Adrian Griffin had his interview with the Rockets on Monday.

All signs point to the job being Mike D'Antoni's to lose, but the Rockets are still doing their due diligence. Even if Griffin doesn't walk away with the Houston gig, he should have no trouble finding work as an assistant coach.

The Rockets will interview Adrian Griffin for their head-coaching position.

Griffin is currently an assistant coach with the Magic, but he will be the 12th candidate that the Rockets are considering. After reports seemed to indicate that Stephen Silas and Mike D'Antoni are the frontrunners for the job, it's clear that this coaching search is far from over.

The Magic reportedly interviewed Adrian Griffin for their head coaching position on Tuesday.

Griffin served as Scott Skiles' lead assistant coach during the 2015-16 season, and he also spent time working as an assistant coach on Tom Thibodeau's staff in Chicago from 2010 to 2015. Thus far, Frank Vogel has been the only other guy mentioned as a potential candidate to land the head coaching vacancy in Orlando, but given his resume, Vogel likely has the edge on Griffin for the job.

The Magic have hired Adrian Griffin as their lead assistant coach, sources told the Orlando Sentinel.

Griffin was on Tom Thibodeau's staff with the Bulls, and now he'll head down to Florida to join Scott Skiles' staff with the Magic.

Signs are pointing towards Adrian Griffin becoming an assistant coach on Scott Skiles staff in Orlando.

Griffin was an assistant coach under Tom Thibodeau in Chicago, so he'd bring some of that defensive grit to Orlando's coaching staff. Skiles is also reportedly still holding a spot on his bench for James Borrego, but it remains unclear at this point if Borrego is interested in returning to an assistant role with the Magic.

Adrian Griffin will have a second interview with the Jazz for their head coaching position.

He has also been interviewed by the Cavs and Knicks, but seems to have less competition for the Jazz job. Griffin was an assistant for the Bulls last year and also has nine years of playing experience on his resumé.

Bulls assistant coach Adrian Griffin will interview for the Cavaliers' vacant head coaching position on Tuesday.

Griffin, who has also been linked to the Utah Jazz, faces competition from Tyronn Lue, Lonel Hollins, and possibly Alvin Gentry. The Cleveland Plain Dealer also writes that Chauncey Billups may receive "some consideration" for the position, though Billups' desire is to become a GM rather than a coach.

Chicago Bulls assistant coach Adrian Griffin and Los Angeles Clippers associate head coach Alvin Gentry have emerged as serious candidates to land the Utah Jazz head coaching gig, according to multiple reports.

Each coach has very different styles, with Gentry specializing in offense, and defense being Griffin's calling card. It'll be interesting to see which coaching philosophy wins the Utah gig, but GM Dennis Lindsey has made it known that he is in no hurry to make a final decision. "We’re not going to talk about who and what and when and where," Lindsey said. "But we’re very comfortable with the level of coach that’s out there... I think we’ll come up with a good coach."

The Jazz were given permission on Tuesday to interview Bulls' assistant coach Adrian Griffin for their head coaching vacancy, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Griffin has been an assistant coach in the NBA since 2008. He spent two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks and has been an assistant under Tom Thibodeau since 2010. The Jazz have been looking for a new coach since the firing of Ty Corbin back in April. Utah has a few good young pieces to build around, including Trey Burke, Derrick Favors, and restricted free agent Gordon Hayward, so they will be in rebuilding mode for the 2014-15 season.

Oklahoma City traded Adrian Griffin to the Bucks on Wednesday.

In total, Griffin scored 65 points in the 2007-2008 season. He is a nice role-player with some defensive skills, but won’t be able to help fantasy owners in Milwaukee or anywhere else.

Adrian Griffin started Sunday's game against the Lakers in place of injured Luol Deng (back). Griffin failed to score and committed four fouls in 13 minutes of play.

Scott Skiles suggested that he would play his veterans more, so despite Griffin's poor performance, he might continue to start. Tyrus Thomas shot 1-of-6 in 13 minutes and his value has taken a serious nose-dive in the past week, but wait a little while longer before deciding whether to cut Thomas.

Adrian Griffin returned to action on Saturday, registering one rebound and three assists in seven minutes of playing time.

Griffin shouldn't have any fantasy value this season.

With the activation of Joakim Noah, Adrian Griffin was the odd man out of coach Scott Skiles' rotation Tuesday.

"I just sort of arbitrarily chose Griff," Skiles said. Griffin has no fantasy value anyway.
Wed, Nov 7, 2007 08:50:00 AM

Adrian Griffin did not take part in practice Tuesday because of a back injury he sustained while working out over the summer.

He'll have no fantasy value even if healthy this season.
