Jason Terry reportedly expects to play meaningful minutes for the Bucks this upcoming season.
"He wants his minutes," said an NBA executive, whose team had shown some interest in signing Terry. "He didn’t go [to Milwaukee] to sit on the bench." Terry will provide the Bucks with some much-needed 3-point shooting, but it's just not realistic to expect the 38-year-old to eclipse the 20-minute mark on most nights. He's off the radar just about everywhere. Aug 28 - 2:48 PM

Jason Terry is ready to embrace a mentorship role in Milwaukee.

"If you look at all playoff and championship teams, they have solid veteran guys to steer the ship," Terry said. "There are going to be times during the season when the coach’s voice, some of the young guys get tired of hearing it. That’s when the veteran leadership steps in and says, ‘No, we’re not going to go away from the ship. We’re going to continue to follow the right direction.’" Most if not all of Terry's value will be behind the scenes with the Bucks, but there's little doubt he could help them space the floor in certain lineups.

Jason Terry said he had other options before he signed with the Bucks.

While Terry signed with the Bucks, his free agency search mainly focused on joining a contender. "I had a couple of contenders that I was seriously looking at," Terry said. "Two of them were in the Finals. I made a call to Pop. San Antonio was another one. I always thought about going back and trying to finish off where I started in Atlanta. I liked what they did. And then I seriously considered Boston, though we didn't have a conversation." The 38-year-old will now serve as a bench player for the Bucks and won't have much fantasy value this season.

Bucks sign G Jason Terry.

It's official for the 38-year-old guard. Terry is going to add a veteran presence to the Bucks as a backup. He's not a lock for the rotation, but the Bucks could definitely use another shooter.
Aug 22 - 6:43 PM

Updating a previous report, Jason Terry's deal with the Bucks is expected to be finalized on Monday.

Terry will serve as a veteran presence in Milwaukee's locker room, but his fantasy value will be non-existent earning limited minutes behind Kris Middleton and Matthew Dellavedova.
Aug 19 - 6:21 PM

The Bucks are expected to sign Jason Terry on Friday.

The Bucks are also expected to reach an agreement with Steve Novak soon, meaning the 14th and 15th roster spots will be filled. The Bucks certainly could use some more floor spacing, but Terry is expected to have a limited role off the bench.
Aug 19 - 1:49 PM

The Bucks are in "advanced discussions" to sign Jason Terry, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Besides Khris Middleton, the Bucks have a massive need for shooters. Terry would likely be more of emergency depth and add some veteran leadership to a young team, so it's a decent fit. If JET is up for another season, this would be a good spot for him. He would be the 14th player on the roster.
Aug 18 - 9:57 PM

Jason Terry confirmed that he will not re-sign with the Rockets.

It sounds as though Houston wasn't interested in the 39-year-old free agent, though Terry said that he won't retire this summer. He'd prefer to join a contender, but added that he'd be fine serving as a veteran mentor. "My body feels great," he said in June. "My mind is still sharp." So far we haven't heard about any teams pursing Terry in free agency.
Jul 20 - 8:44 PM

Jason Terry is looking to play at least one more season in the NBA.

The 39-year-old enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, but isn't planning on hanging it up just yet. "Not retiring at all," he said. "Just looking for another opportunity to get back on a contender. But if that opportunity doesn't present itself, still being able to go in and have an impact in the locker room on the younger players and provide quality minutes off the bench. My body feels great. My mind is still sharp." While Terry can be a veteran shooter off the bench wherever he signs, he doesn't provide much fantasy value at this stage of his career.

Jason Terry said he guarantees that the Rockets will take the series back to Houston with a Game 5 victory over Golden State on Wednesday.

"It's going to be a nice flight home once we get this win [Wednesday]," said Terry. "I'm guaranteeing it." Terry is never one to lack in confidence, and he even joked about prematurely adding a Larry O'Brien Trophy tattoo to his arm. Terry got a Larry O'Brien Trophy tattoo with a Mavs logo during the preseason of Dallas' title run, but then also did the same when he was traded to the Celtics in 2012, essentially ruining a once legendary move as the Celtics were eliminated by the Knicks' during their first-round series.
Apr 27 - 12:29 PM

Jason Terry scored seven points with one rebound, one assist, two steals, one block and no turnovers in 24 minutes against the Warriors on Saturday.

He played more than expected because Patrick Beverley was in foul trouble. Terry did not have a good game, so expect him to only see minutes in the teens.
Apr 16 - 6:45 PM

Jason Terry would like to play two more years before he retires.

When asked by reporters if this was his last season, Terry responded by saying we haven't seen the last of him yet. "No, not at all - unless there's just an outrageous opportunity that presents itself in the coaching world," Terry said. "Other than that, my goal is to play two more years. So you'll see a lot more of me." While Terry can help teams as a veteran off the bench, he's limited to deep league fantasy value at this stage of his career.
Apr 7 - 9:46 AM

Jason Terry scored 15 points off the bench on Saturday against the Spurs with one rebound, three assists and three 3-pointers during a blowout loss.

He could get some extra run, but he obviously won't be this good. Terry is only worth a look in deep leagues.
Feb 27 - 11:13 PM

Jason Terry's workload will increase with Marcus Thornton no longer in Houston.

"We'll still be monitoring him, but we had a conversation [Friday] that his workload is going to increase, back-to-backs and things like that," Rockets coach J.B. Bickerstaff said. "Obviously, we're not going to run him into the ground." Terry may see a few more minutes on a nightly basis, but it won't be enough for him to make an impact in most fantasy leagues. He has season averages of 5.7 points, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.3 treys.
Feb 21 - 10:42 AM

Jason Terry was reportedly heard walking through the media room on his way to the locker room saying the Rockets lacked chemistry.

"No chemistry with that group. [expletive] horrible," Terry reportedly said. The Rockets dropped out of the top eight in the Western Conference and this break is not going to be fun. It's worth noting this report was also confirmed from other reporters.
