Kyle Anderson (illness) will play against the Magic on Wednesday.
He missed Tuesday due to an illness. With Tim Duncan (knee) back tonight, Anderson is less likely to be a contributor unless it gets to garbage time. Although, it makes it slightly less likely we see extra Jonathon Simmons. Feb 10 - 2:16 PM

Kyle Anderson (illness) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Heat.

With Anderson on the sidelines, there will be more minutes available for David West and Boris Diaw. None of these guys can be considered viable targets in standard leagues.
Feb 9 - 6:04 PM

Gregg Popovich is unafraid to give Kyle Anderson regular minutes in the rotation.

"We’re giving [Simmons] and Kyle minutes to try and prepare them to become real pros and real contributors in the league," Popovich said. Despite a regular role of 15-20 minutes over his last six games, Slo-Mo is not a fantasy option in any format.
Feb 1 - 10:54 AM

Kyle Anderson made a start against the Rockets on Wednesday with seven points, three rebounds and one assist in 16 minutes.

Anderson did a very nice job on defense against James Harden, but he really just got a spot-start here with the Spurs matching the small-ball Houston lineup. The 2015 Summer League MVP can be left on the wire in basically every league.
Jan 28 - 12:39 AM

Kyle Anderson will start against the Rockets on Wednesday.

The Spurs are going small and moving David West to the bench. Anderson may have to guard James Harden a bit tonight, but he still shouldn't be a big factor in this game. Besides Kawhi Leonard, there aren't many great Spurs targets unless it's garbage-time Boban.
Jan 27 - 7:57 PM

Kyle Anderson played 17 minutes against the Nets on Monday with five points, four rebounds, there assists and one turnover.

He was ahead of Jonathon Simmons in the rotation for tonight. Of course, Anderson is going to need Kawhi Leonard to miss time in order to have value in almost any league.
Jan 11 - 10:13 PM

Kyle Anderson started the second half on Wednesday, finishing with 13 points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one turnover in 19 minutes.

He started for Kawhi Leonard as coach Gregg Popovich rested his guys a little more tonight. Anderson isn't a pickup after this one.
Jan 7 - 12:59 AM

Kyle Anderson scored seven points in a start against the 76ers on Monday with five rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes.

It was not even close to the productive start back on Nov. 14. Kawhi Leonard (illness) should be back for Wednesday against the Raptors, so Anderson can remain on the waiver wire in most leagues.

Kyle Anderson will start on Monday vs. the 76ers.

Kawhi Leonard is out with an illness after "eating a bad Philly cheese steak sandwich," so Anderson is looking at big minutes. He had 10 points with seven boards, three assists, three steals, one block and two 3-pointers in a start vs. Philly earlier this season, so he's worth a look in daily leagues.

Kyle Anderson was terrific in a start against the 76ers during a 92-83 win on Saturday, scoring 10 points with seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block and two 3-pointers.

That's the type of production we saw out of Slo Mo in Summer League. He can fill it up in several categories and he'd probably be a starting small forward on several teams. He has Kawhi Leonard ahead of him in San Antonio.

Kyle Anderson will start in place of Kawhi Leonard (illness) on Saturday.

Slo Mo was one of the best players in Summer League and he'll get his best chance tonight. With Manu Ginobili (groin) also out, he should have a lot of chances to make plays. Anderson is certainly a risky play with coach Gregg Popovich calling the shots, but he does have upside for stuffing the stat sheet.

Kyle Anderson said he doesn't view himself at a certain position, instead thinking of himself as a "complete player that can play many positions."

Anderson admitted that "everything" surprised him when he first arrived in the NBA, but he's been able to learn a lot from his veteran teammates. On a stacked San Antonio roster, Anderson will not make a fantasy impact this season.

The Spurs have exercised Kyle Anderson's team option.

Anderson didn't play much last season, but he was phenomenal during the offseason and Gregg Popovich rewarded him with 13 minutes in the season opener. He could have a limited role off the bench moving forward, but he won't make an impact in fantasy leagues any time soon.

Gregg Popovich praised Kyle Anderson for his ability to pass the basketball.

"Well, Kyle makes everybody better," Popovich said. "He is a heck of a passer. He really sees the floor. That's something you can't coach. Some guys have it; some don't. He's really a smart player. He's going to play a variety of positions during the season." The Spurs are loaded at every position, making Slo-Mo a difficult fantasy sell despite intriguing potential.

Kyle Anderson said that he is hoping to impress the Spurs with his defense.

"The thing I’m excited about the most is my defense," Anderson said. "The points are going to come. I’m not going to go out there and score 20 points during the regular season. My focus is on defense." Anderson also went on to say that he is looking to speed his game up. "I do try to speed it up a little bit because that’s what they asked me for in San Antonio, but I just play my game, just be unselfish." Anderson was named the Summer League MVP, and while he has showed a lot of potential it won't be easy for him to get substantial minutes while Kawhi Leonard is healthy.
