Magic PG Anthony Johnson didn't practice on Tuesday because of the flu.

We're calling him questionable for Thursday's game, though his availability has no impact in fantasy leagues. Dwight Howard's owners are probably hoping that Johnson is quarantined for the rest of the season.

Magic veteran Anthony Johnson was available to play on Friday after missing one game with a strained groin.

He never entered the game, and isn't likely to make any noise in fantasy leagues while Jameer Nelson and Jason Williams are around.

Anthony Johnson (groin strain) participated in the morning walkthrough Friday but there is no word on his status for Friday night's game.

Johnson's not worth much even if he's healthy as long as Jameer Nelson is in the lineup.

Anthony Johnson - G - Magic

Anthony Johnson hit 6-of-10 shots and three 3-pointers for a season-high 17 points to go along with three assists in just 21 minutes of Thursday's win over the Hawks.

Johnson was far more effective than starter Jason Williams tonight, but it could have been a fluke. Keep an eye on AJ, but Williams is still the better fantasy bet for success until Jameer Nelson returns from knee surgery.

Anthony Johnson - G - Magic

Anthony Johnson will play Sunday against the Thunder after missing Friday's game for personal reasons.

He left the team due to the death of his father-in-law, and didn't get back in time for shootaround. Given the fact that the Magic are down to nine players, he could get some decent minutes, but you would have to be really desperate to take that plunge.

Magic coach Stan Van Gundy says there is a "pretty good" competition at backup PG, between veterans Anthony Johnson and Jason Williams.

As long as Jameer Nelson is healthy, it shouldn't matter to fantasy owners who is backing him up.

Veteran point guard Anthony Johnson intends to opt-in for the final year of his contract with the Magic.

Johnson admitted it was hard sitting out during the NBA Finals, when Jameer Nelson's return bumped him from the rotation, but won't let that affect his plans. "I’m 35-years-old and a point guard," he said. "Not a big contract to be gotten, so I’m going to opt in and be with the Magic."

The league has rescinded Anthony Johnson's Game 3 flagrant foul which he earned for elbowing Cavs guard Mo Williams in the eye while driving to the hoop.

Williams needed four stitches and afterward called it a "cheap shot", but league officials obviously don't agree. Game 4 will be played in Orlando on Tuesday night.

Magic point guard Anthony Johnson got into a heated argument with coach Stan Van Gundy during the third quarter of Friday's game, but it appears to have blown over quickly.

"If something like that happened all the time, it might be a problem," said Van Gundy. "But I was frustrated, and he was frustrated. It's just the emotions of the playoffs. Everything is fine." Johnson is expected to come off the bench when Rafer Alston returns from his suspension in Game 4.

Anthony Johnson returned from a two-game absence with an eye injury for six points, two rebounds, two assists and a three in 16 minutes of Friday's loss to the Knicks.

He has no fantasy value in most leagues, but he was back to offer Rafer Alston some relief.

Anthony Johnson (right eye abrasion) will be a game-time decision against the Knicks on Friday.

This game-time decision shouldn't be effecting owners, and Tyronn Lue will pick up the backup point guard minutes. Neither Johnson or Lue should be considered in fantasy leagues.

Anthony Johnson missed Tuesday's game with an eye injury.

"Scratched cornea. You got an old pair of sunglasses I can borrow?" Johnson said. "I really wanted to play all 82 this year. Should be just a couple days." Rafer Alston will get some extra minutes and could have a big night against his former team, the Rockets.
