Free agent Etan Thomas is reportedly "strongly considering" playing in Spain next season.
Well, that's not exactly a promising sign for labor negotiations. Thomas has been integral in the (limited) talks, and his agent said that Thomas doesn't believe the lockout will end this season. As the Vice President of the Player's Association, his departure abroad could be a harbinger of a lengthy lockout. Thu, Jul 21, 2011 07:33:00 PM

Etan Thomas has re-joined the Hawks after missing Game 3 due to the death of his grandfather.

Thomas may actually get some minutes with Zaza Pachulia sidelined, but that's no cause for excitement.

Etan Thomas may not be available for Friday's Game 3 against the Magic due to a death in his family.

Thomas was active for Game 1 to give fouls on Dwight Howard, but was inactive in Game 2. If Thomas is indeed unavailable, Hilton Armstrong would likely be active again.

Etan Thomas didn't travel with the Hawks to Toronto for Wednesday's game due to being snowed in at his home.

He must have an incredibly steep and ice-covered driveway, or you would think the Hawks would have had him shoveled out. Then again, it's just Etan Thomas, so they may not have thought it was worth the hassle.

The Hawks signed free agent center Etan Thomas, who played for the Thunder last season.

Thomas is probably more well known for continuously fighting with ex-teammate Brendan Haywood and for having heart surgery than he is for his basketball skills. He'll definitely have a role with the Hawks, but we'd be a lot more excited about him had this happened three or four years ago.

Free agent center Etan Thomas is reportedly close to a deal with the Hawks.

Thomas isn't likely to play a fantasy-worthy role with any team, including Atlanta (even if the Hawks are serious about playing Al Horford more at PF). The nine-year veteran averaged 3.3 points and 2.8 rebounds with the Thunder last season.

Etan Thomas, who hasn't played since Dec. 4, had four points and three rebounds in 15 minutes of Wednesday's loss.

Serge Ibaka is a relevant big man in the OKC, while Thomas is not.

Etan Thomas is hoping to be traded, according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports.

Thomas has fallen out of the rotation and hasn't played since Dec. 4. At 31 and coming off ACL surgery, Thomas is likely incapable of helping out a contender.

Etan Thomas sat out again on Saturday, though it's not clear if he's injured or just out of the rotation.

Thomas never even removed his warmups to shoot around before the third quarter on Saturday, leading beat writer Darnell Mayberry to conclude, "Thomas is hurt or no longer cares...I'll get with the latter." Whether he's healthy or not, he has no fantasy appeal.

Thunder center Etan Thomas will miss another game on Tuesday with lingering flu-like symptoms.

Thomas will miss the chance to play against his old team, the Wizards, but should be ready to go for OKC's next game, Thursday vs. the Jazz.

Thunder center Etan Thomas sat out Saturday's game with an illness.

Thomas doesn't have fantasy value, though his absence gives a few more minutes to Nick Collison and Nenad Krstic.

Etan Thomas played just 17 minutes in his spot start for injured Nenad Krstic (Achilles) on Sunday, scoring only six points to go with three rebounds and a steal.

Thomas proved his value in fantasy leagues on Sunday, which as you can see is "not much." Even with two rotational centers out, he was unable to muster a respectable performance.

Etan Thomas came off the bench behind Nenad Krstic and scored 12 points with nine rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two blocks on Thursday.

Thomas and Krstic are competing over the starting center position, and if you're unlucky enough to be considering either of them, note that Krstic scored just eight points and had just three rebounds tonight.

Etan Thomas got another start for the Thunder and had 11 points, two boards, a steal and a block on 4-of-4 shooting.

We still expect Nenad Krstic to start on opening night, but when both are healthy, it looks like they're going to split minutes in the middle.

Thunder center Etan Thomas (knee) got a start on Monday and had six points, three rebounds, and two turnovers in 20 minutes.

Nick Collison (ankle), Nenad Krstic (illness) and B.J. Mullens all sat out, leaving plenty of minutes for Thomas, Serge Ibaka, and D.J. White. Out of that heap of mid-level bigs, only Collison and Krstic have potential fantasy value.
