Coach Jacque Vaughn hinted on Friday that the Magic could run a faster tempo next season.
"I think you will see us have the ability to fly around the court. We’re going to be able to be aggressive, on D and create havoc," Vaughn said. The Magic ranked 16th in pace last season and 29th in offensive efficiency, which led to them ranking 29th in points per game. The Magic have the personnel to run a bit faster, so it could lead to better fantasy output all around. Jun 27 - 7:39 PM

The Magic have exercised their fourth-year options on coach Jacque Vaughn and GM Rob Hennigan for the 2015-16 season.

It ensures neither man will have lame-duck status next season. Vaughn has gone a woeful 43-121 (.262) in two years as Orlando's head coach, but they're committed to the rebuilding process. He's done a reasonable job developing core building blocks Victor Oladipo and Nik Vucevic.

Jacque Vaughn will join the Spurs coaching staff as an assistant this season.

Vaughn formerly played for the Spurs and spent 12 seasons in the league before retiring at the end of the 2009 season.

Jacque Vaughn scored 10 points on 3-of-7 shooting with two rebounds and six assists in 23 minutes on Sunday.

Vaughn split time with rookie George Hill at PG, and will likely be the steadying hand to Hill's inexperience. There's definitely not enough value between them to have it split for fantasy owners' purposes, but if one of them emerges with starter's minutes that could change.

Jacque Vaughn got another start for the Spurs on Wednesday, as Damon Stoudamire continues to come off the bench. The two point guards combined for two points on 1-of-12 shooting, four rebounds and five assists in 36 minutes.

The Spurs must be pretty eager to get Tony Parker (ankle) back, and neither Vaughn nor Stoudamire has fantasy value at the moment.

Jacque Vaughn came off the Spurs bench on Thursday and chipped in 17 points, two assists and three steals.

Vaughn is likely to remain on the bench, even though Tony Parker is out, because of the imminent signing of point guard Damon Stoudamire. Don't look to Vaughn outside of deep leagues.

Jacque Vaughn started in place of injured Tony Parker and had four points, four assists and four rebounds in Tuesday's loss.

There's talk of the Spurs signing Damon Stoudamire, who would likely immediately become a starter for as long as Parker is out with his heel injury.

Jacque Vaughn had 14 points and four assists in another start at point guard for injured Tony Parker.

Parker shouldn't be out for too much longer, meaning Vaughn will go back into fantasy oblivion in the near future.

Jacque Vaughn started as the Spurs' point guard on Thursday in place of injured Tony Parker (ankle), and finished the game with seven points on 1-of-7 shooting, four rebounds and three assists in 19 minutes.

Parker is expected to miss one or two more games for the Spurs, so Vaughn could theoretically have some short-term value. Seldom-used backup guard Darius Washington also got some burn, finishing with three points in 11 minutes. Judging by the numbers they put up in this game, we can't recommend that you pick up either of these guys.

Jacque Vaughn has returned for the Spurs, and rookie Darius Washington has barely played since. In addition, Ian Mahinmi was de-activated to make room for Vaughn on the Spurs' roster.

Washington and Mahinmi could both end up in the Developmental League sooner rather than later, but Vaughn doesn't have any value either, unless Tony Parker goes down.

On Thursday, Jacque Vaughn returned from a nagging calf injury and played his first game of the season, finishing with three points in 15 minutes of play.

Vaughn doesn't have any fantasy value, but it's always nice to scratch a name off the injury report.

Jacque Vaughn, who suffered a calf pull in the first week of training camp, could be back by next weekend's games against Dallas and Houston.

"We've got Milwaukee Sunday and L.A. Tuesday and he won’t play in either of those games," Popovich said, "but we'll start to look at him seriously for Dallas and Houston and see if he's ready."

Spurs backup point guard Jacque Vaughn remains out with a left calf injury.

Vaughn has not completed a full practice since straining a muscle early in training camp and no timetable has been set for his return. Vaughn has been cleared for light shooting, but will not play tonight against Sacramento. "It's all about rest and conditioning, rest and conditioning," Vaughn said. "It's a balancing act."

Jacque Vaughn sat out Tuesday's game with a right calf injury.

He should offer no fantasy value this season.
Tue, Oct 23, 2007 11:13:00 PM

Backup point guard Jacque Vaughn re-signed with the Spurs on Thursday.

Terms weren't disclosed, but the contract was a multi-year deal. Vaughn averaged just three points and two assists as Tony Parker's backup last season.
