Kyle Anderson played 22 minutes off the bench and had 11 points, a 3-pointer, six rebounds, four assists and a block on 2-of-4 shooting in Tuesday's 105-91 win over the Timberwolves.
Anderson had scored a total of six points in his previous four games, so don't get too excited. But with Danny Green scoring just five points last night, and averaging just 7.5 points in his 13 games this season, Anderson is worth keeping an eye on in case Gregg Popovich grows tired of Green's struggles. But for now, Anderson belongs on waivers, along with Green. Dec 7 - 12:03 AM

Kyle Anderson started in place of Danny Green (rest) on Friday vs. the Pistons, scoring eight points with six rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes.

He didn't make the most of his opportunity early on in the season, so despite the decent performance tonight, his minutes will be unpredictable moving forward. Anderson will return to the bench on Saturday vs. Houston.
Nov 11 - 11:56 PM

Kyle Anderson shifted to the bench on Wednesday, where he went scoreless on 0-of-2 shooting with five boards and one steal in 13 minutes.

Slo-Mo didn't do much with his season-opening opportunity as a starter, averaging just 2.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals in 22.7 minutes. Suffice to say, this move to the Spurs' bench isn't likely to revive his fantasy appeal.
Nov 10 - 12:30 AM

Kyle Anderson will move to the bench on Wednesday.

The Spurs haven't got much out of Anderson this season. Coach Gregg Popovich was really high on him going into camp, but nothing came to fruition.
Nov 9 - 7:48 PM

Kyle Anderson had a 0.0 usage rate in 16 minutes on Saturday with two rebounds, two assists and one steal.

He has a 7.6 usage rate this season. Here's something to process: Joel Embiid's usage rate (39.7) is 5.2 times greater than his. There's just no upside here.
Nov 6 - 12:19 AM

Patty Mills, Kyle Anderson, Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol will start against the Clippers on Saturday.

The Spurs haven't lost with Anderson in the starting lineup, so the move makes sense. He doesn't have much value in fantasy, though.
Nov 5 - 8:26 PM

Kyle Anderson moved back into the starting lineup on Friday vs. the Jazz, but was held to two points on 1-of-3 shooting.

He's just not producing right now and added three boards, one assist and four steals in 24 minutes. We are waiting for either Anderson or Jonathon Simmons to run away with the starting job until Danny Green (thigh) returns, but they have been very inconsistent and neither player is worth holding onto in standard leagues for now.
Nov 5 - 12:13 AM

Kyle Anderson will start against the Jazz on Friday over Jonathon Simmons.

Simmons had a rough night against the Jazz on Tuesday, so coach Gregg Popovich will go the bigger Anderson. Slo-Mo's usage rate isn't high enough to trust in most leagues.
Nov 4 - 7:35 PM

Kyle Anderson scored two points in 27 minutes against the Kings on Thursday, adding eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.

That's another tiny usage with just two shots from the field, but the playing time increased with coach Pop wanting more size against the Kings. Anderson lights up Las Vegas Summer League like the strip, but he's only sitting on a career 14.0 usage rate in his NBA career. That might even be a bit high because most of his minutes are with backups. Even his short-term upside doesn't look to promising.
Oct 28 - 1:52 AM

Kyle Anderson will start against the Kings on Thursday.

Jonathon Simmons was all the rage on Tuesday and should be effective off the bench again. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Simmons is a much better player to own and he should have another great chance against a suspect Kings defense. We'll let you know how both fare tonight.
Oct 27 - 9:51 PM

Kyle Anderson started in place of injured Danny Green (thigh) on Tuesday, but had just three points and four rebounds in 22 minutes.

Manu Ginobili played pretty well and made a much bigger impact than Anderson, while Jonathan Simmons was the no-name Spur that caught everyone's eye tonight. Ignore Anderson and target Tony Parker, Ginobili or Simmons off your waiver wire.
Oct 26 - 1:33 AM

Tony Parker, Kyle Anderson, Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol will start vs. the Warriors on Tuesday.

As expected, Anderson will start in place of Danny Green (thigh), who is expected to miss about three weeks of action. The Spurs are the only team to play four times in Week 1.
Oct 25 - 9:51 PM

Kyle Anderson will be in the starting lineup for Tuesday's regular-season opener against the Warriors with Danny Green (thigh) unavailable.

Anderson is going to draw a very tough matchup tonight, so it'll be interesting to see what he can do going up against Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant. While Anderson could struggle to produce, Thompson could have himself a very nice game tonight. The Spurs do start the year with a four-game week, so picking up Anderson for streaming purposes does make sense.
Oct 25 - 3:05 PM

Spurs exercise the fourth-year contract option on F Kyle Anderson.

This was just a formality and was never really in doubt. Anderson is expected to begin the season with a larger role because Danny Green (thigh) will be out of the lineup.
Oct 22 - 2:20 PM

Kyle Anderson said he's ready to step up with Danny Green (thigh) on the shelf.

"I’ve played this game for a long time and I feel I can play a lot of different positions," Anderson said. "If the coaches have faith in me, of course, I’m going to have faith in myself." Coach Gregg Popovich has been looking for more minutes for Anderson and added that the forward has a "good feel for the game," so he's the favorite to slide into the starting unit for the first three weeks of the season. The Spurs are the only team with four games in Week 1, so he's not a bad streaming option after scoring 10 points with four rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 20 minutes on Friday. On a side note, the Spurs exercised their team option to extend Anderson's contract on Friday.
