Dewayne Dedmon scored 11 points with 11 rebounds, two assists and one block in 23 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday.
While he's not starting, Dedmon is still looking at minutes in the mid 20s. Perhaps he does start soon, but Dedmon has done enough to be owned in most 12-team formats anyway. A trade would hurt his value, though. Jan 20 - 7:33 PM

Dewayne Dedmon scored four points on 2-of-9 shooting on Wednesday, but he added 10 rebounds, three assists and one steal before fouling out in 20 minutes.

Dedmon sat out nearly six weeks with a stress reaction in his tibia, but he hasn't missed a game since returning on Jan. 8. He was coming off a double-double in 26 minutes vs. the Spurs, and the Hawks have obviously given him the green light to spread the court with 10 attempts from deep in the past three games. He's a solid low-end center who should be owned in all 12-team leagues.
Jan 17 - 11:24 PM

Dewayne Dedmon is available to play on Wednesday agains the Pelicans.

He was probable, but the Hawks tend to be aggressive in putting probable tags on guys. Dedmon is likely going to be very important today against Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins. He should be owned in standard leagues.
Jan 17 - 6:12 PM

Dewayne Dedmon came off the bench against his former team and hit 4-of-8 shots, a 3-pointer and all three of his free throws for 12 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and a steal in 26 minutes on Monday.

He sunk a couple clutch free throws late that kept the Hawks in control of a close game and played very well against his former team. Miles Plumless started but failed to score in 17 minutes, so it might be time for Dedmon to move back into the starting unit. Either way, Dedmon is averaging 10.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 0.7 blocks over his last three games, making him a low-end center option even if coming off the bench.
Jan 15 - 6:12 PM

Dewayne Dedmon scored 11 points with nine rebounds, one assist and one block in 23 minutes vs. the Nets on Friday.

He's not a sexy fantasy asset, but he'll get the job done and only needs minutes in the lower to mid-20s to be worth owning in standard 12-team leagues. Dedmon said his leg is "definitely feeling good" and he looks like the best center to own in Atlanta right now, at least until they unleash John Collins.
Jan 12 - 11:19 PM

Dewayne Dedmon (leg), Mike Muscala (ankle) and Taurean Prince (finger) are available to play Friday vs. the Nets.

This is standard protocol from the Hawks, they list them as probable, then available to play, then playing. None of these guys were in danger of sitting out tonight's game, but they'll probably be on the injury report for some inexplicable reason for another few weeks.
Jan 12 - 6:15 PM

Dewayne Dedmon (leg), Mike Muscala (ankle) and Taurean Prince (finger) are all officially 'probable' for Friday's game vs. the Nets.

These guys were all probable for the previous two games, and they all played, so it looks like Atlanta is just being excessively cautious. We'll have more information after Friday's shootaround, but there's no reason to think they'll sit out.
Jan 11 - 5:14 PM

Dewayne Dedmon played just 18 minutes and hit 3-of-6 shots for nine points, nine rebounds and one block in Wednesday's easy 110-97 win over the Nuggets.

Dedmon's been back for two games after missing extended time with a leg injury and was playing very well before the injury. But he now has to deal with guys like Miles Plumlee, John Collins and Mike Muscala, meaning it could be tough for him to get back into the groove he was in before the injury. The Hawks have too many big men in their pocket right now, and Collins is the guy we'd prefer stashing. Just keep an eye on Dedmon in case he starts getting more than 20 minutes a night.
Jan 11 - 12:40 AM

Dewayne Dedmon (leg), Mike Muscala (ankle) and Taurean Prince (finger) are all probable to play Wednesday vs. the Nuggets.

All these guys were probable on Monday, and they all played, so that trend should continue on Wednesday night. Knowing how Atlanta likes to list injuries, this group could see the probable tag for the next month. Dedmon logged 20 minutes in his return to action on Monday, so maybe he'll get closer to the 25-range on Wednesday.
Jan 9 - 6:33 PM

Dewayne Dedmon (leg) played 20 minutes on Monday vs. the Clippers, scoring six points with three rebounds, one steal and one block.

The Hawks are going to work him back slowly, but he could see minutes in the mid-20s as soon as Wednesday's game vs. the Nuggets. Dedmon averaged 11.1 points, 7.8 boards and 0.9 blocks as a starter before he missed six weeks of action, so don't hesitate to grab him, especially in leagues that start two centers.
Jan 9 - 1:50 AM

Dewayne Dedmon (leg) is available off the bench on Monday vs. the Clippers.

He's going to have restrictions, but it's not clear exactly how many minutes he will be limited to. He's worth picking up if you need a center as he averaged 11.1 points, 7.8 boards and 0.9 blocks per game before the injury, but you will need to be patient with him early on. Once he has his legs under him, we'd expect Dedmon and John Collins to get the bulk of the center minutes going forward.
Jan 8 - 9:52 PM

Dewayne Dedmon (leg), Mike Muscala (ankle) and Taurean Prince (finger) are probable to play Monday vs. the Clippers.

In Atlanta, probable tends to mean will play, so it looks like Dedmon will be returning from a six-week absence tonight. He'll likely be limited in his first game back, but with averages of 11.1 points, 7.8 boards and 0.9 blocks per game on the season, he's someone to think about grabbing in deep leagues. Muscala hasn't exceeded the 10-minute mark since getting back to the court, so he's not worth owning anywhere. Prince is safe to fire up with a favorable matchup against Los Angeles.
Jan 8 - 3:38 PM

The Hawks are hoping Dewayne Dedmon (left tibia stress reaction) can return to games in 10-14 days.

This fits with their earlier timetable from this month with Dedmon back in early January. On their update today, they said a CT scan indicated Dedmon's leg is healing as expected, which means he should be able to be back within his 3-6 week timetable from back on Nov. 29. Dedmon's return means Miles Plumlee moves out of the rotation, but John Collins should get minutes regardless.

Dewayne Dedmon (leg) has been cleared for on-court work.

Stress fractures are really tough to project when it comes to a return date. We've seen Seth Curry (leg) do on-court work for over a month, but he's still not close. The Hawks have said they're hoping Dedmon can make it back in early January, so he may still be on pace for that target. He'll likely have a minutes limit upon his return, so it may be a month or so before he's turning in reliable value.

Coach Mike Budenholzer said that Dewayne Dedmon (leg) hasn't taken part in any team practice activities yet.

Dedmon was given a 3-6 week timetable back on November 29th, so he should be back on the court by mid-January. However, he will need to start taking in limited practices first, and then full-contact before he is given clearance. Coach Bud said Dedmon is still in the rehab-only phase. Thus, he still has quite a few hurdles left to clear.
