Delon Wright had one of the best games of his career in 25 minutes off the bench during a win over the Wizards on Saturday, scoring 18 points with one rebound, four assists, three steals, one block and three 3-pointers.
Obviously the Raptors did not miss Fred VanVleet (shoulder) today. Wright closed this game out and he was on John Wall for basically the entire fourth quarter, and he hit multiple clutch shots to help the Raptors pull away. VanVleet is likely going to play in Game 2, but Wright should still be able to find minutes with play like this. The Delon hive certainly will grow after this outstanding showing in what was really his first real chance at playoff minutes. Apr 14 - 8:17 PM

Delon Wright scored 12 points (3-of-7 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs) with six rebounds, four assists, two steals and two triples in Sunday's win over the Magic.

The Raptors rested DeMar DeRozan tonight, so it's not a surprise to see Wright post a solid line -- the last time DeRozan missed a game, Wright had 10 points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 28 minutes. It's possible the Raptors rest more veterans on Monday and Kyle Lowry would be an obvious candidate, so Wright could be in line for another nice game.
Apr 8 - 8:34 PM

Delon Wright flirted with a triple-double during Wednesday's 96-78 win over Boston, tallying eight points, nine rebounds, eight assists, two steals, two blocks and two turnovers in 27 minutes.

Wright's minutes are too inconsistent to trust him in standard 12-team leagues, but when he does find playing time in the mid-20s, this is the sort of production he's capable of offering. Fred VanVleet was also solid, finishing with 15 points, three triples, three boards, four dimes and zero turnovers in 24 minutes off the bench, and he's been the better reserve to own between these two as his minutes are more consistent.
Apr 5 - 12:04 AM

Delon Wright hit 3-of-6 shots for 10 points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 28 minutes of Tuesday's 93-86 win over the Magic.

DeMar DeRozan sat this one out and Kyle Lowry went off, but only Serge Ibaka, Wright and Norman Powell managed to join Lowry in double-digit scoring. Fred VanVleet was out again with his hand injury and as long as that's the case, Wright looks like a solid fantasy option in most leagues.
Mar 20 - 9:22 PM

Delon Wright earned 31 minutes off the bench on Sunday, finishing with 15 points, two rebounds, eight assists, one 3-pointer, two steals and one turnover.

Wright went 6-of-8 from the field and was a perfect 2-of-2 from the charity stripe for a remarkable 84.5 true shooting percentage, and he took advantage of some increased opportunity with Fred VanVleet (hand) unavailable and Kyle Lowry in foul trouble for much of the game. Wright is capable of producing these sort of stat lines when given the minutes, but his inconsistent run makes him more of a deep league guy.
Mar 18 - 5:14 PM

Delon Wright scored 15 points with five rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers in a start for Kyle Lowry (rest) on Friday night against the Mavs.

We've finally reached the rest portion of the season and the Raptors have to be feeling great about the No. 1 with a five-game lead while the Celtics extremely banged up. Lowry and DeMar DeRozan's minutes should drop, and you can probably bet at least one of those guys will rest on a road-road set for Mar. 20-21. Wright did also close last night and he plays a ton of SG, so it's possible he goes on another one of his heaters. He's worth a look depending on what you're looking forward.
Mar 16 - 11:23 PM

Delon Wright will get the start for Kyle Lowry (rest) against the Mavs on Friday.

Wright played strong defense last night and he even closed out against the Pacers, so he should have a good chance at minutes in the upper 20s. This should also open up some wing minutes, but the Raptors will still run two-PG combos. Anyone who wisely streamed Wright in a B2B just got a huge bonus, but he's not an add here.
Mar 16 - 7:06 PM

Delon Wright scored eight points with one rebound, one steal and one turnover in 19 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday.

He was in Lance Stephenson's head during this game and Wright did close out despite a slow start in the first half. He's hardly a pickup off this line, but he could be worth a stream against Dallas on Friday.
Mar 15 - 10:13 PM

Delon Wright (toe) scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting in his return from a one-game absence on Sunday, adding two 3-pointers, two boards and four assists in 20 minutes off the bench.

The Raptors bench mob destroyed the Knicks in this one, outscoring New York's bench by 40 points and helping Toronto score the second-most points in franchise history in what was a massive blowout. Fred VanVleet also had a solid outing, finishing with 11 points, two triples, two boards, one assist and one turnover in 16 minutes.
Mar 11 - 4:15 PM

Updating a previous report, Delon Wright (toe) is available if needed on Sunday vs. the Knicks.

The Raptors initially ruled him out, but Wright went through warmups and is in uniform on the bench. To be clear, he's still not expected to play.
Mar 11 - 1:12 PM

Delon Wright (toe) and OG Anunoby (ankle) will not play in Sunday's game vs. the Knicks.

Both players were listed as doubtful, so fantasy owners saw this coming. Wright's toe has been an issue for nearly a week and it sounds like he could miss additional time. Fred VanVleet will continue to step up and has played at least 23 minutes in six straight outings, averaging 9.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.2 triples.
Mar 11 - 11:56 AM

Delon Wright (toe) is listed as doubtful on the injury report for Sunday's game vs. the Knicks.

Wright has been dealing with a nagging toe injury since early in the week. He logged just seven minutes on Wednesday and was unable to play Friday. Fred VanVleet will continue to serve as the PG with the second unit. VanVleet was also on the floor in crunch time, alongside Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, in Friday's win over the Rockets.

Mar 10 - 11:58 AM

Delon Wright (toe) has been ruled out of Friday's game vs. the Rockets.

Wright initially injured his toe in Tuesday's win over Atlanta, and then re-aggravated the injury Wednesday vs. the Pistons. He played only seven minutes Wednesday night and was unable to return to the game. Fred VanVleet, who hit the game-winner vs. Detroit, will see an uptick in minutes. Norman Powell could also see some additional playing time.
Mar 9 - 11:11 AM

Delon Wright (toe) is doubtful for Friday against the Rockets.

He stubbed his toe on Tuesday and aggravated it on Wednesday. Fred VanVleet hit a game-winning 3-pointer last night and should get minutes in the 20s. Norman Powell should have another chance to build off his 17-point game, but he's a risky play.

Mar 8 - 4:04 PM

Delon Wright (toe) will not return against the Pistons on Wednesday.

He only lasted seven minutes after what looks like an aggravation. Wright suffered a stubbed toe on Tuesday night and apparently the Raptors just want to shut him down. With him out, it'll be Norman Powell, Malcolm Miller and Fred VanVleet getting a few extra minutes. Pascal Siakam also started the third quarter for the ejected Serge Ibaka.
