Troy Daniels (knee) will not play on Saturday against the Rockets due to a Grade 1 MCL sprain.
He is day-to-day with the injury. A Grade 1 MCL sprain is not a very serious injury and usually means very little damage to the ligament. It's too bad he won't get a revenge game, but the Grizzlies will have Chandler Parsons back tonight to get a revenge game of his own. Jan 21 - 4:37 PM

Troy Daniels (knee) will not return on Friday vs. the Kings.

The Grizzlies are calling it a "right knee" injury for now but we should know more after the game. Daniels missed two shots and finished scoreless in eight minutes. Tony Allen should pick up some extra run in the second half.
Jan 20 - 9:21 PM

Troy Daniels scored 13 points with three rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers against the Rockets on Friday.

Revenge game? He hit a clutch three in this game and coach David Fizdale sure does know when to call TD's number. Still, he's not someone most fantasy owners can trust. Just keep an eye on Daniels when a Grizzlies players has to miss time.
Jan 14 - 1:13 AM

Troy Daniels had six points, two 3-pointers and two rebounds in 13 minutes of action vs. Utah on Sunday.

This was an ugly game with an even uglier finish, featuring some egregiously bad calls by the officiating crew, but the Grizzlies won't mind since they came away with a win. Daniels has made at least two 3-pointers in six straight games, which is currently the extent of his value.
Jan 8 - 11:07 PM

Troy Daniels scored 18 points with six triples in just 22 minutes against the Thunder on Thursday.

He's capable of random explosions like these and has four games on the season with 20+ points, but he's just way too volatile for standard-league owners and his minutes are down -- he hasn't played more than 20 minutes in five straight games. He hit 8-of-12 shots from the field in this one and added three boards and two assists, but you should be able to find a better option on your wire.

Troy Daniels hit 5-of-12 shots and four more 3-pointers for 16 points, four rebounds, one assist and a steal in Monday's loss to the Magic.

Daniels is pretty much a boom-or-bust player this season. In his last five games he's scored zero in 11 minutes, 24 with four 3-pointers in 35 minutes, six points in 17 minutes, five points in 10 minutes, and then tonight's 16 points in 20 minutes. In all, he's averaging 18.6 minutes, 10.2 points and 2.2 3-pointers over his last five games. If you pick him up and throw him into a lineup, you'll have to ask yourself, do you feel lucky?

Troy Daniels cooled off in a hurry vs. Detroit on Wednesday with six points on 2-of-9 shooting, one rebound and one steal in just 17 minutes.

Daniels was coming off a 24-point game in 35 minutes, and the only good news tonight is that both of his makes came from downtown. His role is too mercurial to rely on him in standard fantasy leagues, especially now that Chandler Parsons (knee) is back in the rotation.

Troy Daniels hit 8-of-13 shots and four 3-pointers for 24 points, two rebounds and two steals in Tuesday's 112-109 overtime loss to the Celtics.

Daniels played just 11 minutes on Sunday, but has scored in double digits in three of his last four games. He went on a tear in early December, scoring between 19 and 31 points in four straight games, then cooled off with three straight five-point games. He's on his way back, but as you can see by Sunday's line, he's not very trustworthy right now. If you're in a deep league and need a 3-point specialist, he does offer a little more appeal than a guy like Kyle Korver, and it will be interesting to see if he can stay hot on Wednesday at Detroit.

Troy Daniels will come off the bench in Tuesday's game vs. Boston.

Daniels had started Sunday's game, but after a poor first half, James Ennis started the third quarter. Daniels played 11 total minutes on Sunday and failed to record a single point, rebound or assist. James Ennis will start Tuesday night. Daniels can be released back to the waiver wire in standard leagues.

Troy Daniels started Sunday's game but he was replaced by James Ennis to start the third quarter, finishing scoreless with one one turnover and no other stats in 11 minutes.

This was the second game that Memphis started Daniels alongside Mike Conley, Tony Allen, JaMychal Green and Marc Gasol -- it's unlikely to happen a third time. Daniels was marginalized offensively and he really struggled defensively, prompting coach David Fizdale to start Ennis despite a strict minute-limit. If you grabbed Daniels when his starting gig was announced, feel free to return him to the wire.

Troy Daniels will start vs. the Jazz on Sunday.

With Daniels in the starting lineup, Troy Williams will head to the bench. Daniels is averaging 16.5 points and has drained eight 3-pointers in his last two contest. He remains someone that should be avoided in season-long leagues.

Troy Daniels will start Sunday's game vs. the Jazz, shifting Troy Williams to a bench role.

Tony Allen will shift to small forward in a lineup that also includes Daniels, Mike Conley, JaMychal Green and Marc Gasol. The Grizzlies also get James Ennis back from injury tonight, but he'll play limited minutes with the second unit.
Sun, Dec 18, 2016 05:56:00 PM

Troy Daniels led the Grizzlies on Wednesday with 20 points, making 7-of-13 shots with four 3-pointers, two boards, one assist and two turnovers in 22 minutes.

Daniels was slumping badly in his previous four games, averaging 6.3 points on combined 9-of-41 shooting (22.0 percent), so tonight's scoring was an unexpected bonus. He was playing against a gutted Cavaliers team, and his minutes were unimpressive, so most season-long owners should avoid him.
Thu, Dec 15, 2016 01:00:00 AM

Troy Daniels played 22 minutes against the Warriors with five points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer.

He was ill for this game, so maybe that's why he struggled. Plus, Toney Douglas did play more wing minutes tonight while Tony Allen has just been great. Daniels is likely going to see his shot total drop with Vince Carter (hip) getting close. His owners may want to make a move before his value sees a dip.
Sun, Dec 11, 2016 12:23:00 AM

Troy Daniels (illness) will play on Saturday and Vince Carter (right hip) remains out.

Daniels popped up on the injury report with an illness, but he gets the all clear for this game. He's been fantastic lately, but is coming off a bad game on Thursday. He's worth a look if you need treys.
