Montrezl Harris (ankle) played 12 minutes in Monday's loss to the Celtics, finishing with four points, two boards and two turnovers.
He was listed as probable prior to Monday's game because of a sprained ankle, but he looked fine and it shouldn't be an issue moving forward. Harrell won't be a factor in fantasy leagues while Terrence Jones is healthy. Nov 17 - 12:27 AM

Montrezl Harris (ankle) is probable to play on Monday vs. Boston.

Harris left Saturday's game vs. Dallas after rolling his ankle, and after it looked like he was in a lot of pain, it is good to see he's already ready to go just two days later. With Terrence Jones locked in at power forward, Harrell is waiver wire fodder.
Nov 16 - 12:07 PM

Montrezl Harrell left Saturday's game vs. the Mavericks after rolling his ankle and did not return.

Harrell was in a lot of pain and went back to the locker room for a few moments, but the good news is that he at least returned to the bench. The last thing the Rockets need is another injury, but hopefully it's not too serious. Terrence Jones is playing well and will have to ramp up his minutes if Harrell misses time.
Nov 14 - 9:52 PM

Montrezl Harrell didn't do much during his first career start on Friday, tallying just five points, two boards and one turnover through 13 minutes of action.

Harrell was severely outplayed by Terrence Jones (23 points in 20 minutes), and after Friday’s disappointing performance, it could be a while before the rookie is given another opportunity to run with the starting unit. He's not worth owning in any league.
Nov 14 - 12:55 AM

Montrezl Harrell will slide into the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Nuggets, sending Marcus Thornton back to the bench.

It's interesting that Harrell is getting the start ahead of Terrence Jones, but perhaps Jones' conditioning isn't yet where it needs to be. Thornton had a nice run in the starting unit, but his value will take a pretty big hit coming off the bench. Harrell has been pretty disappointing this year, but perhaps he'll be able to turn things around in what will be an uptempo game against Denver.
Nov 13 - 8:44 PM

Montrezl Harrell continued to disappoint owners with three points and two rebounds in seven minutes on Friday.

Despite having a bunch of teammates on the sidelines, he just hasn't been able to get in the game. It's a bit disappointing for those that added him on a flier.
Nov 7 - 2:38 AM

Montrezl Harrell played just three minutes on Monday against the Thunder, despite the fact Terrence Jones didn't play.

Harrell has showed some flashes but until he gets rid of nights like these he can't be considered a fantasy option.
Nov 3 - 12:43 AM

Montrezl Harrell scored seven points during a 109-89 loss to the Heat on Sunday, adding five rebounds and one block in 22 minutes.

The second-round pick has been one of the best non-lottery players since Summer League and it's carrying over into the regular season. Harrell could be in the rotation even when the team is at full strength, so he's worth a look in deep leagues, especially while Terrence Jones (eye) is out.
Nov 1 - 9:06 PM

Montrezl Harrell will come off the bench for Sunday's game vs. the Heat, despite Terrence Jones (eyelid) being unavailable.

The Rockets will run with a small-ball lineup of Ty Lawson, James Harden, Marcus Thornton, Trevor Ariza and Clint Capela for Sunday's game. Capela is worth deploying as a punt-play in daily leagues, but Harrell loses some luster coming off the bench.

Kevin McHale has not yet decided who will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Heat.

With Dwight Howard (rest) and Terrence Jones (eyelid) unavailable, it's very likely Clint Capela starts at center, but the starting power forward position is a bit more of a question mark. They could go with rookie Montrezl Harrell, or McHale could elect to go with a small ball lineup featuring Trevor Ariza at the four-spot. We'll be monitoring this situation closely, but Harrell wouldn't be quit as appealing an option in DFS if he's not starting.

Montrezl Harrell picked up some late minutes in garbage time against the Warriors on Friday, finishing with 17 points, three rebounds and one block in 21 minutes.

He was a stud at Summer League and was one of their best Rockets in the preseason to help him earn some time at center in the opener sans Dwight Howard. Harrell will need Terrence Jones (eye) to miss time, but it doesn't sound serious right now. Just keep an eye on him unless you're in a very deep league.
Oct 31 - 2:55 AM

Rockets rookie Montrezl Harrell scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds in 16 minutes on Wednesday.

He made all four of his shots in an expanded role with Dwight Howard suspended and Donatas Motiejunas still rehabbing from back surgery. Though it was a very encouraging performance from Harrell, he's only worth a glance in deeper leagues.
Oct 28 - 11:02 PM

Montrezl Harrell played through a right finger sprain on Friday, finishing with five points, three rebounds and three turnovers in 21 minutes.

It was probably his worst game in the past week, but he is a second-round rookie. Harrell could wind up getting minutes this season, but he has little appeal right now with Terrence Jones back and Donatas Motiejunas (back) getting close.
Oct 24 - 12:50 AM

Montrezl Harrell scored 13 points in a start against the Pelicans during a 120-100 win on Monday, adding one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block in 24 minutes.

He's a terrific fit with the Rockets as a guy who likes to run the open floor, can defend any type of power forward and can hit the glass. Harrell was probably the most impressive second-round forward at Summer League and he might get minutes with Terrence Jones (head) and Donatas Motiejunas (back) sidelined right now. Obviously, you need to be in a very deep league to give Monster Harrell a look.
Oct 19 - 11:44 PM

Montrezl Harrell scored three points with four boards, one steal and one block in 21 minutes against the Heat on Saturday.

Terrence Jones (jaw) had an injury tonight, but we don't know the severity of it yet. Harrell can block shots, is a nice fit at power forward in the Rockets' system, tore it up in Las Vegas, and might be the last healthy power forward left standing. He's only a speculative add in very deep leagues.
