Jordan Clarkson's streak of double-digit scoring ended at 13 games on Wednesday, as he was held to nine points with two rebounds, one assist and one steal.
When it rains, it pours for the Cavs this season. They got Cedi Osman back tonight but were still without Sam Dekker (left ankle), George Hill (shoulder), Kyle Korver (right foot), and of course Kevin Love (foot). They desperately need Clarkson's bench production but he was just 4-of-13 from the field tonight with six turnovers. And because he doesn't get many supporting stats, games like this are brutal for fantasy. Nov 14 - 10:09 PM

Jordan Clarkson led the Cavaliers to their second win of the campaign with a season-high 24 points vs. the Hornets on Tuesday.

He only had seven garbage-time points, so this wasn't all about the blowout. Clarkson hit 9-of-15 shots with five rebounds, two assists, one block and a triple in 28 minutes. He's quietly having a good season and has benefitted from Cleveland's tank, as he's flirting with top-100 value in standard leagues for his contributions in points (15.8), assists (1.8) and triples (1.3) on 47.5% shooting.
Nov 13 - 9:47 PM

Jordan Clarkson scored 15 points with five rebounds, four assists and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday.

He lost his PG minutes with Andrew Harrison on the squad, but Clarkson still handled the ball and even dished it out some. He's still shooting the ball well for the most part this season, so he's worth owning in standard leagues on a team dying for offensive production.
Nov 10 - 10:21 PM

Jordan Clarkson piled up multiple season-highs with nine rebounds and eight assists, adding 11 points and one steal in 33 minutes.

Clarkson shot 5-of-17 from the field and 1-of-7 from deep tonight, while missing his only FT attempt. Congrats if you were streaming him or played him in DFS, because (despite the poor shooting) this was his best fantasy performance of the season. It helped that Cleveland was very short-handed, and we're still not inclined to add him as more than a points-and-threes specialist.
Nov 7 - 9:59 PM

Jordan Clarkson scored 17 points with four rebounds, one block and no turnovers in 20 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday during a 110-91 loss.

He's been fairly consistent as a scorer with at least 12 points in every game, averaging 16.0 points, 2.7 boards, 1.1 dimes, 0.6 steals and 1.3 treys on 50.0 FG% and 91.7 FT% in his previous games. Obviously, the lack of non-scoring stats will pull him down, but he's shooting the ball well enough to be worth owning, especially considering how badly the Cavs need offense right now.
Nov 1 - 9:26 PM

Jordan Clarkson scored 18 points with one rebound, one steal and two 3-pointers in 21 minutes against the Pistons on Thursday.

He's been productive on the offensive end and scored just a shade below today's output at 16.8 per game in his four previous games. However, Clarkson continues to get lost on defense and he hasn't done anything else on the stat sheet that'll help fantasy owners, so nine-cat fantasy owners may want to figure out if he's helpful to their team.
Oct 25 - 10:07 PM

Jordan Clarkson scored 19 points in 23 minutes during Sunday's home loss, making 7-of-12 shots with three 3-pointers, three rebounds and two assists.

The Hawks came in having allowed 125+ points in consecutive games for the first time since 1973, but the Cavs mustered 'only' 111 points tonight. Clarkson is off to a hot start offensively with at least 15 points in each of Cleveland's three games, so he's doing enough to be worth a low-end hold in most formats.
Oct 21 - 8:57 PM

Jordan Clarkson scored 19 points with four rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and three turnovers against the Wolves on Friday.

His strong play in the second half helped keep the Cavs in this one. It looks like Clarkson and Rodney Hood are going to split the SG minutes with the pair playing 53 minutes combined, and it won't help that Cedi Osman looks like the real deal. Clarkson is only a so-so fantasy asset.
Oct 20 - 12:35 AM

Jordan Clarkson had 15 points, three rebounds, one 3-pointer and no other stats to his credit in 23 minutes on Wednesday.

Clarkson looked "unstoppable" during training camp, according to teammate Kyle Korver, and he'll be relied on as a go-to scorer off the Cavs' bench. "We'll need to do it by committee, with five or six guys [scoring] in double figures," said coach Ty Lue. "I think we have that capability." As long as you're not expecting more than points and triples, Clarkson is a reasonable pickup.
Oct 18 - 12:05 AM

Jordan Clarkson (rest) will not play Monday vs. the Sixers.

Clarkson has played well this preseason. Through two games, he is averaging 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 56.3 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from downtown.
Oct 8 - 11:56 AM

Jordan Clarkson scored 12 points with six rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in 14 minutes against the Celtics on Saturday.

Unlike in the playoffs, Clarkson has been solid as a shooter and his shot selection isn't terrible. He's been subbing in at shooting guard most of the time and was behind Rodney Hood, so coach Ty Lue may not want to put him at PG too much. Either way, Clarkson is going to need a lot of volume to have value in most leagues and he probably won't get it, so most owners may want to look elsewhere.
Oct 6 - 10:01 PM

Jordan Clarkson tallied 29 points (on 12-of-16 shooting), five triples, six assists and four rebounds for the Philippines on Friday in the 2018 Asian Games.

Clarkson finished the tournament averaging 26.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists. This serves as a nice tuneup for training camp, which begins later this month. Clarkson will be competing for backcourt minutes with George Hill, Collin Sexton and J.R. Smith.

Sep 1 - 10:06 AM

Jordan Clarkson battled cramps while playing for the Philippines in the Asian Games, but it hasn't caused him to miss any games.

The highlight of Clarkson's tourney has been his 22-point, nine-assist, six-rebound performance in a win vs. Korea on Monday. He'll get one more chance to shine in a consolation match vs. Syria, and should be in top-gear when training camp begins in late September.
Aug 30 - 4:28 PM

Updating a previous report, Jordan Clarkson has been cleared to play for the Philippines at the Asian Games in Jakarta.

Clarkson was granted a special, one-time exception to suit up for the Philippine team in Jakarta, although he will miss their first game against Khasikstan. Clarkson has dual citizenship in the US and the Philippines due to his mom being half Filipino, and it's been a goal of his for some time now to represent his Filipino heritage on the international stage.
Aug 15 - 10:56 AM

Jordan Clarkson has not been cleared to play for the Philippines national team in the Asian Games.

The hope was that Clarkson would be good to go. However, per the ESPN report, that will not happen. Fortunately, it appears he will be cleared to play for the country in the FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament in September.
