Jordan Clarkson finished with a season-high 33 points, seven assists and seven rebounds in Friday's 99-86 win against the Pacers.
Clarkson finished 14-of-19 from the field, including 3-of-6 from behind the 3-point line. It Clarkson's fifth-career 30-point game, and his first of the season. The Lakers needed every bit of it, as they had a dismal 2-of-14 night from the free-throw stripe. It was the worst percentage from the stripe by a winning NBA team since 1963. Five players took at least one free throw without a make, and only Clarkson was 2-of-3 to hit. Jan 20 - 1:41 AM

Jordan Clarkson helped the Lakers to their fourth-straight win on Saturday, scoring 19 points on 9-of-18 shooting to go with one 3-pointer, three boards, four assists and two turnovers in 30 minutes.

Clarkson caught fire down the stretch, scoring 11 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter and overtime while rocking a 30.4 usage rate, and there really wasn't anything the Mavs could do to stop him. The Lakers are reportedly looking to ship Clarkson out of Los Angeles, so he probably bumped up his trade stock a bit with his clutch performance. In terms of fantasy hoops, a trade wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for Clarkson, as his minutes have been sporadic with the Lakers this season.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, there's a mutual desire between the Lakers and Jordan Clarkson to find a trade sooner rather than later.

Wojnarowski previously reported that the Lakers would prefer to wait until the end of the season, but that doesn't seem to be the case any more. The Lakers are trying to shed salary for the free agent market in 2018 and have given up hope of trying to move Luol Deng's laughable contract, so Clarkson, Julius Randle and even Larry Nance could be moved. Clarkson is only averaging 23.1 minutes per game for the Lakers, so a change of scenery could be a good thing.

Jordan Clarkson scored 20 points on 7-of-15 shots against the Wolves on Monday, adding four assists, two rebounds, one steal and two triples in 24 minutes.

Tyler Ennis drew another start, but Clarkson won the position battle this time around after Ennis had 20 points and 11 assists on Sunday night compared to six points and one assist for Clarkson. Lonzo Ball (shoulder) could be back for Wednesday's game vs. the Thunder, so Clarkson's owners should be prepared for a significant dip in value when that happens.
Jan 1 - 11:46 PM

Jordan Clarkson was quiet in 21 bench minutes on Sunday, going 2-of-7 from the field for six points, two steals and one assist.

The Lakers set a new season-high for scoring in the first half, shredding Houston's defense for 72 points, but they wound up losing in double-overtime, 148-142 . Even reserves like Corey Brewer (nine points, six boards) and Andrew Bogut (six points, five boards) got in on the fun tonight, which makes Clarkson's dud even more disappointing. He should bounce back vs. the Wolves on Monday, especially since Lonzo Ball (shoulder) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (personal) will both be out again.

Jordan Clarkson scored 20 points off the bench on Friday with five rebounds, eight assists and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Clippers on Friday.

Moving to the bench is no big deal with Clarkson basically being in a similar role as fellow LA guard Lou Williams. Clarkson is going to be very busy while Lonzo Ball (shoulder) is out and he'll be playing even more with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope out Sunday and Monday. He'll be a popular DFS play on Sunday against the Rockets.

Jordan Clarkson will move to the bench on Friday.

The move to the bench isn't really a big deal at all and Clarkson will get some huge minutes off the bench. His fantasy value is doing well and that should continue while Lonzo Ball (shoulder) is out.

Jordan Clarkson admitted he's having difficulty adjusting to the role of starting point guard.

Lonzo Ball (shoulder) is out for at least another handful of days, so Clarkson will have to navigate through his difficulties on the fly. "I’m used to coming off the bench and scoring quick, getting them up quick, and when you’re playing at point and you’re playing that many minutes, you’ve gotta pick your spots," Clarkson said. "It’s pretty difficult." Luke Walton wants Clarkson to find a balance between scoring and playmaking, but it's hard to blame JC given the sixth-man role he's been regularly asked to play on this team. "It definitely has been tough for me these last two games," Clarkson added. "The looks are different but I’m going to get it while this is going on." Hopefully, Lonzo's absence will be of the short-term variety.

Jordan Clarkson made another start at point guard on Wednesday vs. the Grizzlies, scoring 22 points with four rebounds, two assists, one block and five 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

Clarkson was 7-of-17 from the field and 3-of-5 from the line, and this was his second solid game in a row after scoring 17 points with six rebounds, seven assists and four steals in 35 minutes on Monday. With Lonzo Ball (shoulder) out for at least the rest of the week, Clarkson will be a solid streaming option on Friday vs. an injury-depleted Clippers team.
Thu, Dec 28, 2017 02:46:00 AM

Jordan Clarkson started at point guard for the first time this season for Lonzo Ball (shoulder) and hit 8-of-23 shots for 17 points, six rebounds, seven assists and four steals in 35 minutes of Monday's loss to the Timberwolves.

Clarkson was 0-for-3 from downtown, and while he's struggling from long range these days (2-of-13 over his last five games), he's going to start at point guard for another week and is going to be a hot pickup for as long as Ball is out. Go get him. He's struggling with his shot right now, hitting just 33 percent over his last five games, but he's played well in two straight, averaging 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals over his last two games.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN said the Lakers are confident they can trade Jordan Clarkson so they can clear cap space for the summer of 2018.

"They believe they can trade Jordan Clarkson and get his money off," Wojnarowski said. "They prefer not to do it at the trade deadline. Clarkson has helped them win games this year, and because they don’t have their pick, they want to win as many games as they can." The Lakers have given up hope that they will be able to move Luol Deng, but Clarkson should have some solid value around the league. An in-season trade wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for his fantasy value as he's only playing 22.1 minutes per game.

The Lakers could look to trade Jordan Clarkson this season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of

Nothing is imminent on this, but it's no secret the Lakers want to clear out as much cap space this year to make room to sign free agents. If Clarkson does get traded, that would likely help out Josh Hart and maybe even Alex Caruso. Clarkson has really only been a low-end hold in standard leagues.

Jordan Clarkson was good for four points, four assists and three rebounds in 14 minutes off the bench Friday at Golden State.

Clarkson dropped in two more buckets, and he leads the NBA in baskets by a reserve. However, he was a dismal 2-of-9 from the field, and he is shooting just 23.1 percent (6-of-26) from the floor over his past three contests. He is averaging just 4.0 PPG during the span, too, which is a far cry from the 14.6 PPG he post over his previous 11 games from Nov. 19-Dec. 14. He isn't a bad buy-low candidate in deeper leagues since he can be a capable scorer off the bench.
Sat, Dec 23, 2017 01:31:00 AM

Jordan Clarkson played just 19 minutes and hit 2-of-7 shots for four points and three assists in Monday's overtime loss to GSW.

Clarkson had scored in double figures in his previous four games, but didn't get much run tonight as Kentavious Caldwell-Pope played 41 minutes, despite hitting just 4-of-17 shots. Clarkson has been quiet for the last three games, but has a chance to bounce back soon. Cutting him for a hot free agent is an option, though, as long as KCP is getting that kind of run.
Tue, Dec 19, 2017 01:47:00 AM

Jordan Clarkson scored 22 points off the bench against the Hornets on Saturday with five rebounds, six assists one steal and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes.

He was outstanding to earn all 12 minutes in the fourth and his strong play kept Lonzo Ball on the bench for the entire final frame. Clarkson led a 28-6 late run as the Laker are now on a two-game winning streak. As for Clarkson, he's not exactly the most fantasy friendly guy in standard leagues, but use him like you normally would.
