The Portland Trailblazers are considering signing Kenny Thomas to provide depth to their injury depleted front court.

Thomas has held value in the past...as in five years ago. Even if the Blazers do sign him, he's not worth adding to your lineup.

Kings veteran Kenny Thomas had a throwback game vs. Amare Stoudemire and the Suns on Saturday, grabbing 18 rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench.

Thomas chipped in a steal and a block, but he scored four points and it's hard to get too excited about this game. He's averaging 14 minutes per game and his previous season-high was six rebounds.

To his credit, Thomas did play some solid defense. He has value for the Kings, but not for fantasy owners.

Sam Amick of the Sacramento Bee reports that Kenny Thomas did not make the trip to Oklahoma City with the Kings for Wednesday night's game due to the flu.

This news shouldn't cause a ripple even in the deepest of fantasy leagues, as Thomas does not appear to be in line to play anything close to significant minutes this season.

There was a Kenny Thomas sighting of sorts on Monday, as the veteran forward returned to action from a calf injury and had two points, eight rebounds, four steals and a block in 24 minutes off the bench.

This was Thomas' first appearance in a game since November 1, and once Spencer Hawes returns from an abdomen injury this kind of playing time is not likely to be available.

Thomas is stuck behind way too many players in the Kings' frontcourt, and it would take a barrage of injuries for him to gain any fantasy value.

Thomas won't play enough minutes to warrant fantasy consideration, though coach Kenny Natt described him as "a very good, if not the best, post defender" on the roster.

Thomas is likely day-to-day and shouldn't miss much time, but his fantasy stock is pretty low right now and he's a long-shot to be worth a roster spot again this season.
