Nazr Mohammed will likely retire from the NBA.
"I really don't know," Mohammed said of his future. "I think that's the last game. I'm not going to be actively kind of pursuing to play. I might be sitting over there with you guys next time, you never know, but I'm not going to actively pursue to play." The 38-year-old big man was simply a locker room guy for the Thunder this season, but his playing days are likely over. Mon, Jun 20, 2016 10:42:00 AM

Nazr Mohammed will reportedly sign a contract with the Thunder that will keep him with the team for the remainder of the 2015-16 season.

Mohammed will bring some veteran leadership to the club, but he's not going to be a part of the rotation in OKC. Leave him on the wire.

Nazr Mohammed is still leaning towards retiring from the NBA.

"Right now I’m just relaxing, hanging with the family," Mohammed said. "I’m staying in shape, just in case I change my mind. As of this moment, I’m not thinking about playing." Even if Mohammed gets a call from an NBA team, he won't have more than a limited role.

Nazr Mohammed is contemplating retirement.

Mohammed said that is body feels "great," but he's only willing to suit up for 8-9 NBA teams. Mohammed is at the point in his career where he's only willing to play for a championship caliber squad, and it'll be interesting to see if the feeling is mutual. Mohammed could be described as a glue guy in the locker room, but his career averages of 5.8 points and 4.7 rebounds tell you about all you need to know of his non-existent fantasy value.

Nazr Mohammed said that he plans on playing next season and is confident that a team will pick him up.

He will be entering his 18th season in the league, but the veteran likely feels that he could be a valuable addition to a contender. Mohammed averaged just 1.2 points and 1.7 boards in 23 regular-season appearances for the Bulls, so he would likely have a very limited role regardless of where he lands. In case it isn't obvious, Mohammed is not on the fantasy radar.

Nazr Mohammed has re-signed with the Bulls.

Mohammed will play in a reserve role in a crowded Chicago frontcourt. He averaged just 1.6 points, and 2.2 rebounds through seven minutes of action with the Bulls last season, and he can safely be ignored in all formats.

The Heat, looking to add another veteran center to their roster, summoned unrestricted free agent Nazr Mohammed for a workout and meeting with team executives on Thursday.

The Heat are reportedly most intrigued by unrestricted free agent Emeka Okafor, but he may not be ready to suit up until midseason as he's still recovering from a herniated disk in his back. The Miami organization has also expressed interest in unrestricted free agent Andray Blatche. Mohammed is the least enticing of the three.

Nazr Mohammed played six minutes against the Magic on Wednesday.

He had a sprained middle finger on Monday and he didn't look to be bothered by the injury. Mohammed has no value in fantasy leagues at age 36.

Nazr Mohammed suffered a sprained middle finger on Monday and is questionable to return.

He was in a little bit of pain and we'll be on the lookout for any information. Mohammed has very little fantasy value.

The Bulls and Nazr Mohammed have verbally agreed to a one-year contract at the veteran's minimum, according to CSN's Aggrey Sam.

The deal doesn't exactly shake up the FA market, but it's a solidifying move for the Bulls' frontcourt. Nazr even wound up starting 12 games for Chicago last season while Joakim Noah was hurt, averaging 7.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. He isn't likely to approach those numbers in a 10-15 minute role this season.

Tom Thibodeau said he'd like to have Nazr Mohammed return next season.

"Hopefully we’ll have an opportunity with him, but again, you don’t know what the market will call for," Thibodeau said. It would be surprising if Mohammed got an offer above the veteran's minimum, so if the Bulls want him back, it shouldn't be hard to work out a new deal.

Nazr Mohammed said he isn't expecting further punishment from the league office after being ejected Friday night.

Mohammed was tossed after shoving LeBron James to a ground, a move that drew heated reactions from Mohammed's teammates. Nate Robinson called LeBron a good actor and coach Tom Thibodeau hinted there's a conspiracy to give the Heat favorable calls in the series. Regardless of whether LeBron flopped, there were no punches thrown and it was a fairly brief incident, so we're not expecting Mohammed to face further sanctions either.

Nazr Mohammed was ejected from Friday's game for shoving LeBron James after the whistle.

Mohammed committed a hard foul on James, then after LeBron took him down and received a technical foul, Mohammed shoved LeBron to the ground. Mohammed played just 11.5 minutes per game in the first two games of the series, so this isn't a big loss for the Bulls.

Nazr Mohammed will start for the Bulls on Wednesday and Marco Belinelli will come off the bench.

It's a late move, but moving Nazr into the starting lineup makes some sense since the Bulls are going to play their starters limited minutes. They will start Kirk Hinrich, Jimmy Butler, Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer along side Mohammed.

Nazr Mohammed double-doubled vs. the Raptors on Friday with 16 points and 13 boards, adding one steal and one block in 43 minutes.

He didn't play a minute on Thursday, so it was a mild surprise to see him log this many tonight. Taj Gibson is expected to be back in the next two games, so owners shouldn't think about grabbing Nazr unless they're in desperation mode.
