Grizzlies reporter Michael Wallace is reporting that Wayne Selden (right knee soreness) and Chandler Parsons (knee) will be shut down for the remainder of the season.
According to Wallace, both players will miss the final four games of the season to undergo orthobiologic knee injections later this week on the West Coast. The procedure is expected to alleviate knee soreness both players have battled much of the season. Seldon should obviously be dropped in any league he's owned. MarShon Brooks and Ben McLemore will continue to log extended minutes. Apr 6 - 12:12 PM

Wayne Selden (right knee soreness) will not play Friday against the Kings.

He has shown some flashes this season, but injuries to his quad and knee have kept him off the court too often. MarShon Brooks should be the go-to scorer.
Apr 5 - 6:06 PM

Wayne Selden (sore right knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.

Soreness in Selden's right knee has been an ongoing issue this season, so don't be surprised if he sits this one out with Memphis playing for Ping-Pong balls. Ben McLemore could be flirting with around 30 minutes on Wednesday night, putting him on the deep league radar.
Apr 3 - 6:33 PM

Wayne Selden chipped in 10 points (4-of-8 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs), two assists, one steal and one rebound in 23 minutes on Wednesday.

It wasn't a great line, but Selden once again hit double-digit scoring -- he's scored 10+ points in six of the past seven games, after doing it just 10 times previously in his career. He doesn't offer much versatility, though, and will need to be extremely efficient to hold value with minutes in the mid-20s. Given his current role, he's best suited to deeper formats.

Mar 28 - 11:20 PM

Wayne Selden scored a team-high 23 points in a 101-93 win over the Wolves on Monday, hitting 9-of-14 shots and 1-of-1 free throws.

Selden also dished out four assists with one rebound, three steals and four triples. He's had some trouble staying healthy this season and that could keep his minutes limited to the 20s, but he was already trending up before this outburst. He's now played 20+ minutes in six straight, averaging 16.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.5 triples in that span. Give him a look if you need wing help as the Grizzlies have three more games this week.
Mar 26 - 10:43 PM

Wayne Selden scored 16 points with one rebound, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes against the Hornets on Thursday.

He scored the ball well in the first quarter and picked up several buckets in garbage time. Selden's quad injury looks to be behind him and playing in a back-to-back bodes well for him. He could be an option when the Grizzlies rest guys, which will happen a lot.
Mar 22 - 9:14 PM

Wayne Selden came off the bench and hit 7-of-15 shots and three 3-pointers for 17 points, three rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes on Monday.

Tyreke Evans was a late scratch and Selden stepped up with a solid game for the second straight time. He had 16 points, three boards, one assist, a steal, a block and four 3-pointers on Saturday, but will only be worth using if Evans continues to sit for the tanking Grizzlies. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of sure bets in Memphis right now, as the NBA enters the peak of its silly season.
Mar 19 - 11:13 PM

Wayne Selden scored 16 points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers in 22 minutes against the Nuggets on Saturday.

It's been since January that Selden was turning heads in the NBA and he hasn't scored in double digits since January, too. Maybe he can get hot, but obviously he needs to show he can stay healthy before signing off on him as a pickup.
Mar 17 - 11:22 PM

Wayne Selden (knee) returned to action on Monday vs. the Spurs, playing just 15 minutes with two points, two assists and a turnover.

Even with the Grizzlies banged up, Selden may not be able to get much run because he's having trouble staying on the floor himself. The opportunity is there with Tyreke Evans (ribs) day-to-day and Andrew Harrison (wrist) and Mario Chalmers (hamstring) expected to miss at least a week, but Selden can be left on the wire for now.
Mar 5 - 11:13 PM

Wayne Selden (knee) will not play against the Magic on Saturday, but he is expected to play Monday.

He only played 10 minutes on Friday and he's still not well enough to play today. It'll be really tough to count on Selden over the long haul. Kobi Simmons and Mario Chalmers will be picking up the PG minutes tonight.
Mar 3 - 5:45 PM

Wayne Selden (right knee soreness) is questionable for Saturday's contest vs. Orlando.

Selden was also questionable for Friday's game vs. Denver, but this is the second night of a back-to-back set, and that could certainly impact his availability given that he just returned to action after three weeks on the sidelines. Even if Selden does play, we don't expect more 10-15 minutes at best. With Tyreke Evans (rib) and Andrew Harrison (wrist) having already been ruled out, Mario Chalmers and Ben McLemore should be incredibly busy.

Wayne Selden scored three points with three rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer on 1-of-6 from the field over his 10 minutes of action against the Nuggets on Friday.

He made his return for the first time since Feb. 10 and the Grizzlies did indeed keep his minutes down. Maybe Selden gets his minutes increased on Saturday, but of course he could also get the night off. Leave him on the wire until we find out what the plan is for Saturday.
Mar 2 - 10:30 PM

Wayne Selden (knee) will play on Friday night against the Nuggets.

He will be playing limited minutes after missing time since Feb. 10. Selden has been productive when given a chance, but the Grizzlies haven't had him healthy for most of the season. He should be busy in his limited minutes with Andrew Harrison and Tyreke Evans out tonight. Mario Chalmers will also get some decent run.
Mar 2 - 6:24 PM

Coach JB Bickerstaff said that Wayne Selden (knee) is expected to play Friday vs. the Nuggets.

Selden has missed six straight games, but appears on track to return to the lineup Friday night. With Tyreke Evans (ribs) and Chandler Parsons (illness) already ruled out, and Andrew Harrison (wrist) listed as questionable, the Grizz may be shorthanded on Friday. However, Memphis will likely keep Selden on a minutes cap if he is cleared to play.
Mar 2 - 12:12 PM

Wayne Selden (knee) is questionable to play against the Nuggets on Friday.

If Selden can shake his nagging right-leg injuries, there's a chance he gets in the starting lineup with Andrew Harrison (wrist) also on the injury report. If not and Harrison is out, Kobi Simmons would likely be looking at his biggest opportunity with Mario Chalmers also getting more run.
