Wayne Selden Jr. (quad) is out for at least two weeks.
He is continuing to rehab his right quad tendinopathy, which has kept him out out the NBA lineup since the preseason. Apparently, quad tendinopathy is the most mysterious NBA injury this year with Kawhi Leonard (quad) also dealing with this issue. Nov 29 - 6:14 PM

Nov 25 - 5:29 PM

Wayne Selden Jr. (right quad) is out for Friday against the Nuggets.

The team is in no rush to bring him back and this quad injury has been an issue for over a month. Ben McLemore and Tyreke Evans are way ahead of Selden and he would need an injury to get minutes.
Nov 23 - 6:55 PM

Wayne Selden (right quad) has been ruled out of Wednesday's game vs. the Mavs.

This will be the third straight game Selden has missed. However, Selden hasn't been a part of the Memphis rotation even when he's been healthy, so there is no fantasy impact to note here.
Nov 21 - 5:56 PM

Wayne Selden (right quad) is listed as 'out' for Monday's game vs. Portland.

Selden hasn't been part of the rotation and Ben McLemore is ahead of him in the rotation, so his absence doesn't have any fantasy implications.
Nov 19 - 5:58 PM

Wayne Selden (right quad) will not play on Saturday vs. the Rockets.

He just returned to action this week, but it's not clear if he suffered a setback or if the Grizzlies are just resting him. Either way, Selden can't be trusted with Tyreke Evans absolutely rolling.
Nov 17 - 6:22 PM

Wayne Selden (right quad) returned to action on Saturday with five points, one 3-pointer, one rebound, one assist and one turnover in four minutes.

Selden only played in garbage time and he's not a guy to own while Tyreke Evans, Ben McLemore and impressive rookie Dillon Brooks are all healthy. That said, he's had impressive stretches both last season and over the summer, so keep him in mind if injuries thin out the Grizzlies' rotation.
Nov 11 - 10:49 PM

Wayne Selden is behind Ben McLemore in the rotation for now.

He was a summer league star, but a quad injury in the preseason slowed him down. If any of the Grizzlies wings need to miss time, Selden will likely be an understudy.
Nov 11 - 7:38 PM

Wayne Selden (quad) practiced on Thursday and will play for the Grizzlies’ G League affiliate, Memphis Hustle, on Friday night.

Selden has yet to appear in a game this season but is inching closer to a return. "I’m getting back healthy now. I’m happy to get back out there," said Selden. "Practicing (Thursday) was big for me. To be able to get out there and play will be big." Selden played well late last season and was impressive in summer league, but it will be tough for him to find much playing time considering how well Tyreke Evans and Dillon Brooks have been performing this season.
Nov 10 - 9:21 AM

Wayne Selden (quad) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Blazers.

He's been out since early October, but the Grizzlies did announce recently that he's making progress and is day-to-day. Selden was great at the Summer League, but may not have a spot in the rotation right away with Dillon Brooks and Tyreke Evans playing well.
Nov 6 - 8:00 PM

Wayne Selden (quad) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lakers.

He's getting close, but he might not have a spot in the rotation once he's back with how well Tyreke Evans and Dillon Brooks have performed in his absence. Selden belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Nov 5 - 2:37 PM

The Grizzlies announced on Tuesday that Wayne Selden (right quad) is progressing back into limited practice activities and that his status remains day-to-day.

Earlier in the day on Tuesday, David Fizdale confirmed that Selden was close to returning to game action. However, even when fully healthy, Selden will have limited fantasy appeal due to the Grizzlies excess depth at shooting guard and small forward.

Oct 31 - 7:30 PM

David Fizdale said that Wayne Selden (right quad) is close to a return.

Selden went down with this quad injury during the preseason and has yet to make his regular-season debut, but depending on his activity level over the next few days, maybe he'll be able to get out there for Wednesday's game against the Magic. However, he may have lost his spot in the rotation to Dillon Brooks, so there's no reason to make a speculative pickup here.
Oct 31 - 3:07 PM

Wayne Selden (right quad) will not suit up for Monday's game against the Hornets.

Selden has yet to make his season debut, and it's not all that clear if he's close to getting out there. Dillon Brooks and Tyreke Evans will continue to split the backcourt minutes, with Evans being the more attractive option of the two. Selden belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.
