Glenn Robinson III made his first start of his career on Wednesday against the Heat, scoring 10 points with eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 36 minutes.
Even with the Wolves dealing with a ton of injuries, they still dumped GR3. Robinson has a ton of bounce in his legs, but he needs to improve big time this offseason. He won't be a big dog in fantasy for a long time. Apr 15 - 10:58 PM

Date:

Glenn Robinson III will start in place of Hollis Thompson vs. the Heat on Wednesday.

The Sixers are deploying yet another odd-ball lineup with GR3, JaKarr Sampson, Robert Covington, Jerami Grant and Henry Sims. They'll take on an equally obscure Heat lineup tonight, as Miami is resting the bulk of their veterans, and this game promises to be a forgettable conclusion to a dismal season for Philadelphia.
Apr 15 - 8:00 PM

Glenn Robinson III played down the stretch against the Bulls on Saturday with 10 points, three rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer.

Robert Covington had a leg issue and GRIII stepped in. If Ish Smith is going to need to miss time, Robinson could wind up getting minutes in the low 20s. If Covington is out, it could be minutes in the mid 20s. He's only worth a look in very deep leagues, of course.

Head coach Brett Brown stated during a recent interview that the plan is to bring Glenn Robinson III along slowly.

"I got a gut feel to what we are going to do," Brown said, "and I don’t see Glenn being a part of it tomorrow. As I said right when we got him, my plan is to get him a little bit more comfortable. I don’t feel the need [to play him], because I do have an abundance of wings." It sounds like Robinson is going to have to fight for his minutes in Philadelphia, and until he becomes a regular part of the rotation, he can remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Sixers claimed F Glenn Robinson III off waivers.

The move is official, but the Big Dog's son will have no fantasy value.

The 76ers have reportedly claimed Glenn Robinson III off waivers.

The 76ers love to pick up contracts and this is not a surprise. They are losing a lot of wing players with Robert Covington (elbow), Jerami Grant (back) and Jason Richardson (rest) all up in the air tonight. Still, you would have to be in a very deep league to grab Robinson, who is making just 33.3 percent from the field this season.
Mar 7 - 5:12 PM

The Timberwolves have waived F Glenn Robinson III to make room for F/C Justin Hamilton on the roster.

Through 25 games with the Timberwolves this season, Robinson averaged just 1.2 points per game on 33.3 percent shooting from the field. He may be able to sign on with another NBA team, but he's not going to be a relevant name in standard fantasy leagues. Leave him on the wire.

Glenn Robinson III (ankle) is active for Saturday's game.

He likely won't be in the rotation this season but does have a chance to make his NBA debut Saturday. Regardless, unless he somehow carves out a sizable role in Minnesota, he won't be worth owning in almost any league.

Glenn Robinson III (ankle) is inactive for Wednesday's game.

He is currently out of the rotation in Minnesota and doesn't project to have any fantasy value this season. He can be safely ignored in nearly all leagues.

Glenn Robinson III (ankle) was back at practice on Friday.

He sounds like he's fine and should be ready to go for game action next week. Robinson is not a Big Dog in fantasy leagues just yet.

Glen Robinson III (ankle) sat out Thursday practice.

Robinson III tweaked the ankle during practice on Wednesday. He was taken with the 40th overall pick back in June and is part of a young nucleus in Minnesota consisting of Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, and Zach Lavine. He will likely be fighting for a spot in the rotation during camp so his health will be worth monitoring.

The Wolves have officially signed rookie F Glenn Robinson III.

Robinson was drafted No. 40 overall this summer and his signing means that Minnesota is over the limit with 16 guaranteed contracts. He's unlikely to help fantasy owners given the Wolves' solid depth at SF, and he may spend some time developing with the D-League's Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

The Timberwolves took F Glenn Robinson with the 40th pick.

His dad was the top pick of the 1994 draft and played until 2005, but GR3 won’t have that kind of interior presence. Robinson’s minutes per game actually took a hit in his second season despite the Wolverines losing Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway, and his efficiency also went down. He is much more of an athlete than his dad, leading the combine in standing vertical leap at 36.5 inches, but he’ll have to develop a bit more skill as a scorer.

The Grizzlies are putting together a workout for Glenn Robinson III, Jordan Adams, Joe Harris and Geron Johnson.

Robinson III has been working out for over half of the teams in an effort to move up in the first round. There's really little chance he'll be able to sneak into the lottery and it's possible he is taken in the second round.

Michigan forward Glenn Robinson III said he has worked out for 15-16 teams.

Unlike his dad, he is projected to go outside of the top 20 picks and could even make it to the second round. Robinson averaged 13.1 points, 4.4 boards and 0.9 steals in his sophomore season at U of M.
