Date:

Johnny O'Bryant made 5-of-15 from the field for 11 points with seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 16 minutes.

Raise your hand if you had Johnny Bryant ranking third in this game for field goal attempts and posted a 42.6 usage rate! Kidding aside, J.O.B. could have to go to work this week with Cody Zeller (knee) out and Frank Kaminsky (ankle) possibly missing some more time as well. You'd have to be pretty desperate to start him with four games.
Dec 9 - 11:46 PM

Johnny O'Bryant scored two points in 10 minutes on Friday.

The Hornets are almost out of bigs, so O'Bryant had to back up Dwight Howard. You would have to be in a ridiculously deep league to add J.O.B. to your fantasy work force.
Dec 9 - 1:17 AM

Hornets coach Steve Clifford has been impressed by Johnny O'Bryant's play off the bench.

"He’s always been a scorer. In the G-League, he posted, he iso(lated) and he shot like 37 percent from 3," Clifford said. "He’s a better passer than I ever realized. He’s becoming a better all-around player." O'Bryant has been getting the backup center minutes behind Dwight Howard with Cody Zeller (knee) sidelined and has made the most of them, averaging 10.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in 14.0 minutes over the past two games.
Oct 25 - 10:44 AM

Johnny O'Bryant hit 4-of-7 shots for 14 points, four rebounds and a block in 14 minutes off the Hornets bench on Monday.

He played 14 minutes in his previous game with six points, six boards, a steal and a block after not playing in the opener. He's not worth owning and tonight's 14 points might end up being his season high.
Oct 23 - 10:44 PM

Johnny O'Bryant contributed 11 points, six rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes off the Hornets' bench on Wednesday.

"I thought Johnny O'Bryant had a good second half tonight," coach Steve Clifford said after the game. "He had a good summer. He's good on offense." O'Bryant is only on the radar in the deepest of leagues.
Oct 11 - 10:03 PM

The Hornets kept Johnny O’Bryant on their roster beyond his Aug. 1 guarantee deadline, making his $1.5 million salary fully guaranteed.

O'Bryant will have a tough time cracking the rotation in Charlotte. The Hornets frontcourt is crowded, with Marvin Williams, Frank Kaminsky, Dwight Howard and Cody Zeller all ahead of O'Bryant on the depth chart.
Aug 2 - 4:26 PM

Johnny O'Bryant is expected to get minutes at power forward and center at summer league.

The Hornets have a lot of depth down low after the Dwight Howard trade, so O'Bryant increasing his versatility can only strengthen his case for potential playing time.

Johnny O'Bryant, Briante Weber and Treveon Graham will all play in the Summer League for the Hornets.

All three players have non-guaranteed contracts for next season and will likely be on the fringe of the rotation if they make the 15-man roster. The Hornets have 10 players under contract for next season and will pick 11th and 41st in the draft, but with little to no cap room, bringing in quality free agents will be very tough -- they will have an $8.4 million Mid-Level Exception and a $3.2 million Bi-Annual Exception to work with.
Jun 8 - 11:59 AM

Johnny O'Bryant (ankle) will not play on Monday vs. the Bucks.

He hasn't played in a game since Mar. 8th, so his chances of playing in the regular season finale on Tuesday probably aren't good.

Apr 10 - 11:27 AM

Johnny O'Bryant (ankle) is listed as "out" for Tuesday's game vs. Wizards.

No fantasy impact to note here, as O'Bryant hasn't appeared in a game since March 8th.

Apr 4 - 1:00 PM

Johnny O'Bryant (ankle) wasn't on the active roster for Sunday's game.

O'Bryant is out indefinitely. Even fully recovered he probably wouldn't crack a frontcourt rotation that features Cody Zeller, Marvin Williams, Frank Kaminsky and Miles Plumlee.
Apr 2 - 5:33 PM

Johnny O'Bryant (ankle) has been ruled out of Wednesday's game vs. Orlando.

O'Bryant has missed each of the Hornets last five games due to the ankle sprain. Minimal fantasy impact here, as O'Bryant saw only limited minutes even when he was 100 percent healthy
Mar 21 - 1:59 PM

Johnny O'Bryant (right ankle sprain) is listed as out for Saturday's game vs. the Wizards.

O'Bryant has missed four straight games due to the ankle sprain. He was only on the fringes of the Hornets rotation when healthy, so he should be left on waivers.

Mar 18 - 12:13 PM

The Hornets have signed Johnny O'Bryant to a multi-year deal.

Terms of the deal haven't been released, but he was likely signed for the remainder of the season with some partial guarantees in future seasons. He may not be in the rotation going forward since the Hornets are healthy in the frontcourt, so leave JOB on the wire.
