D.J. Mbenga has agreed to a deal to with Qingdao in China.

He'll join Tracy McGrady and he might be even less likely to return to the NBA than T-Mac. Mbenga played 6.7 minutes per game in his NBA career.

Former Mavericks big man D.J. Mbenga was arrested in Dallas on Tuesday for public intoxication.

Mbenga was waived by the Mavs earlier this month, but apparently he told the arresting police officers that he was on the verge of signing with the Raptors. It remains to be seen whether that is true, or whether this incident will impact his chances of re-signing in the NBA.

If Mbenga gets through waivers unclaimed, which he should, he's ticketed for the D-League.

D.J. Mbenga and the Mavericks have a "comprehensive program outlined to springboard him back to the NBA."

It sounds fancy, but it really isn't. The Mavs will bring him to training camp, waive him, hope he clears waivers and then assign him to the D-League. President of basketball operations Donnie Nelson believes Mbenga can be "one of the top centers in the D-League if healthy."

Updating a previous item, D.J. Mbenga is likely headed to the D-League.

Mbenga will be brought to training camp, but the Mavs have 15 players with guaranteed contracts. In all likelihood, he'll be an insurance policy in the D-League in case of injury. At least nobody can take away his two championship rings.

D.J. Mbenga has reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with the Mavericks.

Mbenga will get an invite to training camp, and it's hard to imagine his deal being anything more than just a partially guaranteed contract. He's going to have a very difficult time making the final roster with his limited skill set. He has absolutely no fantasy value.

The Clippers are searching for another big man and worked out D.J. Mbenga, Hilton Armstrong, Solomon Jones and Dan Gadzuric on Monday.

Whoever they sign, if any of these guys, won't be worth owning in fantasy, but could help the Clippers defensively.

D.J. Mbenga has been cut from the Belgian national team.

It appears that this move was largely a basketball decision, as basketball writer Wendell Maxey recently saw Mbenga play and classified his go-to moves as "turnovers and missed layups." Mbenga appeared in 41 games for the Hornets last season, averaging just 1.4 points per game.

D.J. Mbenga (flu) returned to action on Friday, playing 12 minutes off the bench with no points on 0-for-2 shooting, one rebound, one steal, and one block.

He is way too buried on the bench to matter in fantasy leagues.

Hornets center D.J. Mbenga stayed in New Orleans on Sunday, battling the same illness that had sidelined David West.

So far the Hornets have avoided a Magic-style outbreak, and Mbenga's absence shouldn't make any difference in fantasy leagues.

The Hornets signed center D.J. Mbenga, who last played for the Lakers, to a contract.

Mbenga has a couple rings and tends to be a fan favorite, but it's hard to imagine him getting much run for the Hornets.
