The Grizzlies have waived G Jordan Adams.

It was a matter of when, not if, the Grizzlies would make this move and it became official on Tuesday.

The Grizzlies will waive G Jordan Adams, sources told Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Adams has not been able to stay healthy since the Grizzlies made him a first round pick in 2014. After being limited to just two games last season, it looks like Memphis has made the decision to move on. We should have official confirmation of the move soon.

Jordan Adams "isn't expected to play for the Griz for a second straight season," according to Ronald Tillery of the Commercial Appeal.

Adams underwent a lateral meniscectomy on his right knee in August of 2015, and he's been battling with nothing but complications since. He's not expected to be able to participate in training camp and both the player and the team remain in an uncertain waiting game. Obviously, he's not on any fantasy radar.

Jordan Adams (knee) won't be ready for training camp and will not participate in the preseason either.

Adams underwent cartilage transplant surgery in his right knee back in June, and while he's "progressing as expected," he hasn't been cleared for court activity yet. He currently has no timetable for a return and will be reevaluated on a weekly basis. The 22nd pick in the 2014 draft will hopefully be able to get his career on track once he's finally healthy, but we're not projecting a significant role for him this season.

According to Bobby Marks of The Vertical, Jordan Adams' roster spot could be in trouble if Troy Williams has a strong training camp.

Adams had yet another knee surgery in June and is currently out indefinitely, so the Grizzlies may be forced to move on. The 22nd pick in the 2014 draft has played in a total of 32 games since entering the league two years ago. He's only 22 years old, so he should be able to get his career going if he can get his knee right.

Jordan Adams is scheduled to undergo cartilage transplant surgery on his troublesome right knee.

Adams was taken with the No. 22 overall selection in the 2014 NBA draft, and since then he has undergone two procedures on his right knee whilst suiting up for a mere 32 games over the course of two NBA seasons. Adams had been aggressively rehabbing from his most recent procedure, but with the pain being a constant, it was determined that a cartilage transplant would be the best course of action. We wish Adams the best as he goes through what will likely be another lengthy rehab.

Jordan Adams (knee) is continuing his rehab.

The Grizzlies failed to provide any kind of meaningful update on Adams all season, so there is really no analysis here until we get some actual information. He's not on the fantasy radar in any format.

The Grizzlies are remaining tight-lipped on a potential return for Jordan Adams (knee).

The Grizzlies have refused inquiries on Adams' status for the last two weeks after last releasing a statement on March 25. "Adams has increased his activity daily, including beginning court workouts. He will be re-evaluated weekly in hopes that he can return to team practices in the near future," the statement read. While Adams seems to be making progress, he can be left on waivers as it doesn't look like he'll be returning to the court this season.

Jordan Adams (knee) remains out indefinitely.

He has been working to strengthen his knee. "I have been working hard throughout my rehab process to get back and join my teammates on the court as soon as possible," Adams said. "I am trying to ramp up my cardio workouts as of late and hoping to get back to practice soon." He is likely out for the year.

Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace said that while Jordan Adams remains without an official timetable to return, he's making progress in his recovery from knee surgery.

Adams underwent knee surgery back in January, and while the Grizzlies could certainly use him given the current state of the roster, it's unclear if he'll be able to make it back to the court before the conclusion of the 2015-16 season. Leave him on the wire.

Jordan Adams (right knee surgery) remains out indefinitely.

Adams underwent a second knee surgery in early January, and it would be shocking to see him return this year. He's played in two games this season.

Jordan Adams (right knee) will have a surgery on his knee on Tuesday.

He's having some really bad luck with two knee surgeries in the past year. There was some hope Adams didn't need surgery this time around, but he's likely looking at 6-8 weeks on the sidelines. Hopefully he can have a good offseason this summer.

Jordan Adams (knee) said that his meniscus is "fine" and that an MRI revealed a "small piece of cartilage."

"I'm just trying to play without pain and discomfort," Adams said. "That's the holdback. I'm trying to get comfortable with playing without worrying about a setback." There is still no clear timetable for Adams, so owners in basically all leagues can leave him on the wire. He hasn't played since Nov. 2.

Jordan Adams (right knee soreness) will not play on Monday vs. Portland.

Adams last played in a game over two months ago (November 2), and there is still no timetable for his return. In late December, it was reported that Adams was "getting close to being ready," but that was clearly inaccurate and not at all the case.
