Free agent DeShawn Stevenson wrote on Saturday, "Miami Heat Where I Wanna Go!!!"

He followed that up by asking LeBron to "make it happen," which is ironic since Stevenson, as a member of the Mavericks in 2011, called LBJ "overrated" (and wore a T-shirt after the Finals which read, "Hey LeBron! How's My Dirk Taste?"). Stevenson's ailing knee kept him out of back-to-back games last year, but he should have enough gas in the tank to earn a one-year minimum deal in Miami or somewhere else.

Hawks waived SG DeShawn Stevenson.

Stevenson appeared in 56 games for the Hawks last season, averaging 5.1 points while playing 20.7 minutes a night. He had two years and roughly $4.4 million remaining on his contract, so expect the buyout to be around that amount. Stevenson is known as a defensive stopper, but his offensive ineptitude will keep his market cool. Over the last four seasons, he's shot 34.6 percent (321-of-927) from the field.

DeShawn Stevenson will be in the starting lineup Wednesday night.

Stevenson will be one of the few Hawks regulars in the lineup, as Devin Harris, Jeff Teague, Josh Smith, Kyle Korver and Al Horford sit out.

DeShawn Stevenson (cold) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Raptors.

Stevenson doesn't play on both sides of back-to-backs anyway, so he'll rest in this one. He could be back for his usual 15-20 minutes in Wednesday's regular-season finale. Jeff Teague, Devin Harris and John Jenkins will form that Hawks' three-guard rotation Tuesday.

DeShawn Stevenson (rest) practiced on Monday.

Stevenson does not play in back-to-back sets in order to keep him healthy, so this is just a reminder that he should be good for Wednesday's game against the Sixers.

DeShawn Stevenson returned from an ankle injury on Friday, scoring three points with one board, one steal and one 3-pointer against the Blazers.

He has been in and out of the lineup all year and he suffered his ankle injury in Wednesday's game. He has no fantasy value.

DeShawn Stevenson went to the locker room after suffering a lower left leg contusions and his return to the game is listed as probable.

He stayed in the game to shoot his free throws and then went through the tunnel to have it looked at. He never returned and finished with one point in six minutes, and should be considered day-to-day.

DeShawn Stevenson (knees) was scoreless in 13 minutes vs. the Nets on Saturday.

The Hawks threw a bit of a curveball this weekend, benching DeShawn on Friday in the first game of a back-to-back set. He shouldn't be in fantasy lineups, regardless of his availability, and we anticipate a few more random DNPs in the coming five weeks.
Sat, Mar 9, 2013 09:43:00 PM

DeShawn Stevenson (rest) will not play in Friday's game against the Celtics.

Stevenson, who doesn't suit up for both sides of back-to-backs, will play on Saturday. The Hawks are starting Jeff Teague, Devin Harris, Josh Smith, Al Horford and Johan Petro Friday night.
Fri, Mar 8, 2013 06:48:00 PM

DeShawn Stevenson dislocated his left middle finger against in Friday's game and he returned three minutes into the second quarter.

The X-rays were negative and finished with five points and not much else in 12 minutes. Stevenson is more of a role player and since he sits out to rest quite a bit, there's not much reason to pick him up in almost any league.
Fri, Mar 1, 2013 09:24:00 PM

DeShawn Stevenson got a start at shooting guard on Monday, scoring seven points with one board, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes.

He doesn't get consistent minutes and coach Larry Drew has a tendency to rest Stevenson due to his ailing back and knee. He's not worth owning in the vast majority of leagues.
Mon, Feb 25, 2013 10:48:00 PM

DeShawn Stevenson sat out Saturday's game for prescribed rest in the second of back-to-back games.

The restriction on Stevenson playing consecutive nights seems to be working, as his chronically balky knees have held up pretty well thus far.
Sun, Feb 24, 2013 01:50:00 AM

DeShawn Stevenson started and scored 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting (all threes) with two rebounds and one steal over 34 minutes in the Hawks' 122-108 win over the Kings.

Stevenson can't be counted on to play on any given night and fantasy owners should simply ignore tonight's result.
Fri, Feb 22, 2013 11:45:00 PM

DeShawn Stevenson will start for the Hawks on Friday.

Anthony Tolliver will come off the bench if he plays, but he and his wife just welcomed a new child. Stevenson is not an option in any fantasy format. Zaza Pachulia will also draw another start.
