Eric Moreland will work out for the Lakers.

Moreland was recently waived by the Kings after only appearing in three games last season due to a shoulder injury, but he looked solid at summer league with averages of 6.4 points, 8.0 boards and 2.0 blocks and it's not surprising to see him generate some interest. We will let you know if he gets a training camp invite. The Lakers will also work out D.J. Kennedy, but he needs a lot to happen before making the team becomes a realistic scenario.

Vlade Divac said he would like to have Eric Moreland back for next season.

The Kings are really thin at power forward, but they still had to waive Moreland before this month to avoid guaranteeing his deal. Moreland looked fine at Las Vegas last month and he will likely be at camp for some team.
Aug 5 - 8:20 PM

Eric Moreland has reportedly been receiving interest from around the league.

Moreland was released by the Kings as he faced an uphill battle to make the final roster, but his solid Summer League performance in Las Vegas has kept him on teams' radars. The 23-year-old will get a camp invite somewhere, but he's unlikely to see enough playing time to matter in standard fantasy leagues.

Kings waive F Eric Moreland.

The move became official after an earlier report today. Moreland had himself a solid Summer League in Vegas, averaging 6.4 points, 8.0 boards and 2.0 blocks. The Kings picking up Kosta Koufos and drafting Willie Cauley-Stein certainly made it tough for Moreland to make the team. He'll get a camp invite elsewhere.

The Kings will waive F Eric Moreland.

His minimum salary would have been guaranteed if they waited until Saturday, so the writing was on the wall for Moreland. He only managed to appear in three games last season due to a shoulder injury, but we will let you know if he latches on with another NBA team.

Eric Moreland is hoping to impress the Kings with his defense and his hustle.

Moreland is hoping to make the Kings final roster after missing most of last season following shoulder surgery in January and is hoping his intangibles help earn him a spot. "I’ve had two, three coaches so I’ve got to start all over again and show these guys I’m working hard and that I’m out here trying to win," Moreland said. "I’m glad they got a good chance to see me, and hopefully I’ll impress them more in summer league." We'll keep an eye on his roster spot as the summer progresses, but Moreland can be largely ignored in fantasy circles.
Jul 16 - 1:57 PM

Kings big man Eric Moreland said after Tuesday's practice that his surgically-repaired left shoulder "feels really good."

"I’ve been hurt for a long time, so just to be able to move my shoulder any type of way, that feels like a superpower," Moreland said. The Kings drafted Willie Cauley-Stein this summer before adding Kosta Koufos in free agency, assuring that Moreland won't have a substantial role this season.
Jul 7 - 8:45 PM

Eric Moreland said that he started full basketball activities about a month ago.

It looks like Moreland will be 100 percent healthy heading into training camp after sustaining a season-ending shoulder injury during his rookie season. He'll compete for minutes Willie Cauley-Stein, and that's a position battle we'll be watching closely this summer.
Jul 7 - 3:48 PM

The Nuggets and Heat are reportedly interested in acquiring Eric Moreland (shoulder) from the Kings.

Moreland's rookie campaign lasted just three games before he was forced to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery. He doesn't project to be much more than a backup wherever he lands, so he's very unlikely to emerge as a standard league asset during his sophomore season.

Eric Moreland (shoulder) was able to go through some one-on-one drills during Thursday's practice, but he still has not been able to do any contact work.

Moreland will remain sidelined for the remainder of the season, but he should be good to go for Summer League in July. We'll continue to track his progress every step of the way, but he belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Moreland had the procedure on January 3, and he said that he originally sustained the injury during summer league. After trying to battle through it, Moreland had to go under the knife. He's expected to be ready for summer league in July after rehabbing for about six months.

Eric Moreland (left shoulder labral tear) will undergo surgery and miss the rest of the 2014-15 season.

Eric Moreland (left shoulder labral tear) could undergo surgery, according to Kings head coach Ty Corbin.

"Thought we could get through it, thought we could get through most of the season but it’s gotten a little worse," Corbin said of the rookie's shoulder. "Keeps popping out more frequently and now there’s an opportunity to take care of it." While surgery would be a setback for Moreland, there are no fantasy implications to this news as he isn't part of the Kings' rotation.
