Kyle Anderson did not score with three rebounds and one assist in 11 minutes during his start against the Warriors on Saturday.
Not great. He had a tough time against Kevin Durant and Anderson wasn't looking to get involved on offense. He also didn't start the second half with Rudy Gay taking over for him. After a strong season, Anderson's minutes could drop in Game 2. Apr 14 - 5:33 PM

Dejounte Murray, Patty Mills, Danny Green, Kyle Anderson and LaMarcus Aldridge will start against the Warriors in Game 1.

The Spurs will stick with their smaller unit to match up with the Warriors. It'll be interesting to see how they defend Kevin Durant, but it figures to be a team approach with some Anderson and Murray on KD. Expect Anderson to get solid minutes throughout this series.
Apr 14 - 2:51 PM

Kyle Anderson dished out a team-high five assists during Sunday's 100-83 win over the Rockets, adding five points, one rebound, two steals and one block over 25 minutes.

Anderson played some phenomenal defense against James Harden, and as an added bonus for 9-cat owners, he finished the game without a single turnover. Anderson isn’t the most exciting guy to own, but his ability to rack up the defensive stats at an elite level without really hurting you anywhere gives him some deep league appeal.
Apr 1 - 6:34 PM

Kyle Anderson struggled in Sunday's 106-103 loss to Milwaukee, scoring six points on 3-of-6 shooting to go with six rebounds, one steal and two turnovers in 24 minutes.

Aside from LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol, most of the Spurs struggled to be effective in this one, and Patty Mills didn't do much to help the cause going 1-of-6 from the field on his way to four points, one 3-pointer, two assists and one turnover. Rudy Gay wasn't very good either, finishing with 10 points, seven boards and one steal across 18 minutes, and with so many players on the Spurs side struggling, their six-game win streak came to an end.
Mar 25 - 6:46 PM

Kyle Anderson made 7-of-8 shots en route to 16 points on Wednesday, adding four rebounds, four assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes.

This was Anderson's highest-scoring game since mid-February, and the second time in over a month that he's attempted double-digit shots. With a usage rate of just 12.1% since the All-Star break, he's nearly useless in most points-leagues. It's been a different story in 8-cat and 9-cat leagues, though, thanks to his 5.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.7 blocks and value-anchoring 2.2 steals.
Mar 22 - 12:19 AM

Kyle Anderson scored 12 points with 11 rebounds, four assists and five steals against the Warriors on Thursday.

Make it back-to-back games with five steals for Slo Mo and he's been especially hot there with 15 total swipes in his last five. In that span, he's averaged 9.0 points, 6.2 boards, 3.8 assists and 0.8 blocks. He'll cool off because he won't add much on offense, but he should be owned in standard leagues.
Mar 9 - 1:21 AM

Kyle Anderson ended Saturday's game against the Lakers with eight points, going a perfect 4-of-4 from the field.

Anderson also tacked on five assists, four rebounds and two steals with just one turnover across 22 minutes. Rudy Gay saw more minutes off the bench, but he wasn't nearly as effective. Even though Anderson outplayed Gay statistically, there is no way he'll see more minutes than the veteran. He'll look to keep it going on Monday against the visiting Grizzlies, the first contest in a three-game week.
Mar 4 - 12:25 AM

Kyle Anderson tied his career high with three blocks vs. Cleveland on Sunday, adding 10 points, six rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals.

Anderson shot 4-of-7 from the field without any turnovers in 30 minutes of action. He's not a flashy fantasy option and doesn't offer much in points leagues, but roto owners appreciate his sneaky value. He's managed to post mid-round value with season averages of 8.2 points (52.0% FGs, 74.1% FTs), 0.2 threes, 5.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.8 blocks and just 1.4 turnovers. Just be aware that the Spurs only play twice next week.
Feb 25 - 6:57 PM

Kyle Anderson posted 20 points over 30 minutes in Saturday's 122-105 loss at Golden State.

Anderson and LaMarcus Aldridge tied for a team high in points, and Anderson was a very efficient 9-of-13 from the field while posting six rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocked shots. The only hole in his game on Saturday was his ugly 2-of-5 night from the free-throw stripe and his four turnovers. He'll look to keep up the good work on Monday at Utah.
Feb 10 - 11:06 PM

Kyle Anderson didn't score in 19 minutes on Wednesday, going 0-of-2 from the field with five boards and four assists.

Anderson's fantasy owners shouldn't read into tonight's quiet line. The Spurs won by 48 points, three shy of the franchise record for the largest margin of victory, and Gregg Popovich wound up playing 13 different players at least 11 minutes. Rudy Gay (heel) is expected back after the All-Star break, but Anderson projects as a mid-round roto option with Kawhi Leonard (quad) out indefinitely.
Feb 8 - 1:37 AM

Kyle Anderson was good for eight points on 4-of-6 shooting across 20 minutes in Saturday's loss against the Jazz.

Anderson also chipped in with three rebounds, three steals and an assist, as he continues to get a chance with Kawhi Leonard on the shelf. He is averaging 11.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocked shots over the past three outings. He remains useful in deeper fantasy formats.
Feb 4 - 12:07 AM

Kyle Anderson hit 9-of-12 shots for 18 points, four rebounds, five assists, a steal and two blocks in 35 minutes of Tuesday's win over the Nuggets.

He was slumping badly, scoring a grand total of 11 points over his previous three games, while really struggling with steals and blocks in his previous two. He righted the ship tonight and Kawhi Leonard is nowhere to be found in a lost season, meaning Anderson should get a ton of opportunity the rest of the way. If he was dumped in your league during his three-game funk, you might be able to get him. Even with the slump, he's still averaging 7.8 points, 5.2 boards, 3.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks on 54 percent shooting over his last five games.
Jan 31 - 12:20 AM

Kyle Anderson was benched to begin the second half on Sunday, finishing a home win vs. the Kings with two points on 1-of-1 shooting, four assists and three rebounds in 21 minutes.

Anderson was also yanked in the fourth quarter after San Antonio gave up a quick pair of 3-pointers to George Hill and Vince Carter. He didn't re-enter the game until garbage time, and it looks like Gregg Popovich was sending him a message. Anderson has been raking in the defensive stats as mid-round roto value for the past month, so owners shouldn't overreact.
Jan 28 - 11:27 PM

Kyle Anderson scored only five points on 2-of-7 shooting on Wednesday, but he chipped in three rebounds, one assist, four steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes.

Rudy Gay (heel) is out a few more weeks, Kawhi Leonard (quad) is out indefinitely, and now there are rumors that Kawhi wants the Spurs to trade him. Anderson is a steady mid-round roto value while Kawhi is off the court, so owners should just hold him and see how this plays out.
Jan 25 - 12:12 AM

Kyle Anderson played 34 minutes and hit 5-of-10 shots for 10 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block in Tuesday's 114-102 win over the Cavaliers on Tuesday.

Anderson guarded LeBron James for much of the night and had his fourth double-double of the season. He's played really well in his last three games, averaging 8.3 points, 10.3 boards, 3.7 assists, 2.7 steals, 2.3 blocks and 1.0 3-pointers over that stretch. And with Kawhi Leonard out until further notice, and with Anderson's confidence soaring, he should be one of the hottest pickups in fantasy hoops right now.
