Jason Terry (rest) will not play Saturday vs. the Wizards.
He'll be on the active roster for both Wednesday's game vs. the Spurs and Friday's game vs. the Thunder, but the 16-year veteran will rest on Saturday. He's not a viable fantasy option in almost any league. Jan 27 - 12:36 PM

Date:

Jason Terry returned to the bench on Sunday, tallying just eight points, two 3-pointers and one assist in 20 minutes.

Unless you’re in an extremely deep league and absolute desperate for 3-pointers, there’s no incentive to own JET while Patrick Beverley and Ty Lawson are healthy.
Jan 24 - 6:56 PM

Jason Terry will come off the bench on Sunday vs. the Mavericks.

Patrick Beverley (ankle) is starting as expected, so this isn't a surprise. Terry can be dropped in almost all leagues.
Jan 24 - 1:53 PM

Jason Terry scored six points in a start against the Bucks on Friday, adding one rebound, two assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 19 minutes.

He's probably just keeping the seat warm for Patrick Beverley (ankle), who is only day-to-day. Terry can be left on the wire.
Jan 23 - 1:25 AM

Jason Terry will start against the Bucks on Friday.

He might have to stay hot to remain in the starting lineup and the Rockets will go with an offensive-first approach. Leave Terry on the wire.
Jan 22 - 7:47 PM

Jason Terry (knee) will play against the Bucks on Friday.

He should get the bulk of the backup point guard minutes. His status makes guys like Marcus Thornton slightly less appealing and the same can be said for Ty Lawson. It's a bad matchup against Michael Carter-Williams anyway.
Jan 22 - 6:59 PM

Jason Terry (knee) participated in the morning shootaround.

He is still questionable to play against the Bucks on Friday, but he may to have to give it a go with Patrick Beverley (ankle) ailing. Regardless, Terry is only on the radar in very deep leagues now that Ty Lawson is finally coming around.
Jan 22 - 12:03 PM

Jason Terry (right knee pain) is questionable to play Friday vs. the Bucks.

With Patrick Beverley's (ankle) status also up in the air for Friday, Ty Lawson could be logging close to 40 minutes Friday night if both Beverley and Terry aren't able to give it a go. Lawson actually played well on Wednesday, scoring 18 points in 35 minutes to go with five boards, three assists and four turnovers, so he could be worth a look in DFS on Friday night if he again draws the start.
Jan 21 - 2:37 PM

Jason Terry (illness) started vs. the Lakers on Sunday but finished with only two points, three assists and one turnover in 17 minutes.

Terry shot 1-of-4 from the field and may have still been under the weather. Houston had the luxury of playing Ty Lawson 31 minutes, and they had the game under control after three quarters, so there was no reason to push Terry at less than 100 percent. Tonight's performance is the latest reminder that the 16-year veteran is not a reliable fantasy option.
Jan 18 - 12:02 AM

Jason Terry (illness) will play vs. the Lakers on Sunday.

Terry's availability could prove critical if Patrick Beverley (ankle) can't suit up -- Bev is headed for a game-time decision. Terry would split minutes with Ty Lawson even if Beverley can't suit up, so he's not an appealing plug-and-play option.
Jan 17 - 8:12 PM

Jason Terry (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Lakers.

The Rockets really need because Patrick Beverley (ankle) is a game-time call. Terry sat out of the morning shootaround, so he clearly isn't 100 percent. Expect Ty Lawson to see a boost in minutes if Beverley or Terry are held out.
Jan 17 - 1:58 PM

Jason Terry will return to the bench for Friday's game vs. the Cavs.

Patrick Beverley (personal) is back with the starters after a one-game absence, and this news queues the end of JET's brief run as a relevant names in fantasy hoops.
Jan 15 - 9:32 PM

Jason Terry made a fill-in start for Patrick Beverley (personal) on Wednesday, scoring 10 points with one assist and one steal in 26 minutes vs. the Wolves.

Just how much do the Rockets rely on 3-pointers and free throws? They're scoring less than half of their points (49.2 percent) on 2-point field goals this season, two percentage points fewer than the perimeter-happy Warriors. Terry canned a pair of triples tonight but that's about the extent of his fantasy contributions, and he's not a viable option with Beverley day-to-day.
Jan 14 - 12:46 AM

Jason Terry will enter the starting five for Wednesday's game vs. the Timberwolves with Patrick Beverley (personal) unavailable.

Terry hasn't been great as a starter this season, owning averages of just 7.8 points, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.8 three-pointers per game on 39.3 percent shooting from the field. He's more of a streamer option for those seeking some 3-point shooting rather than a legit DFS threat. With JET starting, Ty Lawson's upside is limited, and he's not a great DFS target either.
Jan 13 - 6:29 PM

Jason Terry played 20 minutes against the Jazz on Thursday with 12 points, two boards, two assists and two 3-pointers.

With Ty Lawson suspended for two more games, Terry will be in the rotation. He's only someone worth owning in very deep leagues and isn't a strong DFS target considering the Rockets play on bigger slates in the next two.
