Antawn Jamison finally had his exit interview with GM Mitch Kupchak on Thursday, a source told ESPN Los Angeles.
No matter how it's spun publicly, Jamison won't be back with the Lakers next season. He clashed with Mike D'Antoni, never lived up to the hype and averaged a measly 9.4 points. May 3 - 9:20 AM

Antawn Jamison had successful wrist surgery on Tuesday, a source told ESPN Los Angeles.

The same source also said that Jamison did not deliberately miss his exit interview, but the Lakers tried to contact him a handful of times and Jamison still wound up skipping out. Regardless, he's not expected back with the team next season.
Apr 30 - 12:34 PM

Antawn Jamison is not expected back with the Lakers next season.

Jamison skipped his exit interview with the team on Monday despite the team trying to contact him, so that will guarantee he won't return next year. He wasn't coming back on another veteran's minimum deal anyway and had clashed with Mike D'Antoni previously.
Apr 30 - 8:28 AM

Antawn Jamison will have surgery on his right wrist on Tuesday.

It's an expected move and Jamison has been dealing his ailing wrist since March 22 expressing his discomfort just about every step of the way. He should be ready for next season, but his role is a bit unclear.
Apr 29 - 7:39 PM

Prior to Sunday's Game 4 blowout loss, Antawn Jamison described his wrist as "bad" and plans to get surgery in the coming weeks.

Jamison has played through a ligament issue in his right (shooting) wrist for a while, and ever since he sustained the injury he was not as effective. After Jamison took a discount to try and win a title with the Lakers, it wouldn't surprise us to see him go to a team like Charlotte, close to his home, and desperate for veteran leadership.
Apr 29 - 8:37 AM

Antawn Jamison (wrist) played just 10 minutes in his return to the lineup Friday.

Jamison's wrist is in really bad shape and he's expected to undergo surgery in the offseason. Jamison didn't score Friday and had just two rebounds and one assist against the Warriors. With Kobe Bryant (Achilles) out for the season, the Lakers will need all the scoring they can get, but there's likely not enough time left for him to impact your fantasy lineup.
Apr 13 - 4:28 AM

Antawn Jamison had just five points, three rebounds and a 3-pointer in 15 minutes on Wednesday, when he aggravated his wrist injury in the second half.

Jamison's wrist is in terrible shape and he'll almost surely need surgery in the offseason. And he was clearly in serious pain tonight when it got hit. The Lakers may have to shut him down until the playoffs, although he said after the game he plans on getting treatment on Thursday and continue playing through it. Watch for updates (and think about looking for a replacement) if you own him.
Apr 11 - 1:03 AM

Antawn Jamison had 13 points, eight rebounds and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes on Tuesday.

His wrist is clearly bothering him, and will until he likely has offseason surgery, but he is starting to come on for the Lakers, as they fight for a playoff bid.
Apr 10 - 2:05 AM

Antawn Jamison scored 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including two threes) with five rebounds and one steal in 25 minutes on Friday.

Jamison is dealing with a bad shooting wrist but he could very well be deployed similarly with the Lakers clinging to playoff life. He's a deep league asset at best however given his consistency and health issues.
Apr 6 - 2:36 AM

Antawn Jamison said that his wrist is "killing" him but he will continue to gut it out.

This really isn't news and Jamison is playing through a slightly torn ligament, so it's hardly surprising that he's in a lot of pain. Jamison shot 40.5 percent in his previous five and is a low-end option in standard leagues.
Apr 5 - 9:50 PM

Antawn Jamison played through his right wrist injury and shot the ball well, making 5-of-10 from the field for 13 points with seven boards, one block and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes.

It didn't seem to bother him quite as much as it did on Wednesday and he wasn't bashful about taking shots. Jamison was using a squeeze ball to test the strength in his wrist and the training staff is keeping a close eye on him. The Lakers are thin on the bench and Jamison is worth owning in standard leagues.
Mar 28 - 10:40 PM

Antawn Jamison says his wrist is still sore but he plans to play through the injury.

If Dwight Howard can play through a torn labrum, Kobe Bryant a severely sprained ankle and Steve Nash through a fractured fibula, then Jamison can play through a "stinger" in his wrist. Jamison is expected to be in the lineup Thursday and should see extra minutes with Metta World Peace (knee) out for the rest of the season.
Mar 28 - 7:00 PM

Antawn Jamison (wrist) suffered a "stinger" on Wednesday which forced him to sit out the final eight minutes, but he vowed to play on Thursday against the Bucks.

Jamison had 18 points (two triples) with five boards and a block, and although he was forced out of action, it doesn't sound like he plans to take any time off. Jamison played a shade under 26 minutes before going down, so a reasonable expectation for him going forward could be about 25-30 without Metta World Peace (knee) in the lineup.
Mar 28 - 9:12 AM

Antawn Jamison played through his wrist injury on Wednesday and had 18 points, five boards, a block and two 3-pointers on 6-of-10 shooting.

He aggravated his wrist injury in the second half, but played through it. The Lakers need him more than ever with Metta World Peace's regular season over due to knee surgery, so watch for updates to see if Jamison will continue to play through it. Jamison came off the bench tonight, with Jodie Meeks starting at SG and Kobe Bryant sliding over to small forward.
Mar 28 - 12:43 AM

Antawn Jamison was in pain and grabbing his wrist in the second half of Wednesday's game and had to depart from the game.

He suffered ligament damage to his right wrist and also mentioned that he'd likely undergo surgery after the season. It's going to bother him and since it's to his shooting wrist, his owners have every right to be concerned. Pau Gasol will be busy now that he's back.
