Rodney Rogers got the start in place of injured Chris Webber tonight, but hit just 1-of-11 shots and finished with three points and six rebounds.
If he continues to start for Webber, he could have some value. Marc Jackson had 22 points and five boards tonight, so it will be interesting to see which guy benefits the most from the loss of Webber. Fri, Apr 1, 2005 10:22:00 PM

Coach Jim O'Brien, saying he doesn't want to alter his rotation that much, plans to use Rodney Rogers to relieve Chris Webber at power forward.

O'Brien said he may even play both guys together on occasion. Rogers will be more valuable to the 76ers than he would be to fantasy owners.

Rodney Rogers arrived in New York within an hour of tipoff and scored six points in his debut for Philly tonight.

He hit 2-of-4 shots and will probably continue to come off the bench behind Kyle Korver and Chris Webber for the Sixers.

Rodney Rogers has been traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.

He'll either take the starting place of starting forward Kenny Thomas, who was traded to Sacramento, or come off the bench behind Kyle Korver. The Sixers lineup is shaking out as Allen Iverson and Andre Iguodala at the guard positions, Rodney Rogers/Kyle Korver and Chris Webber as the forwards and Samuel Dalembert at center. They still have some nice depth as Willie Green, Aaron Mckie and Marc Jackson will all provide relief off the bench.

Rodney Rogers hit just 2-of-14 shots tonight and finished with six points and eight rebounds.

Rogers is a shooter, so he'll have night's like these. His value could take a hit if Lee Nailon ever returns from a groin injury.
Sun, Feb 13, 2005 09:52:00 PM

Rodney Rogers had 20 points, nine rebounds, two assists, three treys and eight turnovers as the Hornets beat the Warriors.

He's playing much better lately and deserves another look at fantasy rosters. The eight turnovers was a team record.

Rodney Rogers had a season-high 23 points and added seven boards and two threes for the Hornets.

He hit 9-of-20 shots in his best game of the season. He has a little fantasy value, but has been very inconsistent.
Sat, Feb 5, 2005 01:16:00 AM

Rodney Rogers had 13 points and 10 rebounds in one of his best games of the season so far.

He hasn't done too much for New Orleans so far, other than stealing rebounds away from Lee Nailon and shooting a poor percentage from the floor. But this game may jump start him, so keep your eye on Rogers.

Rodney Rogers hit just 2-of-11 shots tonight, as he continues to struggle.

He'll continue to log solid minutes, but he may struggle with his shot all year, as he's going to be rusty for awhile. If you pick him up, beware that your FG% could take a hit.
Wed, Jan 12, 2005 10:39:00 PM

Rodney Rogers had 10 points and five rebounds tonight, but hit just 3-of-11 shots for the Hornets in 35 minutes.

The minutes are nice, so he is a good pickup if you need points, rebounds and threes. His shooting will be up and down though, so stay away from him if you already have FG% issues.
Fri, Jan 7, 2005 11:27:00 PM

Rodney Rogers had 19 points, eight rebounds, four threes, two steals and a block tonight in a loss for the Hornets.

Wow, that is very interesting. With Jim Jackson playing the NBA's version of Ricky Williams (minus the weed), Rogers looks to have fantasy value, especially if you need a three-point guy. He hit 7-of-17 shots tonight, after hitting just 5-of-14 in his last game, so you would have to be prepared to deal with off-shooting nights if you pick him up.
Thu, Jan 6, 2005 12:02:00 AM

Rodney Rogers had 10 points and seven rebounds in a start at small forward for the Hornets after missing 24 games with a strained left knee.

With George Lynch injured, Rogers could have some value, although he hit just 5-of-14 shots tonight.
Mon, Jan 3, 2005 11:34:00 PM

Hornets activated forward Rodney Rogers from the injured list.

Rogers missed nearly seven weeks with a strained left knee. He'll battle Lee Nailon for minutes at small forward.
Mon, Jan 3, 2005 06:30:00 PM

Hornets placed forward Rodney Rogers on the injured list because of a strained left knee.

George Lynch and Lee Nailon will get the minutes at small forward for the Hornets.
Sat, Nov 13, 2004 10:09:00 PM

Rodney Rogers will miss at least a month after spraining his knee in practice on Thursday.

David West seems like the obvious choice to replace his minutes off the bench, but the job will likely go to Lee Nailon. While West has undoubted potential, he's been non-existent in the Hornets rotation this season and is playing tentatively. Nailon had 10 points and two rebounds in 13 minutes against the Lakers on Tuesday, and coach Byron Scott is leaning toward upping his minutes. Nailon has no fantasy value at this point.
