Anthony Carter worked out with the Bobcats on Wednesday.

This is not an indication that the Bobcats are necessarily interested, but Carter played for the Nuggets when new coach Mike Dunlap was an assistant in Denver. Carter played in 24 games for the Raptors last season.

Anthony Carter said he wants to continue his playing career.

Carter has a standing offer from George Karl to become an assistant coach in Denver when he's ready to walk away, but Carter said he can "still help a team." Carter's agent, Bill Duffy, is still "searching for interested teams," which illustrates the level of interest in Carter's services right now.

The Rockets have "reached out" to Anthony Carter's agent about signing his client.

Team beat writer Jonathan Feigen believes it could be a sign that the Rockets are interested in buyout out Derek Fisher's contract. Carter is highly unlikely to accrue fantasy value regardless of where he lands.

Dwane Casey confirmed that the Raptors have released Anthony Carter in order for him to join a playoff team.

Carter will look to join a contender as an insurance policy at the end of the bench.

The Toronto Raptors have decided to "cut ties" with Anthony Carter.

The Raptors will try to move him in a deal over the next week and a half or outright release him. The Raptors would like to use more of their youth and that doesn't leave much room for the veteran. He's been sidelined with a stomach muscle problem over the last three games.

Anthony Carter, who had been averaging just over eight minutes per game in 20 games this season, played a season-high 21 minutes on Wednesday, and responded with 10 points, six assists and five rebounds.

Dwane Casey strikes again. Carter was solid tonight, but don't expect tonight's line to become a trend. He has no fantasy value.

The Raptors have signed 13-year veteran PG Anthony Carter.

Carter will sit at the end of the bench and dole out wisdom to a squad with mostly younger players. He will be the No. 3 point guard behind Jose Calderon and Jerryd Bayless, who are knee deep in a position battle.

Impending free agent Anthony Carter hopes to re-sign with the New York Knicks.

Although he's in the twilight of his career, Carter is a serviceable veteran at the end of the bench who shouldn't cost much to keep around. He proved he can still play in Game 4 with 11 points, five rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes and it wouldn't be surprising to see him back at MSG next year.

Knicks acquired Anthony Carter via trade from the Nuggets.

Carter is just a salary dump and does not project to be part of the Knicks' rotation. His $1.3 million contract is up after this season.

The Nuggets have officially re-signed 12-year NBA veteran Anthony Carter.

Carter, 35, has averaged 5.6 points and 4.5 assists in his four seasons with Denver. The Nuggets appreciate his gritty play and experience, but he doesn't offer much of value to fantasy owners.

Impending free agent G Anthony Carter said he hopes to sign a one-year deal to remain in Denver.

Carter will be entering his age-35 season and the Nuggets already have Ty Lawson as their backup point guard. If Carter is brought back, it will be as a coach in uniform -- similar to Anthony Johnson's role with the Magic.

Anthony Carter played 33 minutes off the bench in Sunday's loss to the Grizzlies, and totaled eight points on 3-of-6 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and a block.

All signs pointed towards rookie Ty Lawson having more value in Chauncey Billups' (groin) absence, but in this game it was Carter. Billups is likely to return in the Nuggets' next game on Wednesday, so look at this line as a one-time deal.

The Nuggets might consider trading veteran guard Anthony Carter, according to Fanhouse.com.

Carter has fallen behind Ty Lawson on the depth chart, but he has accepted his role and said recently that he wants to stay in Denver. He also has the right to veto any potential trade.
