Devyn Marble was back at the Magic's practice facility for the first time since he had surgery on his eye, but the rookie likely won't even be able to practice for the remainder of the season.
The Magic have no need to rush him back and they will take every precaution they can to allow him ample time to recover. We will track his progress closely, but it's safe to leave him on the wire in all leagues. Apr 1 - 10:31 AM

Devyn Marble (eye) had successful surgery on his retina on Tuesday, and he does not have a timetable to return.

We wish him the best as he recovers from his surgery, but there is a good chance that he doesn't return this season. It's safe to leave Marble on the wire.
Mar 10 - 7:31 PM

Devyn Marble (eye) will miss the next 4-6 weeks due to a detached retina in his left eye.

He could miss the rest of the season. Marble surpassed most expectations as far as playing time goes, averaging 2.3 points, 1.9 boards, 1.1 assists and 0.6 steals in 13.0 minutes per game in 16 outings. He can be cut in most leagues.
Mar 4 - 4:32 PM

Devyn Marble was recalled from the NBA D-League on Saturday.

He hasn't played for the Magic since Jan. 25, and he likely won't be in the rotation anytime soon. Unless a few injuries open up some playing time for the rookie, Marble belongs on the wire.
Feb 21 - 12:01 PM

Devyn Marble has yet again been sent down for a D-League stint.

This is what Marble does, and with season averages of just 2.3 points on 31.8 percent shooting, he can safely remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Feb 17 - 6:48 PM

Devyn Marble is inactive on Wednesday against the Knicks.

He was a DNP-CD on Monday even with Tobias Harris out, so this isn't a surprise. Fantasy owners should expect to see Evan Fournier get the most run in Harris' place with a little extra playing time from Aaron Gordon. Fournier is coming off an 18-point, 33-minute game on Monday, so give him a look for tonight.
Feb 11 - 5:18 PM

Devyn Marble was recalled from the NBA D-League on Saturday.

The rookie is averaging just 2.3 points, 1.9 boards and 1.1 assists in just 13 minutes per game this season, so unless those numbers impress you it's safe to leave Marble on the wire.
Feb 7 - 1:07 PM

Magic assigned G Devyn Marble to the D-League.

Marble was starting (briefly) for the Magic this season, but he's now headed back to the D-League for more work. Marble hasn't played since January 25, so the team wants to get him some real action.
Feb 2 - 11:23 AM

Devyn Marble was benched on Sunday, scoring only two points with one rebound and one block in 10 minutes during a tough home loss to the Pacers.

The writing was on the wall for Marble, who played only 11 minutes on Friday, and the real surprise is that he was replaced by rookie Aaron Gordon rather than Tobias Harris. If you were still hanging onto Marble for some reason, now's the time to cut him.
Jan 25 - 9:05 PM

Devyn Marble missed his lone shot attempt vs. Detroit on Wednesday, finishing scoreless with three rebounds and one assist in 20 minutes of action.

He started again with Tobias Harris (ankle) returning in a bench role, but all signs point to Marble being benched on Friday. His muted production while starting indicates his lack of upside, and he should be dropped by any owners who picked him up for short-term production.
Jan 21 - 10:29 PM

Devyn Marble was invisible in another start on Sunday, finishing a blowout loss to OKC with three points, one rebound, two assists and one turnover in 20 minutes.

Marble made a splash when he first took over for Tobias Harris in the starting lineup, but he's gone cold over the past three games with averages of 4.7 points on 4-of-19 shooting, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and zero steals or blocks. Look elsewhere for temporary value.
Jan 18 - 8:47 PM

Devyn Marble had another solid night in Monday's win over the Bulls, scoring five points on 2-of-4 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds, four assists and three steals in 31 minutes.

Marble now has eight steals in his last two games and unfortunately for his fantasy value he'll have a hard time being relevant when Evan Fournier (knee) and Tobias Harris (ankle) return. But if he ever finds a path to consistent minutes, owners will want to remember these games.
Jan 12 - 11:37 PM

Devyn Marble played 25 minutes in his first NBA start on Saturday with six points, three rebounds, two assists, five steals and no turnovers.

It was almost a perfect storm for Marble with Evan Fournier (knee) and Tobias Harris (ankle) out tonight. He's going to need both guys to miss time in order to have fantasy value in even deep leagues. That said, this was a nice game for him.
Jan 11 - 2:09 AM

Devyn Marble will start for the Magic on Saturday against Portland in place of Tobias Harris (ankle).

It will be the first start of his NBA career and he should see a decent amount of minutes with the Magic shorthanded on Saturday. However, Marble figures to head right back to the end of the bench when Harris returns to action so there's no reason to add him in almost any league.
Jan 10 - 9:55 PM

The Orlando Magic have recalled Devyn Marble from the D-League.

Marble will likely serve a bench role for the Magic, so fantasy owners can feel free to leave him on waivers.
