Tyler Ennis took advantage of expanded minutes on Sunday to post a season-high 14 points (6-of-15 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs) with five assists, four steals and three rebounds in 26 minutes.
Ennis was a big winner in the rotation tonight as the only true guard in the second unit. He hit season-highs in nearly every category and benefited from L.A.'s unusual rotations in a blowout loss without Brandon Ingram (knee). We'll need to see a few more solid performances before approaching him as a fantasy pickup. Mar 27 - 12:53 AM

Tyler Ennis (left shoulder) will be available to play Tuesday vs. the Clippers.

Ennis tweaked his shoulder during Monday's practice, but it's not going to be something that forces him to the sidelines. That being said, Ennis has been a non-factor in the rotation as of late, so whether he plays or not will be irrelevant in fantasy hoops.

Tyler Ennis tweaked his left shoulder during Monday's practice and he'll be re-evaluated on Tuesday.

Ennis wasn't able to finish the scrimmage portion of Monday's practice following the shoulder tweak, so there's a chance he could be forced to the sidelines on Tuesday night. That being said, Ennis has been a negligible part of the rotation over the past three, so his potential absence from the rotation won't have any real consequences in fantasy hoops.
Mar 20 - 4:15 PM

Tyler Ennis played 16 minutes off the bench on Sunday, finishing with eight points on 3-of-5 shooting, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Ennis was initially reported as the starter in place of Nick Young, but that honor went to David Nwaba instead. Nwaba also played 16 minutes tonight so there's no big reason to favor one of these guys over the other in deep leagues -- Ennis might get the edge since he's on a guaranteed contract, while Nwaba is on a 10-day deal.
Mar 13 - 1:00 AM

Tyler Ennis scored five points in his Lakers' debut on Sunday, adding one rebound, one 3-pointer, two assists and one steal in eight minutes off the bench.

As long as Jordan Clarkson and D'Angelo Russell are healthy, Ennis will remain a non-factor in fantasy hoops.

Tyler Ennis will be available on Sunday vs. the Spurs.

The Lakers have waived Marcelo Huertas and they are negotiating a buyout with Jose Calderon, so Ennis will get the chance to be the backup PG in LA behind D'Angelo Russell. The Lakers could very easily use Jordan Clarkson there as well, so it's not a lock that Ennis will see more than a handful of minutes. He's not a pickup in standard leagues.
Feb 26 - 1:51 PM

Tyler Ennis said he's been close with Jordan Clarkson since their draft workouts.

"I think we have chemistry right off the bat," Ennis said. Perhaps the Lakers get a look at Tyler Ennis in the second unit due to their lack of depth. With Jose Calderon likely to be bought out and Clarkson playing a lot more two than one, maybe Ennis gets in the rotation. He's not an add almost anywhere unless D'Angelo Russell needs to miss time.

Tyler Ennis (trade) will not play Friday night vs. OKC

Ennis is expected to make his Lakers debut Sunday vs. the Spurs. The Rockets traded Ennis in order to shed salary. Ennis has not played well since being drafted 18th overall out of Syracuse in the 2014 draft. This season he is averaging just 1.9 points and 1.1 assists in 6.3 minutes. The Lakers are his fourth team in less than three years. Ennis can be left on the waiver wire.
Feb 24 - 12:57 PM

Tyler Ennis has been traded to the Lakers for Marcelo Huertas, according to The Vertical.

The Rockets continue to shed some money to now get them under the cap. Ennis could get minutes once guys like Jose Calderon are bought out, but frankly he hasn't been very good.
Feb 23 - 2:54 PM

The Rockets will not pick up Tyler Ennis' fourth-year option.

This means that Ennis will become a free agent next summer. He's averaging 12.0 minutes per game as the backup PG in Houston, but should fall out of the rotation once Patrick Beverley (knee) returns.

Updating a previous item, The Vertical is now reporting that the Rockets have chosen to keep Tyler Ennis.

Earlier in the day, The Vertical reported that Ennis would be waived. Now, reports indicate that Houston will instead let go of Pablo Prigioni and keep Ennis.

The Rockets plan to waive G Tyler Ennis but may end up negotiating a new deal when/if he clears waivers, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.

The Rockets have to waive one more player in order to get down to the 15-man limit. Ennis, the 18th overall pick in the 2014 draft, hasn't made much of an impression over his first two years in the NBA, averaging just 4.1 points and 2.1 assists.

Tyler Ennis scored six points with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one turnover in 21 minutes on Friday.

He had a chance to get into the rotation, but he didn't really help himself. Ennis will have to battle with Pablo Prigioni for minutes, but there likely won't be enough minutes to matter anyway.

Nene, Ryan Anderson, K.J. McDaniels, Corey Brewer and Tyler Ennis will start on Friday.

Nene isn't going to play a lot with the Rockets giving their guys a night off. This will be a big chance for Ennis to show he can get in the rotation behind James Harden while Pat Beverley (knee) is on the shelf.

Rockets GM Daryl Morey said he had targeted Tyler Ennis in the 2014 draft.

The Rockets acquired Ennis from the Bucks in exchange for Michael Beasley on Friday, and Morey indicated that he will have a chance to crack the rotation. "He's a guy we've always had our eye on, that has an ability to pass," Morey said. "He definitely has a real chance to step up." It's not out of the question to think that Ennis could pass Pablo Prigioni on the depth chart, but Patrick Beverley is still the overwhelming favorite to start. Deep-league owners can just keep an eye on Ennis for now.
