Cleanthony Early played 18 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday with nine points, one rebound, three assists, two steals and one 3-pointer.
He committed five fouls and made a couple mental lapses in the game. The Knicks were going to give him an extended look, but he's kind of squandering the chance. It looks like Ricky Ledo is the better add. Yes, these are your 2014-15 New York Knickerbockers. Mar 28 - 10:45 PM

Cleanthony Early scored 12 points with five rebounds, one assist, three steals and one turnover in 29 minutes against the Celtics on Friday.

He was 5-of-13 from the field and he's finally starting to get some significant run. Alexey Shved (ribs) is likely out for the season, so Early could have an impact in deeper leagues. Until he starts to make shots, he's not worth owning in standard leagues.
Mar 28 - 12:35 AM

Cleanthony Early returned from an ankle injury and had a team-high 18 points, four rebounds, a steal and two 3-pointers on 5-of-12 shooting in 25 minutes on Wednesday.

The Knicks are painful, in all aspects - to watch, to use in fantasy, to watch some more - and Early has really struggled on the season. The points were nice, but he never seems to shoot 50 percent and he's just as likely to give you a three-point game as he is to come through like he did tonight. Then again, maybe the Knicks are ready to wind him up and turn him loose, so it's also possible this was a sign of things to come. Keep a close eye on him on Friday night, and pounce if he does anything.
Mar 26 - 12:04 AM

Cleanthony Early (ankle) will play against the Clippers on Wednesday.

He has a good chance for minutes tonight with the Knicks missing a few guys on the wing. Early has been awful this season, making 33.8 percent from the field in his 31 games. We'll let you know if he does anything noteworthy tonight.
Mar 25 - 5:24 PM

Cleanthony Early (ankle) is being listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Clippers.

Early hasn't been able to do much this season, even when given big minutes, so he's not someone that should be added in most leagues.
Mar 24 - 4:52 PM

Cleanthony Early (ankle) will not play against the Grizzlies on Monday.

His ankle injury isn't getting much better and there's no word of him practicing yet. Early can be dropped in just about all leagues.
Mar 23 - 5:49 PM

Cleanthony Early (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Raptors.

Early has been sidelined since March 15, and with the fantasy playoffs in full swing, he belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Mar 22 - 3:08 PM

Cleanthony Early (ankle) did not play on Friday against the Sixers.

Early fits the profile as somebody that the Knicks would develop in this lost season but he just hasn't created any momentum. Owners can watch this action from the wire.
Mar 20 - 10:55 PM

Cleanthony Early (ankle) will not suit up for Thursday's game vs. the Timberwolves, as expected.

There isn't a clear winner with Early sidelined. Lance Thomas and Travis Wear will have the opportunity for some extended minutes, but neither guy is doing enough statistically to matter in most leagues. Early hasn't produced enough for New York this season to warrant a stash, so he can remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Mar 19 - 6:02 PM

Cleanthony Early (ankle) is doubtful for Thursday's game vs. Minnesota.

It's safe to say that Early has been a major disappointment for the Knicks this season, and his ankle has been giving him plenty of problems. Lance Thomas and Travis Wear should be able to see more minutes following this news, but neither player is an attractive option in most leagues. Leave Early on the wire.
Mar 18 - 1:28 PM

Cleanthony Early (ankle) will not suit up for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.

With Early unavailable, Travis Wear and Lance Thomas will be in line for some extended minutes, although neither guy can be viewed as a viable option in standard leagues. Thomas is coming off a 14-point outing, so he technically offers the most upside.
Mar 17 - 5:55 PM

Cleanthony Early will not return to Sunday's game due to a sprained left ankle.

The Knicks lost Tim Hardaway Jr. to a wrist injury in the first half, and coach Derek Fisher will have to get creative if neither guy suits up vs. the Spurs on Tuesday. Early wasn't offering any fantasy value in limited minutes so his absence won't have a substantial impact in typical leagues. Consider him day-to-day.
Mar 15 - 11:06 PM

Cleanthony Early had his best game in a long time against the Lakers on Thursday with 11 points, three boards, two blocks and one 3-pointer on 4-of-6 from the field.

Finally. Early made just 23.7 percent from the field in February and today was his first game over 10 points since Jan. 8. We'll still need to see Early put up a several more decent lines before he warrants a pickup.
Mar 13 - 3:12 AM

Cleanthony Early (knee) is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Jazz.

This isn't major news as Early hasn't been an integral part of the Knicks rotation this season, but he's been getting more consistent playing time as of late. While Early is worth a flier for fantasy owners in deep leagues, Lance Thomas, Jason Smith, and Shane Larkin would all look to pick up extra minutes if he sits on Tuesdays.
Mar 10 - 1:22 PM

Cleanthony Early got loose for 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists, one block and one three in 32 minutes off the bench in Monday's loss.

Early has been non-existent in fantasy leagues for a while now, but would theoretically be a good guy for the Knicks to roll out to finish their tanked season. He's an extremely risky pickup with just one good game under his belt.
