Grizzlies head coach Dave Joerger spoke highly of rookie Jordan Adams during a recent interview, saying he's gotten much better as a shooter.
Adams was used sparingly during his rookie season, averaging just 8.3 minutes, 3.1 points and 0.3 three-pointers a game on 40.7 percent shooting from the field. He did, however, have a very nice outing towards the end of the regular-season, going off for 19 points with two 3-pointers. The Grizzlies seriously need to add some 3-point shooting to their roster if they hope to compete at a championship level in today's NBA, and perhaps Adams could fill that role for Memphis. We'll be tracking his progress this offseason, but until he becomes a regular part of the rotation, he won't have any standard league value. May 22 - 2:03 PM

Jordan Adams scored 19 points off the bench in Monday's loss, hitting 6-of-15 shots (including two threes) with two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 21 minutes.

Adams helped bring the team back in the fourth quarter but it's unclear if he'll get any run on Wednesday against the Pacers, who will be playing for their playoff lives. The Grizzlies can still move up in the seeding and all bets are off if any of the injured guys return. Russ Smith's 16 points, two boards, four assists, one steal and one three in just 10 minutes are even more fluky.

Jordan Adams scored a career-high 13 points against the Jazz on Tuesday, adding one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes.

The minutes were also a career-high for the rookie, but Adams got extended run off the bench because Tony Allen was suspended and Beno Udrih was sidelined with an illness. Adams has a bright future in the NBA, but he isn't going to be a key part of the Memphis rotation this season. Leave Adams on the wire.

The Grizzlies recalled G Jordan Adams from the D-League.

Nothing to see here, and Adams should be on the waiver wire in all formats.
Feb 9 - 9:38 AM

Jordan Adams (ankle) was assigned to the NBA D-League on Saturday.

Adams has a bright future in the NBA, but he likely won't crack the rotation in Memphis this season. It's safe to leave Adams on the wire in almost all leagues.
Feb 7 - 2:04 PM

Jordan Adams (sore left ankle) is doubtful for Wednesday's game vs. Utah.

Adams didn't play on Monday and he's appeared in only 14 games for the Grizzlies, while bouncing between the NBA and the D-League. His likely absence won't impact any fantasy lineups.
Feb 4 - 5:41 PM

Jordan Adams, Jarnell Stokes, and Russ Smith have all been sent down for a D-League stint.

None of these guys are going to have much value in Memphis this season as long as the Grizzlies' main guys are healthy. Leave them on the wire.
Jan 20 - 7:03 PM

Jordan Adams scored a career-high 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting in just six minutes against the Nuggets on Saturday, adding one board and one 3-pointer.

Garbage time was obviously a factor here, but Adams flashed his potential and made the most out of his opportunity. However, the Grizzlies have been reluctant to give the rookie playing time this season and unless his role grows he won't be worth owning in almost any league.
Jan 4 - 12:34 AM

Jordan Adams and Jarnell Stokes have been recalled from the D-League on Sunday.

They will be at the end of the Memphis bench and won't see much action. They can both be ignored in almost all leagues.

The Grizzlies have sent Jordan Adams down for another D-League stint.

The only headlines that Adams makes are his send-downs and call-ups from the D-League. He'll get some experience down there, but he has zero fantasy value.

He'll go back to the end of the Memphis bench.

Jordan Adams played the first regular season minutes of his NBA career during Monday's blowout win against the Rockets.

Adams and fellow rookie Jarnell Stokes both got their first taste of regular season action during the blowout win. "You could tell they were nervous," said teammate Vince Carter. "And that’s what makes it fun for us to see those guys." While Monday was a nice step for the rookies, neither warrants a spot on any fantasy rosters.

Coach Joerger said on Tuesday that Jordan Adams is unlikely to crack the rotation this season.

"Jordan Adams is much deeper down with the number of guys we have at the wing," Joerger said. Adams had a lot of hype coming into preseason when he was selected by the Grizzlies with the 22nd pick of the 2014 draft, but it appears we won't get a chance to see him in action anytime soon. He can be ignored in almost all leagues and will likely spend a lot of time in the D-League this season.

Jordan Adams and Jarnell Stokes will return from the D-League and rejoin the Grizzlies for Sunday's game.

They are going to float between the D-League and the Grizzlies at least for the near future and neither player will likely be in the rotation soon. You can safely ignore both players in almost all formats. However, keep an eye on Adams if an injury strikes in Memphis due to his upside.

Jordan Adams hit 6-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 13 points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal off the bench on Tuesday.

The Grizz were without guys like Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, Mike Conley and some other starters, so there wasn't much to learn from this game. But it does look like Adams may be a decent role player for the Grizzlies this season.
