The Nets will introduce Kenny Atkinson as head coach on Monday.
Atkinson is the new lead man in Brooklyn, where he and GM Sean Marks have a long road filled with lots of hard work ahead. Although he's revered in the league and is expected to find success in the role, there will be plenty of eyeballs watching Atkinson as he's now Brooklyn's fourth head coach in as many seasons. Hawks' assistance coach Kenny Atkinson has reportedly agreed to a multi-year deal to become the next head coach of the Nets.

Atkinson has spent the past two seasons serving as one of Mike Budenholzer's top assistants, and he's widely viewed as one of the most prepared assistant coaches to take over as a head coach. He'll be Brooklyn's fourth head coach in as many seasons.

The Nets have reportedly expressed interest in bringing on Ettore Messina, Ime Udoka, or Jeff Van Gundy as their next full time head coach.

There are sure to be many more names added to this list throughout the offseason, but it's looking like Nets' GM Sean Marks does not view current interim head coach Tony Brown as a long-term solution.

The Nets have named Sean Marks as their general manager on Thursday.

Just in time for the trade deadline. While it's not the ideal situation to hire a general manager just hours short of the trade deadline, the Nets were lacking a decision-maker and will now presumably be able to move forward with any deals. We'll keep an eye on the news out of Brooklyn, but this move could prime the pump for some Thursday moves from the Nets.

Sean Marks is reportedly leaning towards rejecting Brooklyn's offer to become the new GM of the Nets.

The Spurs are reportedly grooming Marks for a higher position in San Antonio's front office, so it would be far from shocking to see Marks choose to remain with a highly regarded and stable front office rather than attaching his name to one of the more dysfunctional franchises in the league.

The Nets have reportedly offered their GM position to Spurs' assistant GM, Sean Marks.

While Marks appears to be Brooklyn's first choice for the job, Nuggets' assistant GM Arturas Karnisovas, two-time NBA executive of the year Bryan Colangelo and Houston vice president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas still remain in the conversation. It doesn't seem likely that the Nets will make a trade deadline move without an official GM in place, so the timing of the hiring will likely dictate what Brooklyn does at the deadline.

The Spurs have installed Sean Marks as their assistant GM, after he spent last year as one of Gregg Popovich's assistant coaches.

In addition to Marks' move to the front office, San Antonio announced five more personnel moves on Tuesday. The Spurs enriched their international flavor, as pointed out by beat writer Mike Monroe, since the six staffers hails variously from Australia, Canada, Spain and the U.S.

Former NBA big man Sean Marks will join the Spurs as an assistant coach this season.

Marks retired in 2011 after an 11-year NBA career. A position on the Spurs' coaching staff suggests he'll have a fruitful career on the sidelines -- Gregg Popovich's assistants have repeatedly been poached by other teams in need of a head coach, including this summer's departure of Brett Brown (76ers) and Mike Budenholzer (Hawks).

Sean Marks is retiring from the NBA after 11 seasons.

Marks played for six teams during his career, and he also had a few stints overseas. He expects to take a front-office job with the Spurs, so his career in professional basketball is far from over.

Sean Marks suffered a left hand injury in practice and is getting X-rays.

This could matter if the Blazers trade Marcus Camby and Joel Przybilla, but Marks shouldn't have much fantasy value even if it happens.

Sean Marks was pressed into action after starting center Dante Cunningham left Monday's game with an ankle injury, and finished with six points on 2-of-7 shooting with five rebounds, one steal, and two blocks in 24 minutes.

He is worth a look as a spot-start in deeper leagues for the desperate, but that's just about it. Once any one of Cunningham, Marcus Camby (shoulder), Joel Przybilla (ankle) returns to action, he's back to being irrelevant in fantasy leagues.
