Jarnell Stokes has signed a one-year deal with Zhejiang Chouzhou in China, according to Michael Scotto.
Stokes played well for the Blazers during Summer League, including a 22-point, 15-rebound game in the Vegas semifinals, taking full advantage of Zach Collins' absence. He wasn't assured a roster spot in the NBA and will likely earn more guaranteed money overseas. Wed, Jul 26, 2017 09:13:00 PM

Jarnell Stokes posted 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting, 15 boards, three assists, two steals and one block during the Blazers' semifinals victory in Vegas on Sunday.

Stokes was named D-League MVP for 2015-16 but he's struggled to make an impact at the NBA level, appearing in just nine games over the past two seasons. His play at Summer League could earn him a training camp invite, as he's scored 10.6 points on 67.6 percent shooting with 6.6 boards in just 22.0 minutes per game.

The Nuggets have reportedly waived Jarnell Stokes.

Stokes is dealing with a foot injury, and with Gary Harris (foot) expected to miss the next four weeks of action, the Nuggets can't sustain the dead roster space. The Nuggets will likely be looking to add another guard on a 10-day deal, and Stokes is likely bound for the D-League.

Jarnell Stokes (right foot injury) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Suns.

Wednesday would be the third straight missed game for Stokes. Even when healthy, he is not on the fantasy radar.

Jarnell Stokes (right foot injury) will not play vs. the Blazers on Sunday.

He's not in the rotation anyways. This will be his second straight game on the sidelines.

Nuggets sign F Jarnell Stokes.

Stokes, last season's D-League MVP, will compete for a job in training camp. He'll have to make an incredibly strong impression to stick around given Denver's frontcourt depth, but he's got plenty of motivation and could draw interest from another club if he doesn't stick with the Nuggets.

The Nuggets are expected to invite Jarnell Stokes to training camp.

Stokes made only seven appearances in the NBA last year with the Heat and Grizzlies, but he was named the D-League MVP after averaging 20.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.7 blocks in 29.9 minutes per game. Even if he makes the roster, Stokes won't be fantasy-relevant.

Russian side Lokomotiv Kuban is interested in signing Jarnell Stokes.

He was the MVP of the D-League last season, averaging 20.6 points and 9.3 rebounds. It's surprising that he hasn't received much NBA interest, but he can probably make more money overseas.

Jarnell Stokes will play in summer league in the hopes of hooking on with an NBA team.

The D-League's Most Valuable Player will attempt to showcase his talents at summer league. Stokes is still just 22 years old and has upside, but we'll have to wait and see if he's able to play his way onto a roster before investing any fantasy stock in him.

Jarnell Stokes has won the D-League's Most Valuable Player Award.

Stokes won the award playing with the Sioux Falls Skyforce and should get a shot to make the Heat's roster during training camp. Still just 22 years old, Stokes has some upside, but he's not on the radar in most fantasy leagues just yet.

Jarnell Stokes has returned to playing for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the D-League.

Despite returning to Miami's D-League team, Stokes isn't eligible to hook back up with Miami since the Heat traded him at the deadline.

The Pelicans waived Jarnell Stokes on Friday.

They needed to clear up a roster spot in order to sign Bryce Dejean-Jones. We will let you know where Stokes ends up, but he likely won't be a fantasy asset unless he lands in an ideal situation.

The Heat have traded Jarnell Stokes to the Pelicans.

It's basically just a salary dump for the Heat as they will only receive a highly-protected second-round pick from the Pelicans -- they're kicking in $700,000 as a sweetener, and will save about $2 million in luxury tax. Stokes was never able to crack the rotation in Miami, but that could change in New Orleans, especially if they end up dealing Ryan Anderson at the deadline. For now, owners in deeper leagues can simply keep Stokes on their radar.

The Heat are reportedly willing to trade Jarnell Stokes for a second round pick.

Stokes has only made a handful of brief appearances for Miami and he has spent the majority of his time in the D-League, so the Heat are simply looking to open up a roster spot. Unless Stokes is traded to an ideal situation, he would likely be looking at a very limited role. He's not worth stashing at this point.
