The Jazz are not expected to re-sign free agent veteran Brevin Knight.
Knight barely saw the light of day behind Deron Williams last season and the 33-year-old point guard could sign with another team as a backup, but it's unlikely he'll have any fantasy value next season. Sun, Jun 28, 2009 10:25:00 PM

Brevin Knight returned to action on Tuesday, coming off the bench for four points and one assist in eight minutes.

Simply put, Utah's reserve point guard won't have significant value as long as Deron Williams is healthy.

Brevin Knight (bruised quad) will miss his second straight game on Wednesday.

There's no major fantasy impact here, as Knight has been operating as the third-string point guard behind Deron Williams and Ronnie Price even when healthy.

Brevin Knight (bruised quad) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.

It would take an injury to Deron Williams for Knight to have fantasy value, and even then he'd still be in a platoon with Ronnie Price.

Brevin Knight did not play on Sunday, due to a bruised left quadriceps he sustained on Friday against the Kings.

Ronnie Price assumed Knight's backup point guard minutes, and later said he "tweaked" his lower back in the game's final seconds. If these injuries continue to be a problem on Wednesday, Deron Williams could see some big minutes against the Lakers.

Brevin Knight returned from a thumb injury but failed to score in 14 minutes of Friday's loss.

Knight has no fantasy value as long as Deron Williams can walk.

Brevin Knight left Thursday's game against the Mavs with an inflamed left thumb, after totaling one rebound and two assists without scoring a point.

Knight's status for Friday's game against the Warriors is still in doubt, but he won't have a fantasy impact one way or another.

Jazz point guard Brevin Knight played 11 minutes on Tuesday after getting elbowed in the throat during Saturday's game.

Knight was briefly hospitalized with swelling in his windpipe. His value is negligible as long as Deron Williams is healthy.

Jazz point guard Brevin Knight (throat) was released from the hospital on Sunday and will be a game-time decision for Tuesday.

Tests showed nothing worse than some swelling, which is great news. He barely had value while Deron Williams was sidelined, so don't give him a second thought.

Jazz point guard Brevin Knight left Saturday's game after being hit in the throat. He was taken to a hospital where a CT Scan showed swelling but no tearing. He will be kept overnight for observation.

The doctors didn't want Knight to fly and risk further swelling, so he will stay in Phoenix while the team returns to Utah. His status for Tuesday's game is unknown.

Brevin Knight returned to action on Friday from a finger injury and had two points and three assists on 1-of-4 shooting.

He has no value unless Deron Williams goes down again. Let's just hope lightning doesn't strike twice.

Jazz point guard Brevin Knight missed his fourth consecutive game with a sprained finger on Tuesday.

Knight is averaging 5.5 points and 4.3 assists in 20 minutes this season, and even those modest numbers will go down now that Deron Williams is healthy. Look elsewhere for value.

Brevin Knight practiced Monday and is probable to play against the Kings on Tuesday.

As long as Deron Williams is healthy, Knight has no fantasy value.

Brevin Knight left Monday's game in the fourth quarter with what the Jazz TV crew reports is a sprained finger.

What little fantasy value Knight has is on the verge of disappearing with the expected return of Deron Williams on Wednesday.

Brevin Knight returned from a groin injury Friday but scored just two points.

It's possible he could still have a little value in deep leagues, but should be dropped as soon as Deron Williams returns to action.
