The Charlotte Observer suggests that the Bobcats may be interested in Milt Palacio.

After cutting Alan Anderson, Charlotte is expected to sign a third point guard in time for Tuesday's game. In addition to Palacio, Penny Hardaway could be a possibility, the Observer suggests. Palacio's agent confirmed that he was asked last week by the Bobcats about his client's availability. Palacio couldn't make the Sonics this year as he attempted to return from microfracture surgery on his knee.

The Sonics waived point guard Milt Palacio on Thursday.

He couldn't beat out Mike Wilks for the third point guard job, and was trying to return from microfracture surgery on his left knee.

Milt Palacio - G - Thunder

Milt Palacio said Thursday that his left knee is feeling great and healing well following microfracture surgery performed about a month ago.

Palacio becomes an unrestricted free agent in July, but he continues to rehab regularly at the Jazz's practice facility and remains open to the notion of re-signing for a second season in Utah.

Milt Palacio has surgery planned to repair his damaged left knee, his agent confirmed.

"The report I received is that they need to do a little cleanup of some loose particles in his knee," agent Andy Miller said. "It's nothing major, but we're better off doing it now." Miller suggested the surgery will not prevent Palacio, an unrestricted free agent this summer, from being fully ready to play next season.

Milt Palacio did not play Wednesday due to inflammation in his left knee, marking the first time this season he has missed a game due to injury.

An MRI performed after the game proved negative, and Palacio remains out day-to-day.

Milt Palacio (hip) had 17 points on 8-for-12 shooting tonight against the Bobcats.

Palacio was held out of practice yesterday because of the injury, but was healthy enough to play tonight. He's been quietly very productive over the past month and is worth consideration in larger leagues despite the new reserve role.

Milt Palacio was held out of practice Tuesday because of a strained right hip, but he intends to play against the Hornets.

He was recently replaced by Devin Brown in the starting lineup recently. Palacio averaged 11.9 PPG and 4.4 APG in the month of February.

Milt Palacio sprained his right pinky finger late in Tuesday's game and is probable tonight.

Palacio is quietly averaging 13.5 PPG, 4.9 APG and 1.3 SPG in the month of Feburary. He's worth consideration in larger leagues while Gordan Giricek deals with an achilles' injury.

He's put up very nice lines in back-to-back games, and it's not a coincidence that Keith McLeod has missed their last two games while undergoing medical tests.

Palacio shot 9-for-16 from the floor in his 28 minutes. He's averaging 12.2 PPG during February now after moving up in the point guard depth charts.

Palacio is officially feeling it right now. He poured in a season-high 17 in his past game, and is shooting 12-for-17 the past two contests. Palacio and Deron Williams are seeing the majority of backcourt minutes lately, despite coming off the bench.

He came off the bench as Deron Williams got his first start. Keith McLeod was nursing a back injury. McLeod might want to get well soon, before he loses his job to either one of these guys.
