P.J. Hairston played 19 minutes in his return on Monday with five points, six rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer.
While he does start, Hairston is one of the least valuable starters in fantasy. He can be ignored in most formats. Nov 23 - 11:45 PM

P.J. Hairston (quad) will start against the Kings on Monday.

He suffered his quad injury back on Nov. 15 and likely won't play a lot of minutes. Marvin Williams will play more minutes at power forward with Hairston back. Jeremy Lamb is slightly less appealing with Hairston back. Hairston has very little value.
Nov 23 - 5:25 PM

P.J. Hairston (quad contusion) is questionable for Monday's game vs. the Kings.

After three consecutive games on the shelf, Hairston returned to practice on Sunday and is nearing a return to the court. He was starting at small forward prior to his ankle injury, but he still wasn't producing enough to warrant consideration in fantasy leagues. Leave him on the wire.
Nov 22 - 12:46 PM

P.J. Hairston (quad contusion) will not play on Friday vs. the 76ers.

Hairston might be able to return next week, but he doesn't have any fantasy value despite the fact that he was starting at small forward prior to the injury. Cody Zeller started in place of Hairston on Wednesday with Marvin Williams moving to the three, but Zeller is questionable with an ankle injury which could open the door for Frank Kaminsky.
Nov 20 - 11:18 AM

P.J. Hairston (quad contusion) will miss Wednesday's game against the Nets.

This will be Hairston's second consecutive game on the sidelines, and head coach Steve Clifford implied on Tuesday that he could miss several more games, so he might not be back until November 23. With Hairston sidelined on Tuesday, Clifford gave Cody Zeller the start, but as usual Zeller failed to do anything significant during his 18 minutes of action. Frank Kaminsky could see some more minutes with Hairston out, but he too is ineffective at bringing meaningful numbers to the box score.
Nov 18 - 5:29 PM

P.J. Hairston (quad) could miss several more games according to coach Steve Clifford.

He has already been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Knicks with Marvin Williams drawing the start at small forward. Hairston couldn't emerge as a fantasy asset despite starting, so there is no reason for him to be owned in most leagues moving forward.
Nov 17 - 6:13 PM

P.J. Hairston (right quad contusion) will miss Tuesday's game against the Knicks.

Hairston will be replaced in the starting lineup by Marvin Williams at small forward and Cody Zeller will start at power forward on Tuesday. Jeremy Lamb (shoulder) and Jeremy Lin will also see an increase in minutes for as long as Hairston is out.

Updating a previous item, P.J. Hairston (right quad contusion) is doubtful for Tuesday's game vs. New York.

With Hairston a virtual certainty to sit that contest out, it should be either Jeremy Lamb (left shoulder strain) or Nicolas Batum starting at small forward. If Lamb is out and Batum is forced to move to the 3, Jeremy Lin is the best option to start alongside Kemba Walker in the backcourt.

P.J. Hairston (quad contusion) did not practice on Monday.

After leaving Sunday's game with the injury, Hairston should be considered questionable at best heading into Charlotte's back-to-back set against the Knicks and Nets on Tuesday and Wednesday. Jeremy Lamb (shoulder) could be next in line, but he didn't practice on Monday, either. If both guys are unavailable, the Hornets would likely slide Jeremy Lin in at shooting guard, kicking Nicolas Batum down to start small forward.
Nov 16 - 12:10 PM

P.J. Hairston (quad contusion) will not return to Sunday's game vs. the Blazers.

While the injury doesn't sound serious, the Hornets were comfortably winning this game and may have decided to hold him out as a precaution. Jeremy Lamb started the second half and will benefit if Hairston misses additional time, while Jeremy Lin would see a bump in minutes as well.
Nov 15 - 6:05 PM

P.J. Hairston's migraine didn't prevent him from suiting up vs. the Knicks, finishing a narrow victory with five points, three rebounds, two assists and one block in 26 minutes.

Hairston came in averaging only 17.9 minutes per game, and his PER of 5.66 ranks 298th in the league, just behind Larry Nance Jr. and Wayne Ellington. Needless to say, fantasy owners should avoid him.
Nov 11 - 9:45 PM

P.J. Hairston (migraine) will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Knicks.

This was the expected move, although he still isn't worth owning in most leagues. Kemba Walker, Nicolas Batum, Marvin Williams and Al Jefferson will join Hairston in the starting unit for tonight's matchup with the Knicks.

P.J. Hairston (migraine) will be available to play Wednesday vs. the Knicks.

He'll more than likely start, but he offers almost zero fantasy value. Jeremy Lamb and Jeremy Lin are the better plays tonight.
Nov 11 - 6:03 PM

P.J. Hairston (migraine) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Knicks.

If Hairston isn't able to give it a go, look for Jeremy Lamb and Jeremy Lin to split his minutes. Lamb is currently on a hot streak, so he'd make sense as a punt play in daily leagues if Hairston is indeed sidelined on Wednesday.
Nov 11 - 5:28 PM

P.J. Hairston (migraine) is questionable to play against the Knicks on Wednesday.

He started on Tuesday and could not return after leaving the game. Jeremy Lamb is the hottest he's ever been in the regular season, but he's still a risky play sans Hairston. Jeremy Lin would also get more minutes.
