sims has been underwhelming to say the least, so coach Brett Brown is going to make the switch. At this point Davies looks like a much better add in deeper leagues than Sims and he offers a higher upside, as well. Fantasy owners in standard leagues can probably wait a game or two before grabbing him.
Nov 5 - 5:28 PM

Brandon Davies is a candidate to start at power forward for Wednesday's game as Nerlens Noel moves to center.

Coach Brett Brown was hesitant to commit to Davies at Tuesday's practice even though he ran with the first team while Henry Sims ran with the second unit. When asked about Davies possibly starting, coach Brown said, "I don't know. But what I do know is I don't feel a prisoner to anything. I don't. It's not a knock on these guys." Regardless, Davies makes sense as a flier in standard leagues while we can get behind you parting ways with Henry Sims. Check back before Wednesday's game for an official update.
Nov 5 - 11:23 AM

Brandon Davies started with Henry Sims (illness) being sent to the bench on Monday, scoring 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, three assists and one block in 24 minutes.

Davies has flashed some starting potential and it wouldn't be surprising if he held onto the job after a decent night like this. If you're buying a Philadelphia Lottery ticket every day on your way to work, give him a look.
Nov 3 - 10:30 PM

Brandon Davies is starting in place of Henry Sims on Monday.

He'll join Tony Wroten, Hollis Thompson, Nerlens Noel and Luc Mbah a Moute in the starting lineup. Davies is coming off a terrific 7-of-9 shooting game on Saturday and played well in summer league. Of course, he's not worth grabbing in almost any league yet. We'll let you know how he does tonight.
Nov 3 - 7:01 PM

Brandon Davies would start at power forward on Monday if Henry Sims (illness) can't play.

The Sixers are taking on a high-powered Rockets offense, so this one could be over quickly. Regardless, if Sims sits out, Davies will draw the start at power forward with Nerlens Noel at center. Davies had 18 points, three boards and three steals on 7-of-9 shooting (including a three) in 24 minutes in his last game, so owners in daily formats looking for a bargain could do worse on a night with six games.
Nov 3 - 11:37 AM

Brandon Davies made 7-of-9 from the field for 18 points with three rebounds, three steals and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes on Saturday vs. the Heat.

If you had Davies in your surprise 76er blow-up game, pat yourself on the back. Davies had a couple bright spots over the summer, but he's been pretty quiet since. He'll need to string together a few solid games together, but Henry Sims isn't untouchable in the starting lineup.
Nov 1 - 11:51 PM

Brandon Davies drew the start against the Wolves on Friday, scoring 13 points with five rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes.

Nerlens Noel (thigh) did not play and it opened the door for Davies tonight. He's still going to have a tough time getting regular playing time while the 76ers are healthy, but he'll definitely have a big game here and there. Davies is not worth drafting in most leagues.
Oct 10 - 10:45 PM

Brandon Davies had 13 points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes off the Sixers bench on Wednesday.

He hit 6-of-6 free throws and 3-of-8 field goals, but he's almost a lock to come off the bench all season behind Nerlens Noel, meaning he shouldn't be consistent enough to offer fantasy value.
