Eduardo Najera - F/C - Bobcats

Updating a previous item, Eduardo Najera is reportedly considering retirement, according to Peter Vecsey of the New York Post.

We're taking this with a grain of salt considering it was just reported late on Wednesday night that Najera was fully healthy and had been drawing interest as an unrestricted free agent, but it wouldn't be too surprising if he walked away from the game. Najera, 36, averaged 2.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 22 games for the Bobcats last year.

Eduardo Najera is fully recovered from a fractured frontal bone in his forehead, and the Nets, Rockets, and Wolves are interested in his services according to Yahoo! Sports' Mark Spears.

We wouldn't be surprised to see a team pick him up, and likewise we wouldn't be surprised if this was an agent-side report trying to drum up interest. Najera is about as beat up as anybody in the association and has no fantasy value.

Eduardo Najera had surgery to repair a fractured frontal bone in his forehead on Saturday, and he is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Najera was fortunate to avoid any brain injuries, and he should be fine for next season.

Eduardo Najera (head injury) was able to fly back to Charlotte with his teammates, but he will not play on Saturday and is likely out for the rest of the season.

Najera has a fractured 'frontal bone' and could be out a while, but it's fantastic news that he didn't suffer any brain trauma. There are few classier veterans in the league today.

Eduardo Najera was taken to the hospital on Friday night after fracturing the frontal lobe in his forehead and will have tests done immediately.

We will update you on the results of the tests as soon as we know more. Najera went scoreless in two minutes of action before exiting.

Eduardo Najera returned from a knee injury on Wednesday, playing 19 minutes and finishing with two points and eight rebounds.

Najera may get some run down the stretch, but the youth movement needs to happen in Charlotte immediately, and Najera is not young.

Najera had picked up some playing time with Boris Diaw in the doghouse, but his age has caught up with him and his knee is flaring up once again. If Najera can't play, Diaw will likely be activated, but it remains to be seen if he actually gets into the game.

Najera had been seeing real burn since Boris Diaw's deactivation and now his 35-year-old body is paying for it in the form of a sore knee. If Najera can't go, the Bobcats will activate Boris Diaw, but it is unknown if he will play or not.

Eduardo Najera played 18 minutes in his second game of the season, scoring six points (two 3s) and grabbing four rebounds.

It's important to note that D.J. White was out with a knee injury, but Najera is a tough veteran with 3-point range and Paul Silas may very well use him 15-20 minutes off the bench.
