Dewayne Dedmon (illness) returned from a one-game absence in Game 5 vs. the Grizzlies on Tuesday, scoring one point with three boards in two minutes off the bench.
Dedmon has played well in his limited role all season, but this series doesn't suit him. He will likely have a larger role in Round 2 if the Spurs can take care of business against Memphis, but he's not worth deploying in fantasy leagues until further notice. Expect David Lee to make his third straight start in Game 6. Apr 26 - 12:05 AM

Dewayne Dedmon (illness) said that he is fully recovered and will be available to play in Game 5 vs. Memphis on Tuesday.

Dedmon missed Game 4 on Saturday due to a stomach bug but was able to practice on Monday. "I’m feeling a lot better, I can tell you that," Dedmon said. Dedmon started each of the first three games of this series but averaged only 12.7 minutes per contest. David Lee will likely get bumped back to the bench with Dedmon returning for Game 5.

Dewayne Dedmon (illness) is not being listed on the injury report for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Grizzlies.

Dedmon sat out Saturday's Game 4 loss with a minor illness, but ever indication is that he'll be back in action on Tuesday night. David Lee might not play as much with Dedmon back in the fold.
Apr 24 - 4:27 PM

Dewayne Dedmon (illness) was able to go through practice on Monday.

After missing Game 4 vs. the Grizzlies on Saturday, Dedmon has had a few days off to recover and is expected to play in Game 5 on Tuesday. He was only playing 12.7 minutes per game in the first three games of the series, so there aren't many fantasy implications. David Lee logged 33 minutes in a start in Game 4, but his role could take a hit with Dedmon expected back.
Apr 24 - 1:51 PM

Dewayne Dedmon (illness) will not play against the Grizzlies in Game 4 on Saturday.

Dedmon has been starting and played 12.7 minutes per game in this series, so it's not the toughest hole to fill. The Spurs will likely divide those minutes to Pau Gasol, LaMarcus Aldridge and David Lee. Davis Bertans could also be an option as the last man in the rotation, or maybe they go with more Kyle Anderson.
Apr 22 - 5:23 PM

Dewayne Dedmon double-doubled in 18 minutes vs. the Mavericks on Friday with 10 points, 13 rebounds, one assist and one block.

He finished 5-of-10 from the field and did all of his damage in just 18 minutes. The Spurs rested seven players including Pau Gasol, LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard, and with the No. 2 seed in the West locked up, Dedmon will likely see a bump in value in the final three games of the season.
Apr 7 - 11:28 PM

Dewayne Dedmon will start Friday vs. the Mavs.

With Kawhi Leonard (rest), LaMarcus Aldridge (rest), Pau Gasol (rest), Manu Ginobili (quad), Danny Green (quad) all out, Dedmon and the rest of the Spurs playing on Friday should see a big bump in usage rate.
Apr 7 - 7:20 PM

Dewayne Dedmon scored eight points on 4-of-6 shooting while adding 14 rebounds and a blocked shot in 20 minutes against the Cavaliers on Monday.

Dedmon held his own against Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson, cleaning the glass 10 times on the defensive end. Despite the solid performance, he is still only worth using in deeper fantasy leagues since he is in a timeshare with Pau Gasol. Gasol is still your best bet for fantasy production out of the duo.
Mar 27 - 11:54 PM

Dewayne Dedmon scored two points with five rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes vs. the Wolves on Tuesday.

He was back in the starting lineup at the expense of Davis Bertans, but he was benched at halftime for Pau Gasol. Dedmon was averaging 16.9 minutes per game in March prior to Tuesday, so he's not getting enough playing time to help fantasy owners outside of deeper formats.
Mar 22 - 12:39 AM

Dewayne Dedmon is starting vs. the Wolves on Tuesday.

He came off the bench against the Kings on Sunday, so the Spurs may continue to mix up their lineup depending on the matchups. His minutes will be pretty low regardless of where he starts the game, especially with Pau Gasol healthy.
Mar 21 - 9:29 PM

Dewayne Dedmon came off the bench to begin Sunday's home game, but he started the second half and finished with six points and four boards in 12 minutes.

Davis Bertans started over Dedmon but that experiment didn't go well, as the Spurs fell into an early 12-0 hole vs. the Kings. It was business as usual after halftime, so anyone relying on Dedmon in deep leagues can continue to do so with confidence. Most owners can leave him on the wire, though.
Mar 19 - 10:01 PM

Dewayne Dedmon will shift to the bench on Sunday, with Davis Bertans taking his spot in the starting lineup.

The Spurs have lost two straight and coach Gregg Popovich is mixing it up tonight. He's been a negligible fantasy option with LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol healthy, and the demotion certainly doesn't help.
Mar 19 - 7:05 PM

Dewayne Dedmon scored nine points with seven rebounds and two blocks in 22 minutes against the Warriors on Saturday.

His role shouldn't change too much with coach Gregg Popovich comfortable playing Dedmon in the 18-22 minute range most nights. He does have a higher floor now with LaMarcus Aldridge (heart) out indefinitely, so he's worth a look if you're looking to bolster your blocks.
Mar 12 - 1:00 AM

Dewayne Dedmon played just nine minutes vs. the Rockets on Monday, finishing with zero points and four rebounds.

If you were still holding onto Dedmon before this dud, it's time to let him go. It sounds like he will stick in the starting five, but he hasn't played more than 20 minutes in five straight games. He's a low-end big to own in deeper formats while Pau Gasol is healthy.
Mar 6 - 11:58 PM

Dewayne Dedmon had four points, two rebounds and one turnover in 16 minutes vs. the Pacers on Wednesday.

Gregg Popovich strongly hinted that Dedmon will be the Spurs' permanent starting center. "It just fits ... It gives us the best chance to win basketball games," Pop said. Spurs writer Paul Garcia notes that with Dedmon in the starting five, that unit posts an incredible net rating of +18.9 points per 100 possessions, so it's hard to argue with Pop's logic. Even as a starter, though, he's just a low-end boards, blocks and FG percentage guy while Pau is healthy.
