T.J. McConnell recorded the first triple-double of his career in Monday's 109-92 win over the Knicks, nothing 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.
What a night for McConnell. He matched his career-high with six steals and hit 5-of-11 shots in 37 minutes, and when he collected his final rebound with about a minute left the home crowd just erupted. He became the first Philadelphia player to ever post a triple-double off the bench and he's firmly on the radar as a pickup since the 76ers have four more games in Weeks 18 and 19 combined (one more this week and three next week). The addition of Marco Belinelli could hurt his value a bit, though. Feb 12 - 10:31 PM

T.J. McConnell scored 17 points with eight dimes, two steals and three 3-pointers against the Clippers on Saturday.

It's possible he's going to lose some minutes to Marco Belinelli, who will be joining the 76ers this week. McConnell has been better than expected and really stepped up while J.J. Redick was out, but he's probably a drop in most leagues.
Feb 10 - 11:05 PM

T.J. McConnell (personal) was back in action on Friday, playing 24 minutes off the bench .

McConnell finished with five points, four assists and three rebounds while adding a steal. He hit 2-of-7 from the field, while hitting 1-of-1 from behind the 3-point line. It wasn't a great performance, but you can't blame him from having his head elsewhere. McConnell missed Wednesday's game to attend his father's funeral.
Jan 27 - 12:49 AM

T.J. McConnell (personal) is not on the injury report against the Spurs on Friday.

He did not play on Wednesday for personal reasons to attend his father's funeral, but it sounds like McConnell will be back out there. He could be looking at some heavy minutes with Jerryd Bayless (wrist) questionable to play and J.J. Redick still out.
Jan 26 - 2:20 PM

T.J. McConnell (personal) will not play Wednesday vs. the Bulls.

McConnell will be attending his father's funeral on Wednesday, and it's unclear if he'll be able to get back out there for Friday's game in San Antonio. If Jerryd Bayless (wrist) is also forced to join McConnell and J.J. Redick (leg) on the sidelines Wednesday, Timothe Luwawu and Justin Anderson could be forced into major minutes.
Jan 23 - 4:04 PM

T.J. McConnell finished with 11 points, seven assists, three rebounds and two assists across 32 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 116-94 win against the Bucks.

McConnell hit 5-of-10 from the field, taking advantage of a slight bump in playing time with Jerryd Bayless (wrist) and J.J. Redick (leg) on the shelf. He is enjoying a season-best four-game streak with double-digit point totals, averaging 14.0 points, 5.5 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game during the four-game span. He is a nice short-term pick-up if you need help at the point guard position, but know his value will dry up once Redick is back in two weeks.
Jan 20 - 10:31 PM

T.J. McConnell scored 15 points with two rebounds, two assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes against the Celtics on Thursday.

He looks to be the winner from the J.J. Redick injury and he should play down the stretch most nights, assuming someone else isn't hot. McConnell was very efficient in this game with his 5-of-8 shooting line, so he probably won't be getting into the teens too often. The 76ers play every other day until their back-to-back starts on Jan. 28, so McConnell is worth a look if you need a boost at PG for the next 11 days while Redick is on the shelf.
Jan 18 - 9:53 PM

T.J. McConnell scored 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting Monday to go with six boards, eight assists, one 3-pointer, three steals, one block and two turnovers in 32 minutes off the bench.

McConnell provided a nice spark off the bench in this chippy game, and with J.J. Redick going down with a left leg contusion, he could be looking at extended minutes on Thursday in Boston if Redick is forced to the sidelines. The scoring comes and goes with McConnell, but he's been flirting with mid-round value since Christmas due to his 5.0 dimes and 2.1 steals per contest, so he's someone to consider swooping up in deep leagues.
Jan 15 - 4:44 PM

The Sixers' four-game win streak was snapped on Thursday, despite T.J. McConnell coming off the bench for 12 points on 6-of-11 shooting, five assists, four rebounds and three steals.

McConnell played 26 minutes today and he continues to be a sneaky source of assists and steals, which has kept him afloat as a late-round option in 12-team leagues. He was averaging 4.0 points in Philly's previous three games, though, and hasn't made a 3-pointer since Christmas Day, so there's not much upside while Ben Simmons and J.J. Redick are healthy.
Jan 11 - 5:59 PM

T.J. McConnell played 34 minutes off the bench and hit 5-of-9 shots for 10 points, three rebounds, six assists and four steals in Thursday's 114-110 loss to the Blazers.

McConnell got some extra run tonight due to Robert Covington leaving early with a left finger injury. If Covington's going to miss time, McConnell could see some extra minutes and touches, but it will likely be matchup based. McConnell has played well in his last two games, averaging 12.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.0 3-pointers.

T.J. McConnell scored 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting during Monday's Christmas Day win in New York, adding two 3-pointers, five boards, four assists, two steals and one turnover in 29 minutes.

McConnell provided a nice spark off the bench, and he played so well during the second half that he actually took away some minutes from Robert Covington. The scoring comes and goes with McConnell, but he's been a steady source of dimes this season, handing out 4.7 assists per contest giving him some deep league value as an assist-specialist.
Mon, Dec 25, 2017 03:20:00 PM

T.J. McConnell hit 5-of-9 shots and a 3-pointer off the bench on Monday, finishing with 11 points, six rebounds, five assists and a block in 31 minutes.

He's been pretty quiet since returning from a shoulder injury three games ago, but played pretty well tonight. He's still not a must-own player as long as he's coming off the bench, but is worth keeping an eye on going forward in case he can stay hot.
Mon, Dec 18, 2017 10:58:00 PM

T.J. McConnell returned from a two-game absence and hit 3-of-4 shots for seven points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal in 26 minutes on Tuesday.

Kiss Jerryd Bayless goodbye and hope that TJM can stay healthy going forward. He's been bothered by a shoulder injury for a couple weeks, but looked pretty good tonight. He's not really worth grabbing in standard leagues, but might be a decent DFS play, or a deep-league add if he is able to stay healthy going forward.

T.J. McConnell (shoulder) will play on Tuesday vs. the Wolves.

McConnell has missed five out of the last six games and coach Brett Brown "didn't like what he saw from the PG at [Tuesday's] shootaround," but he must've looked good in pre-game warmups. With McConnell active, Jerryd Bayless won't see as many minutes tonight. He's a low-end asset with Ben Simmons running most of the offense.

T.J. McConnell (shoulder) appears headed towards a game-time decision for Tuesday's matchup vs. Minnesota.

McConnell, who has missed five of the Sixers last six games, was initially listed as probable. However, coach Brett Brown "didn’t like what he saw from McConnell at [Tuesday's] shootaround." If T.J. is unable to play, Jerryd Bayless will continue to log additional minutes. Daily Slant: With McConnell, Joel Embiid and Robert Covington all looking like game-time decisions, DFS players may have some tough choices to make towards lineup lock if we don't have word in regards to the Sixers inactives - this game tips at 9:30 ET. Fortunately, there is still some safety with the Sixers in the way of Ben Simmons, who will be one of the top overall plays on the board regardless of the status of the players mentioned above. Simmons is an elite play in all formats.
