Semaj Christon (concussion) returned to action on Tuesday, but missed both of his shots in four minutes of action.
At best, Christon will see minutes in the teens while the Thunder are healthy. Leave him on the wire. Nov 23 - 1:28 AM

Semaj Christon (concussion) is active for Tuesday's game vs. the Lakers.

He's averaging 16.0 minutes per game in 13 appearances and should slide back into his backup PG role. Christon is not a fantasy pickup.
Nov 22 - 9:05 PM

Semaj Christon (concussion) was an active participant during Tuesday morning's shootaround.

He's still going through the concussion protocol, and the Thunder have not yet updated his status for Tuesday night's game against the Lakers. Victor Oladipo will continue to pick up some extra minutes at the point guard position if Christon can't give it a go tonight.
Nov 22 - 2:43 PM

Semaj Christon (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Pacers.

Josh Huesties will join the active roster with Christon on the sidelines, but there are no guarantees Huesties will see the court tonight. Victor Oladipo will likely log some extra minutes with the second unit sans Christon, which would be a boon to his value.
Nov 20 - 5:34 PM

Semaj Christon is in the concussion protocol and suffered a non-displaced left facial fracture.

Christon took a hard hit to the head in the second half of Friday night's victory over the Nets. He looked dazed and in pain, and was helped back to the locker room. He won't be able to rejoin the team until he's cleared the protocol.
Nov 19 - 1:17 PM

Semaj Christon played 20 minutes against the Clippers on Friday with nine points, four rebounds and one 3-pointer.

He played seven minutes next to Russell Westbrook tonight, so Christon is getting some more depth to his role. In the previous five games, Christon only played a combined seven minutes next to Westy. The trust from coach Billy Donovan is a good sign for him if OKC has an injury to their first unit. Just keep an eye on him in most cases.
Nov 12 - 1:13 AM

Semaj Christon has reportedly made the Thunder's final 15-man roster.

This means that OKC will be waiving both Mitch McGary and Ronnie Price. Price had a guaranteed contract in which he was owed $2.6 million this season and $2.4 million in 2017-18. Thus, we are able to infer that Christon made a strong impression on Thunder coaches/management. The only other true PG on the Thunder roster is Cameron Payne (foot), who is sidelined indefinitely due to a foot fracture. This means Christon may be relied upon as Russell Westbrook's primary back up. We know Westbrook will play a ton of minutes each night, so Christon will have limited value in most standard leagues. However, if Westbrook were ever to miss an extended period of time, Christon would suddenly be in line to play extended minutes.
Oct 24 - 2:34 PM

With Cameron Payne (foot) now out indefinitely, Semaj Christon's chances of making the opening night roster with the Thunder has improved.

Christon still wouldn't be anything more than the third-string point guard in OKC, with Ronnie Price set to soak up most of the reserve point guard minutes sans Payne, so he's not worth drafting anywhere.
Sep 29 - 4:48 PM

Semaj Christon has been focusing on his shooting this offseason.

Christon shot 47.1 percent from the field during the summer league with averages of 16.8 points and 4.3 assists, but hit just 19 percent of his 3-point attempts while playing overseas in Italy. Christon showed some potential during the summer, but the Thunder complicated things by adding Ronnie Price in free agency. Unless the Thunder plan to keep four PGs, Christon may end up in the D-League or head overseas again.

Sep 18 - 9:48 AM

Semaj Christon is expected to join the D-League after the Thunder's training camp.

The Thunder already have 15 guaranteed contracts and three point guards in Russell Westbrook, Cameron Payne and Ronnie Price, so this isn't a surprise. We'll keep an eye on his progress in the D-League.
Aug 21 - 9:51 AM

Thunder sign G Semaj Christon.

Christon's chances of making an impact went from remote to nonexistent with the arrival of Ronnie Price. He'll be behind Russell Westbrook, Cameron Payne and Price on the depth chart.

Semaj Christon will likely start the 2016-17 season in the D-League.

Christon had been eyeing a bench role with the Thunder, but the team's recent signing of Ronnie Price will likely send the 23-year-old to the D-League for the 2016-17 season. While Christon has a strong showing in summer league, he won't be a fantasy factor this upcoming season.
Aug 16 - 10:37 AM

Semaj Christon scored 22 points vs. the Heat on Friday with four assists, two boards, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes.

The Thunder are in the market for a third-string point guard behind Russell Westbrook and Cameron Payne, and Anthony Slater of the Oklahoman said he wouldn't be surprised if it was Christon. He shot 10-of-14 from the field on Friday and had a strong week in Orlando, but he still won't be a factor in fantasy leagues if he lands a deal with OKC.
Jul 8 - 12:06 PM

Semaj Christon scored 23 points with seven assists in Friday's overtime win over the Clippers.

Christon capped off his excellent performance by nailing the game-winning free throw, and it's possible that his play this summer has created some buzz around the league. Christon came into Friday's game with averages of 13.8 points and 6.8 boards, but he will have a hard time making the Thunder's final roster for the 2015-16 season.

Xavier PG Semaj Christon was taken with the 55th pick in the draft on Thursday, but he was promptly traded to the Thunder by way of Charlotte.

The Heat officially drafted Christon but they traded their pick to the Hornets, who in turn sent it along to OKC. At the end of the day, Christon will be fighting for playing time on the Thunder bench behind Russell Westbrook and Reggie Jackson, and it would take a spate of injuries to thrust him into a fantasy-relevant role.
