Jason Terry played less than one minute on Friday with one turnover.
He can be dropped in almost all leagues. Terry won't have much value unless Ty Lawson gets bumped from the rotation or Pat Beverley gets hurt again. Nov 28 - 1:37 AM

Jason Terry scored 13 points against the Grizzlies on Wednesday with two rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers in 29 minutes.

His minutes will be trending down, but apparently he's ahead of Ty Lawson in the rotation. At best, Terry is probably only looking at minutes in the high teens once Patrick Beverley is back to 100 percent.
Nov 26 - 12:26 AM

Jason Terry will start against the Grizzlies.

He might have a short leash tonight with Pat Beverley (ankle) returning. Fantasy owners might want to stash Beverley, but all three point guards should be benched.
Nov 25 - 8:03 PM

Jason Terry started on Wednesday against the Blazers with five points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

Ty Lawson is quickly falling out of favor with the Rockets and he might only be getting minutes in the teens at this rate. Terry is probably just keeping the seat warm for Patrick Beverley (ankle), but he doesn't have a timetable to return. Terry is only worth a look in deep leagues for short-term value.
Nov 18 - 11:43 PM

Jason Terry will start Wednesday's game against the Blazers, sending Ty Lawson to the bench.

This is the first lineup change by interim head coach J.B. Bickerstaff, but it was one that was being discussed prior to Kevin McHale's firing. Lawson has been painfully ineffective as a starter, but perhaps he can get things to move in the right direction by being given more ball handling responsibilities with the second-unit. As for Terry, he could chip in a couple treys as a starter, but he's well past his days of being relevant in most leagues. If Lawson has more success as a reserve, Patrick Beverley (ankle) will likely enter the starting five once he's healthy.
Nov 18 - 7:45 PM

Jason Terry did not travel to play on Thursday.

It's just rest for the veteran. Terry's minutes should dip this year with Ty Lawson around, so he's not worth drafting in almost any league.
Oct 15 - 7:43 PM

Jason Terry said that James Harden was "all over him" during free agency, and that Harden wasn't going to let Terry go anywhere as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

"No question, he was all over me," Terry said. "[Harden] basically wasn’t letting me go anywhere. That was tough for me knowing how important I am to his growth and his development. You’re not the main guy, but the main guy needs you. It makes it a lot easier to come back." Terry said that he turned down a more lucrative deal from New Orleans in order to return to Houston, and he'll resume his role as a veteran leader for the Rockets. However, the addition of Ty Lawson will lead to even fewer minutes for JET, so he can be ignored in most leagues on draft day.
Aug 20 - 6:09 PM

Jason Terry has reportedly told the Rockets he'll return to the team on a one-year deal.

Terry had been mulling an offer from the New Orleans Hornets, but will return to Houston for the veteran's minimum. While the 37-year-old helps provide the Rockets with veteran backcourt depth, he won't help fantasy owners in standard leagues after averaging just 21.3 minutes per game last season.

Jason Terry has reportedly agreed to re-sign with the Rockets on a one-year contract.

The Pelicans need a backup PG and they reportedly had an offer on the table, but Terry opted to stay in Houston as part of a deep backcourt that includes James Harden, Ty Lawson, Patrick Beverley and Marcus Thornton. The veteran combo guard will be lucky to reach the 21.3 minutes he averaged last season, ensuring that he won't help fantasy owners in standard leagues.

Jason Terry has an offer from the Pelicans, according to Mark Berman of FOX 26 Houston.

Perhaps no team needs guard depth more than the Pelicans. Terry showed he still has a little left in the tank during the playoffs last season, averaging 9.2 points, 2.2 boards, 2.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.7 treys. He will likely back up Eric Gordon and play mostly shooting guard.
Aug 7 - 6:29 PM

The Rockets have reportedly made an offer to unrestricted free agent Jason Terry.

Negotiations are not yet complete, as per a source with knowledge of the offer, but it sounds like Terry will be returning to the Rockets for at least once more season. The 37-year-old will help provide the Rockets with some veteran leadership off the bench, but JET won't see enough minutes to be relevant in standard fantasy leagues at this stage of his career.
Jul 30 - 8:59 AM

With the Rockets sending away two guards in the Ty Lawson trade, it's now even more likely that Jason Terry re-signs with Houston during free agency, according to sources of Marc Stein.

The Rockets have long been rumored to be the frontrunners for retaining Terry's services, so it would be surprising if he signs elsewhere. He's a glue guy in the locker room, but after averaging just 7.0 points and 1.6 three-pointers with the Rockets last season, he can be ignored in most fantasy leagues.
Jul 19 - 10:37 PM

Jason Terry is close to re-signing with the Houston Rockets, according to Shams Charania of RealGM.

Terry has received interest from the Mavericks as well, but it sounds like he'll be returning to the Rockets for at least one more season. We'll keep an eye on JET's situation as it progresses, but the 37-year-old can be ignored in all but the deepest fantasy leagues at this point in his career.
Jul 14 - 10:57 AM

The Mavericks have reached out to Jason Terry to gauge the veteran's interest in a potential reunion.

Dallas needs to find minimum salary players to fill out its roster after shopping on Rodeo Drive in free agency and the runway could be clearing for the JET to land one more time at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. Terry makes sense so long as he's healthy and capable of playing a real role in the rotation.
Jul 6 - 10:16 AM

Jason Terry, who will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, said that Houston is the best fit for him.

"I want another opportunity to fight for a championship and Houston right now is the best fit for me," Terry said. "I love the progression we made. I love the coaching staff. I hope I am a part of the future, but I appreciate everything. I appreciate the opportunity." Terry is a knowledgeable veteran with championship experience, but his days of being relevant in standard fantasy leagues are long behind him. He may or may not return with the Rockets next year, but he's not going to be anything more than a backup wherever he lands, meaning he's not a guy to target in most leagues.
