Vince Carter scored six points with five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday.
JaKarr Sampson was in foul trouble, so that explains the minutes as VC was a stretch four. Carter likely won't be seeing this much run, but it's great to see him out there after his kidney stone issue last month. Dec 9 - 2:41 AM

Vince Carter (kidney stones) played nine minutes on Wednesday, finishing with two points, one rebound and one block.

VC wound up missing seven games, but his return doesn't have a clear fantasy impact -- Sacramento's rotations are already chaotic, and Carter hasn't played more than 18 minutes in a game all season. It's nice to see him healthy, though.
Nov 23 - 1:20 AM

Vince Carter (illness) practiced on Tuesday and said he was "ready to get back on the court."

Carter has missed each of the Kings last seven games due to complications from kidney stones. However, it appears he will make his return Wednesday when the Kings host the Lakers. Buddy Hield (ankle) was also able to practice on Tuesday. If both Carter and Hield return on Wednesday, they'll cut into the playing time of Garrett Temple, George Hill, and Bogdan Bogdanovic
Nov 21 - 5:26 PM

Vince Carter (illness) will miss Monday's matchup with the Nuggets.

This will be Carter's seventh consecutive game on the sidelines due to kidney stones, and the Kings haven't given any clues as to when we can expect him back. Buddy Hield (ankle) will also be missing tonight's game, so Bogdan Bogdanovic should be able to get close to 30 minutes of floor time.
Nov 20 - 2:32 PM

Vince Carter (illness) will not play Saturday vs. the Blazers.

This will be the sixth straight game Carter has missed due to his kidney stones issue. Buddy Hield (ankle) has also been ruled out on Saturday. Garrett Temple, George Hill, and Bogdan Bogdanovic will be the biggest beneficiaries in terms of playing time.
Nov 18 - 12:34 PM

Vince Carter (illness) will not play on Friday against the Blazers.

The kidney stones issue will keep him out for over a week and hopefully he's doing well. Buddy Hield, Garrett Temple, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Justin Jackson, Malachi Richardson and George Hill could play slightly more, but the rotation is a total mess.
Nov 16 - 10:12 PM

Vince Carter (illness) will not play against the Hawks on Wednesday.

He's been out since Thursday because of kidney stones, so hopefully he's doing well. Buddy Hield has picked it up since Carter has missed time while Justin Jackson, Malachi Richardson and Bogdan Bogdanovic should play slightly more.
Nov 15 - 4:45 PM

Vince Carter (kidney stones) will not play on Monday vs. the Wizards.

This will be Carter's third game in a row on the shelf and it's not clear when he will return. Justin Jackson has played 25+ minutes in three straight games, while guys like Garrett Temple, Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic could see a bump in minutes in Carter's absence as well -- Sacramento's rotations seem to change on a daily basis.
Nov 13 - 11:39 AM

Vince Carter (kidney stones) is out against the Knicks on Saturday.

It'll be his second game out of the lineup and hopefully VC is feeling OK. With him out, we saw Justin Jackson play the best game of his career with 19 points on Thursday while Garrett Temple, Malachi Richardson and Buddy Hield should see more run.
Nov 11 - 6:32 PM

Vince Carter (illness) has been ruled out against the 76ers on Thursday.

He is dealing with kidney stones, so all the best to the future Hall of Fame swingman. The Kings rotation has been the messiest in the NBA and it's possible coach Dave Joerger gives all of Carter's minutes to Malachi Richardson in the second unit. It's also possible that VC's minutes are going to be spread to the other wings.
Nov 9 - 7:43 PM

Vince Carter (illness) is questionable to play against the 76ers on Thursday.

The Kings have actually used Carter for 16.5 minutes per game over the last two. Carter played most of his minutes with Buddy Hield and the second unit guys, so maybe coach Dave Joerger just throws Malachi Richardson in Carter's spot. If not, maybe Josh Jackson, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Hield and Temple could see a few extra minutes.
Nov 9 - 2:52 PM

Vince Carter played six minutes against the Nuggets on Saturday.

He'll be a first-ballot Hall of Fame player, but the Kings are using him as more of an extension of the coaching staff. If you miss watching Carter this year, you can probably spend a day on YouTube looking at his dunk reel.
Oct 22 - 12:42 AM

Kings coach Dave Joerger plans to "periodically" rest his veterans this season, according to beat writer Jason Jones.

The Kings brought in veterans Vince Carter, Zach Randolph and George Hill this offseason, to help mentor their young core. Garrett Temple and Kosta Koufos could also be candidates for occasional DNP-CDs, although Carter and Z-Bo figure to get the most rest. Joerger wants his veterans to "help teach from the sideline" when they're not playing, and fantasy owners can expect uneven returns from the Kings' older guys this season.
Oct 9 - 12:14 AM

Vince Carter has agreed to a one-year, $8 million deal with the Kings.

The Kings continue to add players from winning organizations with VC joining Zach Randolph and George Hill. Carter has said he's looking to play 1-2 more years, so it's possible this is his last season. The good news for the Kings is that they only have Carter on a one-year deal, which isn't the case for Hill and Z-Bo. Carter likely won't be asked to do much in his season with the Kings.
Jul 6 - 8:30 PM

Vince Carter's meeting with Sacramento reportedly "went well."

This is the obligatory "went well" report for Carter, who is reportedly considering offers from three other NBA clubs. Despite almost being 41 years old, Carter remains capable of offering help to an NBA squad's second unit, although his fantasy value will be non-existent regardless of the name across the front of his jersey.
